What made me hate the seen was when Primal said you'd make a terrible Maximal like WTF Primal had mad respect for Dinobot and they make Primal say something like that really shits on him as a character as well as Dinobot who had just as much respect for Primal as he him
I know what this show is trying to do but to be honest, it doesnt work. And plus, when Optimus Primal and Dinobot exchange dialogue in his death scene, its not funny or impactful. This version of Dinobot only gets 3 episodes and that's it. What makes Dinobot death so sad and impactful in the OG Beast Wars because we know why he joined the Maximals, he questioned whether he is on a right path or not, and he is an excellent fighter and swordsman. In Code of Hero, he fights the entire Predacon team with different weapons and strategys from his sword, to Inferno gun, to his sheild, to shoving Waspinator into Rampage tank mode, and finally he only beats Megatron with nothing but a club made from a wooden stick and a rock. And when he destroyed the Disk and give out that final scream, that is very impactful and he won. He saved the valley and destroyed the Golden Disk. And when he gave his final speech at the end, there is zero comedic dialogue and none of those MCU cliche jokey jokes dialogue. And when he said the rest is silence and he goes offline, it was a bittersweet ending of the character and one of the saddest death in the entire Transformers franchise. That's why the OG Dinobot story arc and episode of Code Of Hero works because it takes time and took them 2 seasons not completly rushed after 2 episodes and decide copy and paste an amazing episode. Guys just watched the original Beast Wars series.
The only excuse for people that defend this would say, "It's a different adaptation" or "Maybe this show isn't for you" we don't mind change and all but if your taking stuff from the source material like characters or plot wise, at least put some respect it so both new and old fans can enjoy.
Actually my problems with this is that they don't go all the way for it. I mean, if they want to make it a different version, then make it a different version. Dont put Blackarachnia as a treacherous bot, don't imply that Air razor and Tigatron have a relationship, don't make Megatron say "Yeess", because if you are not going to commit to the original nor commit to your own interpretation, then you better don't do it at all. Or you go all the way, or don't
@@suanfitrioneljack27 That has to be a reason why, because they have the source material right there, why not use that or take inspiration and put it in the show.
It's never a great idea for a cartoon / movie studio (or anyone in general) to put down the older fans of a franchise while attempting to aquire new fans, simply because those 'salty old farts' are still the bread & butter that a franchise needs to stay alive.
I think Dinobot’s popularity is kinda his downfall cuz I think writers are somewhat afraid to include him due to his memorability and the fact it may be almost impossible to make a incarnation of Dinobot that’ll be as good to the original.
Not to mention he shocks airrazor after yelling at Megatron for shocking her. He does it when no one is around and was not ordered to do so. Yet he states just following orders. This contradicts the character in his first episode.
The voice selections for the Beast Wars characters were terrible honestly. Predacon Megatron was the worst. Hated his voice and character. Made him out to be a damn wimp honestly. Also wasn't a fan of Primal's voice initially either. Neither of those guy's voices exuded leadership. Dinobot and Tigatron's voices should've been switched. I like to believe they sent the voice actors the wrong lines and just rolled with it. It was great to see the BW cast in the show but wished they would've been portrayed better.
They should have had him do permanent damage 2 Megatron like if he stabbed him in the eye with the sword and it got scarred it would look hella cool. Also if he pulled out the shield and used it like how he could fly with it in the show. And with his voice it would have been cool if he said something cocky about how he would have won leadership of the maximals and then just repeated the lines from the original Dinobot dying
With the original series you got to see how he grew and you got to love him and care for him, when a series makes you see the growth within a character it makes it far more satisfying to see them win but sad when they die because you grew to really know and love them. What they did was make him wasted potential like everyone else in the show except for perhaps the mad lad Cog- FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
They forgot that dinobot was also violent and brutal, that mix with his sense of honor made him deeper as a character because he was more of antihero than any of the other Maximals. He did not deserted the predacons because of guilt or because he felt that they were evil, he did because he thought Megatron had failed. I hate saying that characters are complex because it makes me feel pretentious , but Dinobot was a complex character, probably the most complex in all the franchaise. Kingdom Dinobot was just the generic tormented guy who feels is in the wrong side, something that the original Dinobot never felt until the last episodes. The phrase "he lived like a warrior and died a hero" encapsulates Dinobots arch perfectly because he did not became a hero until de very end.
I will say a positive note, I really liked the relationship between Elita 1 and Optimus, animated is still better though, but they did a lot of things right in my opinion. Also, liked bumblebee, it was jarring when Optimus out of nowhere said Bumblebee would have to lead the autobots if something were to happen to him, but other than that Bumblebee was good. But the problems, the Action fights and overall animation is bad. The best fight in the show doesn’t go near anything in transformers prime, and voice acting is lackluster… Overall I blame Netflix for screwing this show up, I don’t think it’s on writers at all.
I have 2 points on Dinobot 1: Jetfire It's really hard for Dinobot to stand out at all in Kingdom, partly due to Jetfire. Jetfire has the EXACT same arc as Dinobot. Jetfire was the leader of the Seekers, an elite of the Decepticons, had an expertise with a sword, had HONOR problems, and ultimately defected to join the Autobots as he couldn't abide with genocide.... but that hints at all of Dinobot's big notes. Dinobot was one of B Megatrons Lieutenants, favored the sword, all about honor, defected to the maximals, and yes, in his final moments, decided that he would fight to the death to prevent the genocide of the human race. To make it worse, Jetfire, in his short time, we see all the major hits, and Dinobot we dont, because lets face it....it would feel like repetition. Their arcs are far too similar, and they already giving Jetfire so many standout moments. I honestly think I'm gonna remember this Jetfire over any previous editions....but thats not good...because its all of Dinobots big moments as well. Jetfire's existence just makes Dinobot's story seem rehashed, and thats not fair. 2: Timeline of Beast Wars introduction Apparently the beast wars have been raging for a long time according to Primal, many have died, but Dinobot joined the maximals in the beginning! but here...not so much. Different reality, thats fine, retelling the story....but they could have fixed a lot of story beats if Dinobot was already there, such as explaining the golden disc to the Autobots, while Megatron and Megatron do. They could have fixed so much of Dinobot death, and in turn made the beast wars characters introduction better with one change. from the get go, have Dinobot already with the maximals. Not joining in the beginning of Kingdom, have him ALREADY be a maximal. 1 problem I have with Kingdom is this kind of "disconnect" of the original. It's said that they have been fighting for cycles (years?). Ok, but than by that logic, Dinobot would have joined them. but this is a different beast wars. Primal even said they had 200 comrades, and...they are all thats left. From that we can understand why Primal is more aggressive, he's lost so much more, and they are war survivors. If Dinobot had already been with them, not only would they have a stronger connection to his death as every soldier is precious at the end of the war, but would also explain why dino ghost would have a connection with primal, and have a bigger impact of their forces. In the scenario they gave us... Dinobot and Primal BARELY know each other, so why would dino ghost be with him. Dinobots death, I felt was strongest in the original since "He lived a warrior, and he died a Hero" but in Kingdom, its gonna be what? "He lived as a rebel, and died a defector?" Even Rattraps line of calling him Chopperface. Since they were never allies, thats not an endearing nickname among friends on his deathbed, its just an insult. edit: Final note For a show which is literally all about hitting the greatest moments from older shows as fan service, Kingdom is the one which suffers the most. Because its not about the beast wars, It's trying to wrap up the story, but they have to throw beast wars in there, so it was always going to be flawed when your trying to compact ALL of beast wars as an addon to the main story. But a way to keep fan service intact while also trying to brush it aside, is to simply "IMPLY" the events. They clearly establish that its been cycles and over 200 crew have been lost, This gave them an "out" to imply many events of beast wars happening, and didn't have to focus on "recreating" or "Fabricating" those events again. Since they couldn't focus on those events happening anyway, simply imply them happening while moving forward. That way they could have had Dinobot, already a Maximal, already having a relationship, and allowing for his death and afterlife have more impact or relevance. Newcomers to the beast wars, can at least get the gist of it, and older fans can take the joy of knowing the key points. own personal hope: I'm still hoping they tie some sort of connection between the Quintesson's and the Vok. Admit it...there is enough of an connection. Vok are floating heads with tentacles with powerful technology and able to create transformers....quintessons are Multiple floating heads with tentacles with sometimes their history about making transformers? it adds up enough for me
This show was ok - but that was it. Just didn’t grip in the same way as G1 or Beast Wars. Having said that, I still quite liked Dinobot - but I still remember his original death at the time aaa WOW
I Definitely do agree That Transformers War For Cybertron Trilogy Dinobot’s Death may not have been Beast Wars Code of Heroes Death. But It’s Definitely Heartbreaking just like his Beast Wars Counterpart. War For Cybertron Trilogy truly was a good person who worked with The Wrong Side but In The End he finally revealed his True Colors A Warrior with a Code Of Honor. Beast Wars Dinobot Destroyed The Golden Disk and The Human Race from being Erased from Extinction and War For Cybertron Trilogy Dinobot managed to steal The Matrix from Megatron and returned it to Optimus Prime. Plus Krizz Kaliko (War For Cybertron Trilogy Dinobot) was definitely an Incredible Successor for Scott McNeil (Beast Wars Dinobot).

personally dinobot was handled well given he only had 3 episodes it wasnt terrible like beast wars version of megatron though even if he survived he would only have 6 episodes to attempt to flesh out, which still making the comparison to beast wars where he had a lot more time on him, of course it will be disapointing (and lets be honest, they had 3 seasons to flesh out optimus out but they barely understood how to develop him and they couldnt execute that properly) inmy opinion there was too much crammed into the season for dinobots death to be upsetting, you had the predacons and maximals to introduce and develop, including with the existing characters already, AND introduce the threat of unicron, galvatron and nemesis prime, all that in 6 episodes
I actually DID cry a bit when they killed off Dinobot, but for the singular reason that it did evoke Code of Hero (there's no "a" in the title. 😉) and because I am such a huge fan of the character and they made me watch him die, AGAIN! I weep like a child every time I watch Code of Hero (and the next episode Transmutate; why did they put them both together? 😭), it hurts every time, so yes, I did shed a tear for this incarnation, because even if he doesn't have the same voice or the same personality he does have the same face and the same sense of honour, albeit somewhat watered down. And for all the utter tripe that this trilogy has thrown out, it's sad to say that this is one of only a handful of characters that has been even remotely likened to their original selves! It's hard to just chuck that nostalgia away. On the flip side, if I never have to listen to, or see that arse kissing version of Megatron again it'll be too soon! I would have cheered at his dismemberment and ultimate death!
Black Arachnia was the only character that seemed like she was plucked right from OG Beast Wars. Voice and all. Everyone else was off besides maybe Rat Trap. Voices aside even their characters weren't right.
Netflix keeps making disappointing reboots to our childhoods they spat in the faces of all the beastwara fans and pretty much focused on the g1 transformers still . The voices are terrible how hard is it to get david kaye he does youtube interviews dinobot sounded to human and tigatron and rat trap all trash voices. Tigatron espeacially diservice
There are so many bad things I could say about WFC but the worst thing was the dialogue. I mean, each character seems to be having asthma by speaking in syllables and sometimes they speak out of context like when Dinobot asks Primal if he can be a Maximal if he joined their ranks which Primal agreed...but the latter added that Dinobot may have been an awful Maximal.
i thought this new Dinobot had a few good things to go for him... but sadly his death didnt hit home like the original. too bad, it was a cool idea of him fighting off both Megatrons to return the Matrix to Prime. just felt too rushed.
I swear Optimus Primal said something about there being about 300 Maximals in his original crew... Thus, wouldnt that make Dinobot one of the Predacons that helped to eliminate 98% of them? So why would Optimus Primal even acknowledge the joke about Dinobot being a Maximal during that death scene? Did Primal suddenly forgive Dinobot because he gave Optimus Prime (his new ally for a day mind you) the Matrix? That scene made me upset.. it lacked any conviction..
I have to disagree, this version of Dinobot (minus the voice) is still true to the Original, a Warrior with a code of honnor, Always willing to do the right thing, in Beast Wars, he was never a Maximal or a Predacon, he stayed with the maximals but he was always kinda was his own bot. Kingdom captured this very well, Dinobot has to be the Best character out of the series with Jetfire and Megatron. He had a good background, and his death is justified, episode 3 of Kingdom was clearly inspired by code of hero, Dinobot's speech to Airazor was extremly the same as in COH, this was a Nice throw-back. Overall, he sacrified his life for the better good, his death is clearly the best out of the trilogy.
If you look at the each season of WFC as a movie then its a good series. Now you Beast Wunners are JUST like us Gee Wunners, NOTHING BEATS THE ORIGINAL SHOW VERSIONS! WELCOME TO OUR WORLD BEAST WAR FANS!👍 UNICRON TRILOGY FANS ARE NEXT!👍
I just hope Dinobot gets killed off in the IDW comics. I like to see what would happen if he returned to Cybertron as a Maximal. I just hope his og death doesn't become a trope like Optimus p Prime's.
Netflix Transformers has been a disappointment for the most part. It's got good ideas and things to explore like Megatron's character...but the execution falls kinda flat, it would've benefited if the series was a longer run. Also if they didn't just KILL OFF THE CREW STILL ON CYBERTRON!
It was alright, the story felt rushed and acting was alright but BW Megatron was just trashed and the whole dinobot thing whilst it was great it's just his arc in the of bw but smaller and condensed. It was an alright end to an ok series and I give it a 6/10. Hopefully they improve in the sequel but I doubt it very much.
Looks like the characters we love, but they don’t sound or act like the characters we love. Voice acting was eh… I hated how BW Megatron was portrayed, and it’s out of his character to do something like that.
I've seen the serie in VO but my brother follows it in French. In the translation, they have changed the "Terrible" Maximal by "Excellent" one. Come on it's even worse.
I personally like Dinobot’s death in this series. Yeah sure it definitely doesn’t rival the original one. I think it’s pretty good anyway and would probably work better if the series was longer and had more buildup. But I understand your criticism and I totally agree that Megatron was BUTCHERED.
I don't have problems with this . If they wanted to do his sacrifice so much , this is the best they could have done in a 6 episode season , and he got the matrix wich is an important plot point .
@2:50. YOu're right.. we don't want the same story beats.. but there's no point to bringing a character back if its just going to be a skinsuit... Dinobot has to be dinobot, but he can be dinobot in different situations. This was just a skinsuit that stole glory from the original.

I just facepalm of Dinobot's death because doesn't impact nor it made me care. But not just his death, but his character arc was completely rush.
Yup
I disagree. But I respect your opinion. Except the rushed part, I agree on that
@@titanuskolasaurus2050 👍
Everything in this trilogy was rush and bad written
@@OfGhostGon Indeed. I'm just kinda glad the trilogy is finished.
One good thing about Dinobot is that he and Monke have good chemistry.
Le monke
Monke bot
i do love when dino bot sais *Remember why the matrix chose you* to optimus
I think Dinobot’s popularity is kinda his downfall cuz I think writers are somewhat afraid to include him due to his memorability and the fact it may be almost impossible to make a incarnation of Dinobot that’ll be as good to the original.
Dinobot is the new Cliffjumper.
Dinobot died saving the prehumans like a true hero but THIS made him die like a wreak zero.
The scene was good. But granted, Dinobot's death in Beast Wars had more impact.
Would have been better for dinobot and tigratron to switch voices.
With the original series you got to see how he grew and you got to love him and care for him, when a series makes you see the growth within a character it makes it far more satisfying to see them win but sad when they die because you grew to really know and love them.
What they did was make him wasted potential like everyone else in the show except for perhaps the mad lad Cog-
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
Lmao, I’m still pissed there isn’t a single conversation between the two Optimus’s about why they look like the same and share the name.
I feel like since Cyberverse, Hasbro has no fucking idea what they're doing with Transformers anymore
Dinobot is a warrior and a maximal for the family of the maximal
Ohhh man, the transformers armada game music in the background is really hitting the feels.
His death was so forced unnecessary and rushed that it made me want to facepalm.
Agreed
The show in general is rushed
Same here. Though, the trilogy will be forgotten and Beast Wars fan won't talk about the characters unless it's negative.
The best fight in the show doesn’t go near anything in transformers prime, and voice acting is lackluster…
Overall I blame Netflix for screwing this show up, I don’t think it’s on writers at all.
@@arctic2786 yup
I have 2 points on Dinobot
1: Jetfire
It's really hard for Dinobot to stand out at all in Kingdom, partly due to Jetfire.
2: Timeline of Beast Wars introduction
Apparently the beast wars have been raging for a long time according to Primal, many have died, but Dinobot joined the maximals in the beginning! but here...not so much.
Since they were never allies, thats not an endearing nickname among friends on his deathbed, its just an insult.
edit: Final note
For a show which is literally all about hitting the greatest moments from older shows as fan service, Kingdom is the one which suffers the most.
Newcomers to the beast wars, can at least get the gist of it, and older fans can take the joy of knowing the key points.
own personal hope:
I'm still hoping they tie some sort of connection between the Quintesson's and the Vok.
Admit it...there is enough of an connection.
Vok are floating heads with tentacles with powerful technology and able to create transformers....quintessons are Multiple floating heads with tentacles with sometimes their history about making transformers? it adds up enough for me
Airraizor: Let's do this!
Dinobot: No, I'm not waiting for you because I'm scripted to die and if you're with me that probably won't happen.
This show was ok - but that was it. Just didn’t grip in the same way as G1 or Beast Wars. Having said that, I still quite liked Dinobot - but I still remember his original death at the time aaa WOW
Glad to hear your meeting the dude that i met last december. He seen my face and collaborator. Cool guys
I would love for dinobot to not die and remain with his new alliance...but oh well 😔 death before dishonor

Plus Krizz Kaliko (War For Cybertron Trilogy Dinobot) was definitely an Incredible Successor for Scott McNeil (Beast Wars Dinobot).
is only 6 episodes I guess that's what they could afford or what Netflix give them for budget, I really liked it, I just wish it was a lot more episodes in there..
I can confirm me and my sister cried at his death scene
In the original Beast wars serial?
@@illyanesterenko8930 my sister didn't watch the original. I did I cried. So since this series was new me and her watched it.
@@Risk658 well... Only want to say... I recommend watch your sister the original serial, she gonna love everything about this serial - voice actors, characters, plot, everything about this serial, I think you know what I say
@@illyanesterenko8930 believe me I've tried for the past 4 years. She says the animation sucks. But her favorite character from the original show is cheetor and dinobot. So at least she knows those characters.
The writers should retire
personally dinobot was handled well given he only had 3 episodes
it wasnt terrible like beast wars version of megatron
though even if he survived he would only have 6 episodes to attempt to flesh out, which still making the comparison to beast wars where he had a lot more time on him, of course it will be disapointing (and lets be honest, they had 3 seasons to flesh out optimus out but they barely understood how to develop him and they couldnt execute that properly)
inmy opinion there was too much crammed into the season for dinobots death to be upsetting, you had the predacons and maximals to introduce and develop, including with the existing characters already, AND introduce the threat of unicron, galvatron and nemesis prime, all that in 6 episodes
I agree with this video, Comedian Cam!
I never thought Dinobot was so important. Is the voice actor black for Dinobot? Sounded like it
Can we all stop calling this a trilogy? You can't split a single story into pieces and then call each chapter it's own series.
Tigatron espeacially diservice
сцена из 3 сезона WFC была ужасной, она не вызвала у меня никаких чувств, а сцена из BW заставила меня плакать, она была такой душевной 😭
Was just nice to see dinobot beat up soundwave and G1 megatron though but yh I agree
Hopefully Rise of the Beasts is far better.
I honestly thought it was wasted but kinda worked for what it was
Comodin Cam do you still have transformers fall of cybertron on ps4?
How to summarize the 13 minute video. Because he wasn't on screen that much and he had no chemistry with the Maximals. Done.
Idc what u guys say, but I liked it. I wasn't really lucky, and grew up never watching the original series so this was the closest I could get to it.
I just hope Dinobot gets killed off in the IDW comics. I like to see what would happen if he returned to Cybertron as a Maximal. I just hope his og death doesn't become a trope like Optimus p
Prime's.
Not again Dinobot
What did you expected??? 30 episodes to introduce you dinobot in a netflix series??? Out of place...
Rooster Teeth is not known for story telling
The comic is OK, dinobot tore off waspinators arm 🙂but was injured and now has a walking stick 🙄🙄

Haha I was surprised when he died in ep3 cuz I was like...okkkkkk..... his death in this was unnecessary
Ok I've heard enough criticism of this show and this scene, this was beautiful.
BRUH
Yeah this scene was good ,not as good as original beast war scene
The scene was good, but it held no weight behind it. Had the series been longer and we saw more of the characters being bounced off of each other.
I personally like Dinobot’s death in this series. Yeah sure it definitely doesn’t rival the original one. I think it’s pretty good anyway and would probably work better if the series was longer and had more buildup. But I understand your criticism and I totally agree that Megatron was BUTCHERED.
I think Dinobot and tigatron voice actors got switched.
YES
It was pretty jarring to hear that.
Maybe the studio made a mistake or something lol
Nitpit time, the title of the Beast Wars episode is Code of Hero, not Code of a Hero.
It’s Nitpick not nitpit
Original dinobot was epic.... we r introduced to this version and hes dead 2 episodes later
I actually enjoyed the whole series. The voices didn't bug me. The only thing I thought was that it should be a longer series.
I thought it was horribly boring
All of WFC trilogy in Netflix are trash. Because DeSanto wanted this show to be sucks.
Let's hope now that the trilogy is over that they never hire these idiot writers again.
I don't have problems with this .
If they wanted to do his sacrifice so much , this is the best they could have done in a 6 episode season , and he got the matrix wich is an important plot point .
His death is so slow and boring to watch
The whole series sucks. I can't se a true TF fan considering this as cannon.
Obviously nowhere near as good as the original, but the visual of dinobot dying while giving the matrix to optimus is really great.
@2:50. YOu're right.. we don't want the same story beats.. but there's no point to bringing a character back if its just going to be a skinsuit... Dinobot has to be dinobot, but he can be dinobot in different situations. This was just a skinsuit that stole glory from the original.
