- Since people asked for it. Here is another MechWarrior Soundtrack. This time recomposing material from tracks Silent Thunder, Rust Heart. Enjoy.
"MechWarrior 2: 31st Century Combat" (1995) from Activision and FASA Corporation. It was composed by Gregory Alper and Jeehun Hwang.

Can you ask him to draw StormCrow? haha. I couldn't find a decent rendering of one and I'm looking for album artwork.

I would, but unfortunately he's kind of disappeared into the professional world. He does official BT art now and was the art guy for Mechwarrior Online so he doesn't actually have the time to do personal work beyond really quick doodles anymore, and he's really hard to get a hold of.
You should be composing the music for MWO...
yes. whatever the new game is, MW5 or a remake of MW1, you should be the composer.. this would make it awesome. old MW music modernised ^.^

no no no no. not that. there was a trailer for a new mechwarrior game that WASNT MWO. MWO is fun if you want your WoT/ CoD fix, but we can all agree its shit
The Mechwarrior Reboot trailer several years ago was PGI, PGI couldn't get anyone to invest in it so they resorted to going the F2P route with MWO. It looks totally different because they switched game engines in the process. MWO isn't shit, it's just been a painfully slow development process.
Scarcer +Mathew Mclean it was more then just that. It was the fact they suffered heavy lawsuits from using the Warhammer in the trailer and such, an unseen mech.
They lost a lot of money and had to turn there scraps of resources into the F2P MMO game.
Personally I like MW: O quite a bit, It is different from the other MW games but in a good way, the multiplayer aspect isn't BS, you do not have 100% teams of people with 0 armour, jumpjets, long range clan weapons like ER large lasers or ER PPC's and ECM.
You got a game where being a light mech is valid or any weight class, where you can be a spotter , brawler, juggernaut, skirmisher, harasser, sniper, LRM boat, etc.
It is different but hey! it's more lore friendly. The cockpit items, the heros, the 'extra' hardpoints on some mech variants (Highlander 732, Catapult A1, etc) tie into the lore (not all, but quite a few).
If MW: O is comparable to a game of the vehicle First/ Third person shooter realm, it's not a World of Tanks, it's a War Thunder.
MW5 is not going to happen, MW1 remake isn't going to happen. (I would like to see a remake of the MW2's though =O )

Stormcrow was definitely my go-to medium weight mech.
I really loved the ryoken(stormcrow) as a mech: do you agree?
I like it too, but the pictured 'mech looks more like a Kit Fox or a Viper.

This and "Timberwolf" are both awesome tracks. I hope you'll do some MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries as well. Those tracks need some lovin'.

Listening to your awesome tunes and the original Mechwarrior 2 soundtrack while playing Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries, which has a nice soundtrack as well, but the menu loop drove me nuts and you can only turn off music entirely...

Yeah, where are all the downloads for the tracks labelled as "MechWarrior 2 Soundtrack 2013 Remake"? I can't find any of them. I even paid for the album linked in the video description of one, and none of these tracks are on that album. I feel like asking for a refund. Great music, though.

Bear in mind that the titles on TH-cam are all changed, but the tracks are the same, except that Stormcrow isn't on bandcamp.
....that's a Kit Fox tho...

Sad to see so many young guys buy into the dull MW hype instead of playing the original Battletech and get socialized.
It's not exactly a wide spread gaming phenomena like say... Magic. So it's a lot easier to get into Mechwarrior than Battletech like those of us who are lucky enough to have a large group of friends/area to play it.
lolatkynval MegaMek! But even then, you don't need to buy the expensive minis, just the $30 starter set with 60 or so minis, then you can do paper cutouts of the rest of anything you don't have, and want.
I got battletech set... been looking for 1 guy to play with for over 10 years. Still no sign of any battletech players around... I once had an very rule modifide casual game with a guy who used his summerset striker toys as mech pieces =l

R4V3-0N Make friends, invite them for a battletech game and get rid of those who think its too complicated. You wont have fun with such people anyway
Blitzpunk de I got quite a bit off friends. Especially in Mechwarrior series and outside of gaming in general.
It's just Battletech tabletop or trading cards is basicly extinct here. Never was big here and not now either.
No one I know thinks it's too complicated because they never played or heard of it before. Even I do not know the rules to well because an opportunity never araised to put it in practice.
