Let’s be honest, if you were to make a character from season 1 a clone, it would be scorponok, he practically had the personality and character development of a clone, it would only make sense to make him into an army builder
As much as I detest Beast Machines, Megatron was very likely inspired to use clone drones after having the exceptionally obedient soldiers: Scorponok, Inferno and Dinobot 2. And also decided to take things further by using sparkless drones to eliminate virtually any chance of disobedience.
i would imagine if both maximals and predacons have a small army based of their logos , like having a army of wasps in the predacons and cheetahs for for the maximals.

As at least one other person said, if we're talking loyalty, Inferno would have made more sense to make clones of. Not only was he loyal, he was also an effective warrior and skilled in battle. Plus, his tendency to call Beast Wars Megatron "my Queen" could have provided some sorely needed levity to this series.
Friendly reminder that Scorponok from Earthrise is one member of a *faction* of Scorponoks, complete with their own faction symbol. The Kingdom Scorponoks would likely be more members of that same faction, from the future.
Honestly, I think it’s mostly because they didn’t want to make models of the rest of the predicons (other than Blackarachnia), so they just used Scorponok’s model for budgetary reasons 😂
I think they were just too lazy to make character models for waspinator, terrorsaur, and tarantulus. But they still managed to fit in 2 refractor characters
I thought that maybe in the original there was supposed to be many scorpiok but actually in the crash they all were damaged. Leaving only one, super loyal grunt. I also, imagined that it was Tarantulus that sabotaged the predacious transwarp drive in the first series, since he was part of the tripredicus council. A group that didn't care about the predacons winning but had their own agenda. In kingdom then predacious actually arrive on the planet in the correct time frame, leading dinobot to stay with Megatron because he never looses faith in him. It is clear in beast wars that the predacons arrive on earth many years later, when the autobots and decepticons are in stasis lock. Where as in Kingdom they are on earth before the G1 characters, allowing them to watch their ships fall from the sky. All in all, small changes in the time line, probably due to interference by Galvatron causes things to change slightly in this series.
Multiple Scorponoks in one episode at the same time. I know real Scorpions have been known to replicate or duplicate themselves over time but this is really pushing it.
I thought he had an ability similar to mirage as we seen in the first series. He is able to create physical copies of himself that can absorb physical attacks. Since scorponok is from the future. It could very easily be an upgraded technology to help BW Megatron fill his ranks (god commenting about 2 different characters with exactly the same name is driving me crazy) also remeber that starscream and megatron both used cloaking technologies which was a new ability for both of them. Also remember in episode 2 i think when their rolling down the hill and the other autobot transforms into multiple blasters instead of the twin cannons like we see in the first series. This new timeline could have unique abilities that we never seen before because in the og series. Mirage could only disappear instead of cloning himself. That's what hound does.
i personally think that, like smokescreen can phase through walls with a device in transformers prime, i think scorponok either stole, or created a device that gives him the ability to clone himself... or he just has that ability naturally.
Whatever the in story explanation I think it might have to do with the g1 scorpinok in the install siege story. Remember, when the g1 Scorpinok appeared in earthrise he said he was the last of the Scorpinoks or something to that effect. So maybe something to do with that? I know it's a bit of a stretch. I'm sure it's just them throwing a bunch of his character models in like they did with a few other character models.
I'm surprised you didn't mention anything about the Scorponok in Earthrise. That has to be connected, I don't think they'd bother including that Scorponok randomly and have him mention being the last Scorponok. So it was revealed even back then that there had been more than one.

Hotlink keeps getting blown up and comes back without any explanation, but they don't talk so they might be clones or just more seekers with the same color scheme. Scorpinok isnt the only one. There were so many Cogs and even a red one that was killed and no other autobots mentions his passing, multiple records of Impactor and seekers, even the unexplained clones of grey bumblebee and wheeljack
Maybe the scorponok clones are members of big boy Scorponok’s species or faction since Scorponok did mention there once being many scorponoks and he was aligned to the scorponoks instead of the autobots or decepticons It would make sense that the scorponoks he was referring would be many little guys since the only other “proper” Scorponok we know of is Black Zarak who probably isn’t canon to the WFC Trilogy
Why didn’t they clone waspinator? It makes sense to have him act as an army builder. Wasps come in swarms and hives; plus waspinator gets destroyed all the time. You can justify killing a million of him.
I think the multiple Scorponok's is actually explained in Earthrise. Decepticon Scorponok mentions that he is part of a RACE of Scorponoks. While we don't see any others as he also claims to be the last of his kind this actually sets us up for seeing multiple Predacon Scorponoks later on. They are likely descendants of the Decepticon Scorponok species. The only question remains... if the Decepticon Scorponok was indeed the last of his kind how could there be multiple Scorponoks in the future? Unless he was only the last on the ship where they found him and not actually the last one in existence. Anyway, this still suggests that "Scorponok" is a species like the Sharkticons or Allicons and not the name of any one individual character.

I would have liked a connection between BW Scorponok and G1 Scorponok. In "earthrise" G1 Scorponok claims he's the last of the "Scorponoks". It would make the Earthrise Scorponok happy to see multiple namesakes running around. At the very least it would have connected a narrative thread.

I actually think they were some of the pods that the pred got (and the cons helped get more). while this show doesnt keep to the beast wars lore to a big extent, there is still the battle that happened that got them there and its twords the end of BW that this show starts (seems to me). Its prob more cloned in the pods then the cloning we've seen done. also some of the voices threw me off like crazy. mainly dinobots and tigertrons. D's sounds to human and TI's sounds like old starscream
I never seen the Netflix wfc series yet. But I really don't not like the mixing of g1 transformers and bw transformers together. I just rather have the beast wars maximals and predacons without the g1 transformers. All of the 14 original characters. I don't mind seeing Arcee as a dinosaur mode maximal,Thank You !
I think too much thought was put into it. There needed to be general use filler bots, like the multiple refractor and seeker models from the previous two series. Your origin ideas are good though.
I just hoping this show get some interested but it’s not bit interesting at all! I mean in the original beast wars use to be awesome until they brought transmetal in the story, which shouldn’t be called beastwar in the first place if they gonna make transmetal like that! I personally think it's lazy writing. Studios are getting too comfortable with having a one man army type of battle with nothing but fodder characters instead of having a Bruce Lee one on one confrontation lasting more than a minute
If I can remember correctly, in Earthrise the original G1 Scorponok said he was the last of a Scorponok race. These clones could be actually be descendants of that Scorponok race.

They took time to make clones of scorponok when they could've easily gave us the missing 3 original predacons instead.
