Figures don't have feelings. They are things that are either worth your money or not worth it, and it makes me mad when people with feelings get taken for granted when a company produces a bad figure.
Eh, I strangely like this figure, and I like his alt mode, I'm getting this after Rattrap. I think it's possible to fold the tail more in the robot mode, but I'm not 100% sure.
Sorry for being two years too late, but if you angle the scorpion legs upward, it makes them visible in a diamond array, but surprisingly makes a cleaner back by leaving space for the tail to bunch up. further, if you angle the uppermost legs downward instead, you can further clean up the look.

Fyi, an upgrade kits already out that extends his legs and pretty much fixes his proportions. His beast mode suffers from it but tbh it wasnt a great transformation anyway lol. Good review as always!
Man that was fast of them to have made. But I agree with Nachoprime. Just buy the TE, there's like no price difference if you do, and it will still be better in all ways.
I’m looking forward to getting this figure to fill out my Predacon ranks as it’s mostly just bones and one actual Predacon. With that ab crunch you could probably get a good bow before Lord Megatron.

I take Serious issues with your rankings there My Guy, Waspinator needs to be a lot Higher, and Quickstrike needs to be a lot lower, but it is a VERY hard list to determine outside of that, because the Preds are a FANTASTIC faction of Memorable and Loveable Characters.

Tbh I really like this guy, more than I thought I would. Yea, it's pretty clunky, but I really like his feel. I reminds me of Prime-era scout-class figures for some reason? Just really simple engineering with neither mode particularly working well but damn does it have some charm. Tbh I really liked the scorpion alt mode, too. Can't say particularly why, but it's fun to me. Also, pro-tip to make the scorpion mode look a little cooler: instead of having the claws straight out in front of him, use the elbow joints on the arms and have them more spread out. Looks a bit more intimidating, at least. Tbh I think we got a smidge spoiled with the Transform Element and now this fig doesn't have a chance, lol. Not unjustified in not having a chance, but still.
What gets me about this guy is just his undercarriage. I'd have given this guy a 5 were it not for him just resting on an Oval of Kibble. But if you like it more than me, then don't stop liking it.
So I finally got this figure, and as much as I’ve based this figure since it’s reveal, I’ve found I actually really like him, he feels nice and sturdy, his transformation while fiddly, has some pretty clever parts, and the scorpion mode works well, I’m honestly surprised with how much I like this guy

I literally dont understand why scorponok has so many clones in the kingdom show!!!! He is a single character in beast wars!! I dont know who made that choice while making the show!
@@ratchet2082 waspinator was in the toyline so he could have helped bulk up there army not to mention that the fosilizers would have made much more sense. And because the models for the animations were based directly of the toys it would have been really easy to use them rather than a character who has never been cloned.
@@koalatime6664 The Models for the Beasts characters are not based on the toys, and the show was made way before the toyline, the fossilizer wouldn't have male any sence either, they are not cybertronians.

Your other point is fare how ever, I don't think it would matter but it is still a valid point but the could have at least used seekers in place of scorpinok or swapped heads and colors to make him look different.

Wingfinger is the best Deluxe of the wave and he's Mediocre. I say go with the Galvatron before anything if you can. He is the best one I've had contact with from wave three so far.
I wanted to do more of a comparison between the two, but with the bonus video, I had like NO time to do this one, so it's yet another video I think could have turned out better this week.

I'm not personally gonna buy this unless there's a massive sale but otherwise no. Though I do have to say the upgrade kit which makes his legs longer in robot mode is honestly really good for the figure (robot mode wise). Btw just got SS86 grimlock and it is god tier! Completely worth it!
Yeah it does make the Robot mode look better, but It makes the scorpion mode even sillier. I would be more Ok with this if it was less. And NICE! I sing that things praises to the high heavens as much as I can.
It looks the figures is trying to do three things at once: The show design+The proportions of the original toy+The looks of a real scorpion = A weird looking and feeling figure. The rest of the Kingdom line’s Beast Wars character’s usually stick with the show designs plus the realistic animal looks. Which makes the Scorponok figure even weirder.

Nice review, though I like my Scorponok figure well enough, came with a four pack from Big Bad Toystore (finally got my Wheeljack, my blue G2 Grimlock has a father! lol). Anyway, considering how scorponok is probably the least memorable/interesting Predacon from the entire Beast Wars cartoon, in your opinion, in an alternate universe where we actually got a GOOD Beast Wars reboot series, how do you think Scorponok should be handled? Should he be the same inept stooge he was from the original series or should he be made into a more serious character more worthy of the title of second of command of the Predacons? Or should he just be replaced entirely by someone more interesting/capable like Inferno or Sky-byte etc? Or even Quickstrike since he at least has more personality? I've often wondered this myself, whether he's a character worth reworking or better off replaced, or if making him into a more respectable subcommander would be missing the point of his character completely. Personally, if I was gonna keep him around, I'd try to strive for someone more akin to Lugnut, still a stooge but at least an capable & entertaining stooge rather than someone so bad at his job even Waspinator would take pity on him lol. Otherwise, make way for Inferno! THE ROYALTY'S CHOICE FOOLS! XD P.S. I admit it COULD be interesting to see Scorponok struggle to escape from the shadow of Megatron's first second in command, Dinobot, only to find himself competing with Inferno, a bigger, badder, even MORE subservient minion for Megatron than himself. This figure should have been a voyager with Rattrap filling the deluxe gap. First time transforming him I thought that the head was defective until my brother showed my that it was meant to be sticking out in the instructions. Here are a few notes I have with the figure though: - 1:49 if you angle the scorpion legs upward, it makes them visible in a diamond array, but surprisingly makes a cleaner back by leaving space for the tail to bunch up. - 3:03 It seems like the cyberbee can't connect to optimus primal correctly if at all, which sucks. - 6:11 the stinging action can be done, but it leaves a leg hanging out his rear end that is barely hidden in the photography. Just take the one leg out of the torso cavity and then use the hinge. That leg will take a ton of cheating to almost reintegrate into the beast mode again.
While I understand your qualms with the figure his new stature has now imprinted this Danny Devito aura that does more for him to me then the best masterpiece rendition ever could
This is exactly what I feared in regards to beast wars figures in this line. It was a perfect opportunity for Hasbro to flex and one up 3rd party but dropped the ball on both price and quality.
Lets see kingdom optimus primal is a great figure both in Quality and fun factor cheetor is decent not the best but is not really Bad blackaracnia was pretty good beats wars megatron was good maybe some qc but pretty good Now dinobot was pretty decent the beast mode was prety extrange but is ok and the robót mode is good airazor is awesome good robot mode and good beats mode now in the wave 3 the beats figure not are really that good rhinox is ok and scorponok is meh now from what we see about wave 4 tigatron is pretty good and wasspinator pretty solid so i'm think that the mayority of beats figures were good except wave 3
Been on the hunt for him lately. Will it be worth it? No idea but he looks better than Rhinox that's for sure. I would change the way the underside transforms though, like more room for the leg to go in and be fully covered by the chest.
@@PerspectiveEnd I'll say this, at least they had the decency to put the worst part of the transformation on the underside where it can't really be seen on display. I'll wait til I find him to make a full judgement but I wouldn't call him bad just yet, the weakest of Kingdom so far maybe but rn I'd file him under IT'S WEIRD mainly due to his stocky proportions in robot mode. I think what offends me is we seem to have gotten fewer and fewer beast characters as the line went on. Not counting fossilizers we had Megatron, Primal, Cheetor, Rattrap, and Blackarachnia. That's five in wave one. Then wave two gave us Airazor and Dinobot. Now this gives us a Flat Stanley rhino and a very square Scorponok. They very well could've made room for Inferno Tarantulas and Terrorsaur but instead we get two ER reissues and some kinda panther thing that isn't Ravage, that mark my words will be a straight repaint of Cheetor with a different head. So I guess if anyone ever accuses me of being a Hasbro kiss up because of how I've praised them before, show them this comment lol.
It’s definitely my Hasbro Slut coming out, but I thought this figure was fun in general. Also I have a pretty good time with the transformation, that that could be from the fact that any transformation is more fun than the MPM Starscream lol.
It's really the altmode that kills this for me. It could be the Transformation is more fun than I'm giving it credit for, and the end result offends me so bad that the process getting there is tainted.

By the way my opinions on the kingdom waspinator has changed I don't have the figure yet but honestly looking at it again it doesn't look THAT bad anymore don't get me wrong it's still looks a *bit* ugly but at the same time it also looks pretty cool to me now especially since it looks like a hybrid between his original look and the animated version of him so I think I've changed my mind about that guy I'll check him out.

I was not looking forward to this thing, then I got it and the robot mode impressed me by not being as bad as I anticipated, then the Scorpion mode infuriated me.

I’m still trying to figure out what tactical advantage curved claws have over normal ones. It’s like using a knife or a pair of scissors that curves inward. What purpose does having it curve inward possess over having normal straight claws?
I think it stems from the fact that Scorpions have Hydrolic muscles and an Exoskeleton. Meaning their range of movement is probably limited, so the curved claws probably makes it easier for them to bring something to their face.
Yeah, I had pretty low hopes for this guy, I still feel like I should see the figure in person before I make my final decision, but while I have warmed up to him, I can’t call him more than average, if not slightly below average

I feel like the fossilizer characters would be better suited for army building given their intended purpose as armor & weapon upgrades for other maximals and predacons, plus the Ray Harryhausen style appeal of a skeleton army.

I don't think that's the case. I doubt that was a Mandate of Hasbro, more like the Animators got Lazy and just copy pasted him because they didn't want to make models for other characters. Otherwise they would have made Waspinator.

When I saw pictures of Scorponok, I thought he’d be fairly decent. The back completely ruins the figure for me. That has got to be some of the laziest back kibble I’ve seen from Hasbro. The clue was “(incorrectly).” It was entirely too meta. I only thought it was funny because it was like, 4am. Anyway, given my utter failure to communicate, now is an odd time to acknowledge it. But yes, I am a writer… have been for a few years now. Quit the day job and everything. As for the Christmas movie; it’s my White Whale. That means it’s my dream project. That means it doesn’t exist. Yet. It’s still locked away in the deep recesses of my mind. And the folder labeled “feature treatments” on my desktop. I have like, a 35 page document, but the nature of animated filmmaking is such that writing it on spec is a bad bet, even by spec screenplay standards. That means I have better odds of getting struck by a shark or bitten by lightning than I do of selling a spec script to a studio’s animation division. But then… all of that is part of what makes it my White Whale. It’s a big, splashy, 4-quad blockbuster waiting to happen. The most commercial concept I have ever concocted. And o can barely even describe it out loud without bursting out into tears. It’s THE story I was born to tell. And it’s the one movie that I promise I will either make, or die trying to make. But like, it’s a stop-motion animated family film that would require studio backing and tens of millions of dollars to produce, plus hundreds of animators working in concert over a period of years. And this kinda thing is only done on sound stages, a thing that exists exclusively in major metropolitan areas. So, my pledge is solemn, but… it’s unlikely that I would _die trying._ Not exactly talking about fitzcarraldo here.

You know, I've heard horror stories and complains about his figure for years, but never fully understood where they came from until I got a heavily discounted one to complete my kingdom Beast Wars collection, and after that, everything became clear. The proportions, size, the way it handles kibble, transformation, loose joints, all of this is as messy and bad as you and others pointed out. But honestly, I'm more amused at how bad this figure is rather than mad. Like, I can feel and see that it wanted to be a good Scorponok figure so bad, but failed so miserably at it that I find it humerous. And for me the best part of this figure is the beast mode, which I mostly display it in, and I find more enjoyable than the robot mode. And if a beast mode ends up being a better part of the beastformer, that means you really screwed up.
I have had a good laugh at a terrible figure before, but this just was so blatantly a bad idea from the get go to me and it feels dirty that it's one of the only characters we may never get another figure of again. This might be Scorponok's Last Hurrah.
Don't be sad. If you love the figure don't stop. Just cause I don't like it doesn't mean anything in the face of your enjoyment. People have different opinions, that's fine.

Kingdom Wave 3 has yet to show up in my area, so that kinda sucks, though from what I’ve seen and heard, it’s not that good… I collect WFC but I’m not sure that’s where I want my collection to go, my birthday is coming up on September 1st and I want to get some Transformers, but I’m not sure what I want. At that point you are spending the Money of the TE and you are still getting a worse product because it still won't pose as well, transform as well, and it has an even worse Altmode.
They used to. Not even that long ago. Siege was incredible, and a lot of Kingdom was amazing too, but then there's crap like this and I get whiplash from how hard the direction turned.
Honestly his claws are freakishly huge while his arms are skinny AF, I don't like the plain red eyes, they could have at least put a black slit to be a little show accurate, I want to know are the arms posable in scorpion mode, if not, then it was dead on arrival to begin with.
The arms are basically exactly as poseable in scorpion mode, it's just the ground is in their way for like half their range. And when you said red eyes, I thought you were talking about his robot mode there for a second.
I'm sorry about your cat. I hope they lived a long and happy life. The problem I find with the scorpion mode is the underside, the Camera just doesn't do justice to how big the robot sticking out of the bottom is.
You did the back a bit wrong, you’re supposed to (I think) get the longer legs out of the way, which allows you to compress the the tail much better and you rest the longer legs on the sides of the tail
Those really aren't in the way, if they were blocking the tail, they would just pop off, I'm not kidding when I say the joints fall off for like no reason.
I just got this figure cuz I didn't really have a choice with the creature collide pack and I'm really starting to feel like I wasted my money on that set. The gold bug is only good as a still display piece in vehicle mode, I have no idea how they managed to take cliffjumpers transformation and make it 10 times less satisfying. It's almost impressive
But about the scorponok that figure sucks really bad. It doesn't help that my tolerance is are about as bad as they could have been and they decided to make the figure like 90% clear plastic
Wow.... To be honest, my reaction to this is preaty much the complete reverse. Where I say this robot mode looks WORSE than in photos. The torso look's like a brick with arms and legs added to it. Speaking of legs, they look REALLY BAD. Small feet, even smaller legs, and quite THIC uper thiese. And as for the arms, the claws look goofy as hell. Not to mention the tail, with the fackt that is hollow doesn't help either. And as for the scorpion mode. I say this look really nice. Granted, I agree that if you look anywhere eals them it doesn't look as good. But I'm not gonna lie, this look really nice to me. And as for poseability, yea, it is a brick, but not every beast mode can be can poseabole. And as for the question of the video... What is your favorite "inseckt" transformer and why? Tv show or toy only characters count too.
Man it's hard to pick. All the Insecticons from Beast Wars were Awesome. I think number one has to be Waspinator... Because come on. It's Waspinator. But I love Inferno, and Tarantuals, and Blackarachnia. The underside of this things beast mode is what gets me. It's just so barely doing anything to transform.

Eh, I strangely like this figure, and I like his alt mode, I'm getting this after Rattrap. I think it's possible to fold the tail more in the robot mode, but I'm not 100% sure.
As long as you have been properly informed as to what to expect, if you still want it then feel free to get it.
Sorry for being two years too late, but if you angle the scorpion legs upward, it makes them visible in a diamond array, but surprisingly makes a cleaner back by leaving space for the tail to bunch up. further, if you angle the uppermost legs downward instead, you can further clean up the look.
I hope he starts uploading some videos upside down occasionally, just so it’s easier for us Australians to watch.

Fyi, an upgrade kits already out that extends his legs and pretty much fixes his proportions. His beast mode suffers from it but tbh it wasnt a great transformation anyway lol. Good review as always!

I take Serious issues with your rankings there My Guy, Waspinator needs to be a lot Higher, and Quickstrike needs to be a lot lower, but it is a VERY hard list to determine outside of that, because the Preds are a FANTASTIC faction of Memorable and Loveable Characters.

Tbh I really like this guy, more than I thought I would.
Yea, it's pretty clunky, but I really like his feel. I reminds me of Prime-era scout-class figures for some reason? Just really simple engineering with neither mode particularly working well but damn does it have some charm.
Tbh I really liked the scorpion alt mode, too. Can't say particularly why, but it's fun to me. Also, pro-tip to make the scorpion mode look a little cooler: instead of having the claws straight out in front of him, use the elbow joints on the arms and have them more spread out. Looks a bit more intimidating, at least.
Tbh I think we got a smidge spoiled with the Transform Element and now this fig doesn't have a chance, lol. Not unjustified in not having a chance, but still.
What gets me about this guy is just his undercarriage. I'd have given this guy a 5 were it not for him just resting on an Oval of Kibble.
But if you like it more than me, then don't stop liking it.
So I finally got this figure, and as much as I’ve based this figure since it’s reveal, I’ve found I actually really like him, he feels nice and sturdy, his transformation while fiddly, has some pretty clever parts, and the scorpion mode works well, I’m honestly surprised with how much I like this guy

@@ratchet2082 waspinator was in the toyline so he could have helped bulk up there army not to mention that the fosilizers would have made much more sense. And because the models for the animations were based directly of the toys it would have been really easy to use them rather than a character who has never been cloned.
@@koalatime6664 The Models for the Beasts characters are not based on the toys, and the show was made way before the toyline, the fossilizer wouldn't have male any sence either, they are not cybertronians.

Your other point is fare how ever, I don't think it would matter but it is still a valid point but the could have at least used seekers in place of scorpinok or swapped heads and colors to make him look different.

Wingfinger is the best Deluxe of the wave and he's Mediocre. I say go with the Galvatron before anything if you can. He is the best one I've had contact with from wave three so far.

I'm not personally gonna buy this unless there's a massive sale but otherwise no. Though I do have to say the upgrade kit which makes his legs longer in robot mode is honestly really good for the figure (robot mode wise).
Btw just got SS86 grimlock and it is god tier! Completely worth it!
Yeah it does make the Robot mode look better, but It makes the scorpion mode even sillier. I would be more Ok with this if it was less.

It looks the figures is trying to do three things at once:
The show design+The proportions of the original toy+The looks of a real scorpion = A weird looking and feeling figure.
The rest of the Kingdom line’s Beast Wars character’s usually stick with the show designs plus the realistic animal looks. Which makes the Scorponok figure even weirder.
Scorponok is Such an Outlier it's bizarre, just about the only one weirder is Rhinox.

Nice review, though I like my Scorponok figure well enough, came with a four pack from Big Bad Toystore (finally got my Wheeljack, my blue G2 Grimlock has a father! lol). Anyway, considering how scorponok is probably the least memorable/interesting Predacon from the entire Beast Wars cartoon, in your opinion, in an alternate universe where we actually got a GOOD Beast Wars reboot series, how do you think Scorponok should be handled? Should he be the same inept stooge he was from the original series or should he be made into a more serious character more worthy of the title of second of command of the Predacons? Or should he just be replaced entirely by someone more interesting/capable like Inferno or Sky-byte etc? Or even Quickstrike since he at least has more personality? I've often wondered this myself, whether he's a character worth reworking or better off replaced, or if making him into a more respectable subcommander would be missing the point of his character completely. Personally, if I was gonna keep him around, I'd try to strive for someone more akin to Lugnut, still a stooge but at least an capable & entertaining stooge rather than someone so bad at his job even Waspinator would take pity on him lol. Otherwise, make way for Inferno! THE ROYALTY'S CHOICE FOOLS! XD
P.S. I admit it COULD be interesting to see Scorponok struggle to escape from the shadow of Megatron's first second in command, Dinobot, only to find himself competing with Inferno, a bigger, badder, even MORE subservient minion for Megatron than himself. Kinda like how Sky-Byte was always trying to prove himself to Megatron/Gigatron anyway he could in Transformers Robots in Disguise/Car Robots.
I think he should be BW Megatron's Soundwave, maybe make him a little more competent, and idiot sycophant who cant fight ain't exactly a good villain.

You know what, I think you have the right idea.
This figure should have been a voyager with Rattrap filling the deluxe gap. First time transforming him I thought that the head was defective until my brother showed my that it was meant to be sticking out in the instructions.
Here are a few notes I have with the figure though:
- 1:49 if you angle the scorpion legs upward, it makes them visible in a diamond array, but surprisingly makes a cleaner back by leaving space for the tail to bunch up.
- 3:03 It seems like the cyberbee can't connect to optimus primal correctly if at all, which sucks.
- 6:11 the stinging action can be done, but it leaves a leg hanging out his rear end that is barely hidden in the photography. Just take the one leg out of the torso cavity and then use the hinge. That leg will take a ton of cheating to almost reintegrate into the beast mode again.
and if you angle the uppermost one down instead of up, the back is even cleaner.
I think they could have made a good deluxe out of him... They just Didn't.
While I understand your qualms with the figure his new stature has now imprinted this Danny Devito aura that does more for him to me then the best masterpiece rendition ever could

This is exactly what I feared in regards to beast wars figures in this line. It was a perfect opportunity for Hasbro to flex and one up 3rd party but dropped the ball on both price and quality.
Lets see kingdom optimus primal is a great figure both in Quality and fun factor cheetor is decent not the best but is not really Bad blackaracnia was pretty good beats wars megatron was good maybe some qc but pretty good Now dinobot was pretty decent the beast mode was prety extrange but is ok and the robót mode is good airazor is awesome good robot mode and good beats mode now in the wave 3 the beats figure not are really that good rhinox is ok and scorponok is meh now from what we see about wave 4 tigatron is pretty good and wasspinator pretty solid so i'm think that the mayority of beats figures were good except wave 3

Been on the hunt for him lately. Will it be worth it? No idea but he looks better than Rhinox that's for sure. I would change the way the underside transforms though, like more room for the leg to go in and be fully covered by the chest.
The Rhinox is absolutely worse. And yeah, the fact that the chest doesn't close all the way just offends me.
@@PerspectiveEnd I'll say this, at least they had the decency to put the worst part of the transformation on the underside where it can't really be seen on display. I'll wait til I find him to make a full judgement but I wouldn't call him bad just yet, the weakest of Kingdom so far maybe but rn I'd file him under IT'S WEIRD mainly due to his stocky proportions in robot mode. I think what offends me is we seem to have gotten fewer and fewer beast characters as the line went on. Not counting fossilizers we had Megatron, Primal, Cheetor, Rattrap, and Blackarachnia. That's five in wave one. Then wave two gave us Airazor and Dinobot. Now this gives us a Flat Stanley rhino and a very square Scorponok. They very well could've made room for Inferno Tarantulas and Terrorsaur but instead we get two ER reissues and some kinda panther thing that isn't Ravage, that mark my words will be a straight repaint of Cheetor with a different head. So I guess if anyone ever accuses me of being a Hasbro kiss up because of how I've praised them before, show them this comment lol.
It’s definitely my Hasbro Slut coming out, but I thought this figure was fun in general. Also I have a pretty good time with the transformation, that that could be from the fact that any transformation is more fun than the MPM Starscream lol.
It's really the altmode that kills this for me. It could be the Transformation is more fun than I'm giving it credit for, and the end result offends me so bad that the process getting there is tainted.

By the way my opinions on the kingdom waspinator has changed I don't have the figure yet but honestly looking at it again it doesn't look THAT bad anymore don't get me wrong it's still looks a *bit* ugly but at the same time it also looks pretty cool to me now especially since it looks like a hybrid between his original look and the animated version of him so I think I've changed my mind about that guy I'll check him out.

I was not looking forward to this thing, then I got it and the robot mode impressed me by not being as bad as I anticipated, then the Scorpion mode infuriated me.

I’m still trying to figure out what tactical advantage curved claws have over normal ones. It’s like using a knife or a pair of scissors that curves inward. What purpose does having it curve inward possess over having normal straight claws?
I think it stems from the fact that Scorpions have Hydrolic muscles and an Exoskeleton. Meaning their range of movement is probably limited, so the curved claws probably makes it easier for them to bring something to their face.
Yeah, I had pretty low hopes for this guy, I still feel like I should see the figure in person before I make my final decision, but while I have warmed up to him, I can’t call him more than average, if not slightly below average

I feel like the fossilizer characters would be better suited for army building given their intended purpose as armor & weapon upgrades for other maximals and predacons, plus the Ray Harryhausen style appeal of a skeleton army.

I don't think that's the case. I doubt that was a Mandate of Hasbro, more like the Animators got Lazy and just copy pasted him because they didn't want to make models for other characters. Otherwise they would have made Waspinator.

Anyway, given my utter failure to communicate, now is an odd time to acknowledge it. But yes, I am a writer… have been for a few years now. Quit the day job and everything.
As for the Christmas movie; it’s my White Whale. That means it’s my dream project. That means it doesn’t exist. Yet. It’s still locked away in the deep recesses of my mind. And the folder labeled “feature treatments” on my desktop. I have like, a 35 page document, but the nature of animated filmmaking is such that writing it on spec is a bad bet, even by spec screenplay standards. That means I have better odds of getting struck by a shark or bitten by lightning than I do of selling a spec script to a studio’s animation division.
But then… all of that is part of what makes it my White Whale. It’s a big, splashy, 4-quad blockbuster waiting to happen. The most commercial concept I have ever concocted. And o can barely even describe it out loud without bursting out into tears. It’s THE story I was born to tell. And it’s the one movie that I promise I will either make, or die trying to make.
But like, it’s a stop-motion animated family film that would require studio backing and tens of millions of dollars to produce, plus hundreds of animators working in concert over a period of years. And this kinda thing is only done on sound stages, a thing that exists exclusively in major metropolitan areas. So, my pledge is solemn, but… it’s unlikely that I would _die trying._ Not exactly talking about fitzcarraldo here.

In his scorpion mode he looks like a brick.

You know, I've heard horror stories and complains about his figure for years, but never fully understood where they came from until I got a heavily discounted one to complete my kingdom Beast Wars collection, and after that, everything became clear. The proportions, size, the way it handles kibble, transformation, loose joints, all of this is as messy and bad as you and others pointed out. But honestly, I'm more amused at how bad this figure is rather than mad. Like, I can feel and see that it wanted to be a good Scorponok figure so bad, but failed so miserably at it that I find it humerous. And for me the best part of this figure is the beast mode, which I mostly display it in, and I find more enjoyable than the robot mode. And if a beast mode ends up being a better part of the beastformer, that means you really screwed up.
I have had a good laugh at a terrible figure before, but this just was so blatantly a bad idea from the get go to me and it feels dirty that it's one of the only characters we may never get another figure of again.
This might be Scorponok's Last Hurrah.
So weird thing about origins bumblebee, it doesn't have a plastic screen. So you can touch the bee which is weird

The Original toy is a bit out dated, but even still that would have been preferable to this.
That makes me sad I really love this figure.
Don't be sad. If you love the figure don't stop. Just cause I don't like it doesn't mean anything in the face of your enjoyment. People have different opinions, that's fine.

Got him tonight! Man the insect legs suck. And good lord the head is crap. But I do love the claws. Can’t decide how I feel about the transformation. It’s unique, but it also feels _unfinished_ and I don’t ever feel that way. I generally accept toys as they are but I can’t do that this time. But good lord does he look stupid compared to the TE version.

Kingdom Wave 3 has yet to show up in my area, so that kinda sucks, though from what I’ve seen and heard, it’s not that good… I collect WFC but I’m not sure that’s where I want my collection to go, my birthday is coming up on September 1st and I want to get some Transformers, but I’m not sure what I want. Also, there’s a reason I haven’t been commenting as much as I used to, while I don’t mind commenting, I prefer more direct means of communication like Discord and stuff, thought I’d at least let you know Perspective

As long as you are informed, and still want it I have no issues.
If you think its worth it there is an upgrade kit to extend the legs and close up the scorpion mode more.
At that point you are spending the Money of the TE and you are still getting a worse product because it still won't pose as well, transform as well, and it has an even worse Altmode.

They used to. Not even that long ago. Siege was incredible, and a lot of Kingdom was amazing too, but then there's crap like this and I get whiplash from how hard the direction turned.
Honestly his claws are freakishly huge while his arms are skinny AF, I don't like the plain red eyes, they could have at least put a black slit to be a little show accurate, I want to know are the arms posable in scorpion mode, if not, then it was dead on arrival to begin with.
The arms are basically exactly as poseable in scorpion mode, it's just the ground is in their way for like half their range.
And when you said red eyes, I thought you were talking about his robot mode there for a second.
Contrary to popular opinion, I think he looks great and I like his beast mode

The problem I find with the scorpion mode is the underside, the Camera just doesn't do justice to how big the robot sticking out of the bottom is.

You did the back a bit wrong, you’re supposed to (I think) get the longer legs out of the way, which allows you to compress the the tail much better and you rest the longer legs on the sides of the tail
Those really aren't in the way, if they were blocking the tail, they would just pop off, I'm not kidding when I say the joints fall off for like no reason.
The backpack is definitely terrible, but passable. The beast mode is terrible, mainly because of the kibble and realistic design.
The camera can't even do justice to the underside kibble, it looks so much worse in person.
I just got this figure cuz I didn't really have a choice with the creature collide pack and I'm really starting to feel like I wasted my money on that set. The gold bug is only good as a still display piece in vehicle mode, I have no idea how they managed to take cliffjumpers transformation and make it 10 times less satisfying. It's almost impressive
But about the scorponok that figure sucks really bad. It doesn't help that my tolerance is are about as bad as they could have been and they decided to make the figure like 90% clear plastic
Call me crazy but i think with a fare amount of retooling the could be a decent teranchilis.
I'm a call you crazy, how would this fit Tarantuals? The amount of retooling required seems prohibitive. Might as well just start fresh.
Wow.... To be honest, my reaction to this is preaty much the complete reverse.
Where I say this robot mode looks WORSE than in photos.
The torso look's like a brick with arms and legs added to it.
Speaking of legs, they look REALLY BAD. Small feet, even smaller legs, and quite THIC uper thiese.
And as for the arms, the claws look goofy as hell.
Not to mention the tail, with the fackt that is hollow doesn't help either.
And as for the scorpion mode. I say this look really nice. Granted, I agree that if you look anywhere eals them it doesn't look as good. But I'm not gonna lie, this look really nice to me.
And as for poseability, yea, it is a brick, but not every beast mode can be can poseabole.

The underside of this things beast mode is what gets me. It's just so barely doing anything to transform.
