    I'm a 62 year old ex serviceman and police officer and I'm sitting here watching this video with tears in my eyes. That was my Britain and my youth in that video. Thank God I grew up in the 60s and 70s when England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 belonged to the English and the world was a great place to be. Goodbye Wilko RIP guitar man you truly were a legend. 🙏

      Agreed. Was lucky enough to see Wilko three times - once with the original Dr. Feelgood, once with another of his own bands (in about 1990) and then with this lineup minus Roger Daltrey. It took this video (and the album) to finally get Wilko some recognition Stateside. Should have happened sooner. RIP Wilko.

    Excellent.That was the Wilko just after his beating cancer and Daltrey enjoying his 107th year in the music business.I loved that feelgood sound and the flashbacks to their peak( saw them loads of times- excellent). Roger's 'Brilleaux growl' is there too.Long live pub rock and the doctors..

      Agreed - watching it makes you appreciate the dizzying array of heritage and talent that went into this collaboration: one of the greatest British rock vocalists, one of the most under-appreciated British Rhythm guitarists (outside the UK) a fantastic bass player (formerly of the Blockheads) and the son of Yes's Steve Howe on drums. The other period clips of both Roger and Wilko on their way up (and the rest) are beyond wonderful

    Love this. It’s Wilko and Roger but it also sounds like The Who in their Maximum RnB period, which was never properly recorded. What a treat and what a pair of legends.

    Great respect to Wilko for several reasons. Fought back from cancer, great guitar player and song writer, always gracious enough to mention Mick Green (The pirates) as a big influence, and of course inspired many people to pick up a Fender Telecaster (me included!). Also by all accounts a very nice guy. RIP Wilko.

      Hope you got to see him. I was at St. Luke's Glasgow 18th Feb, but Manchester next day was cancelled due to ill health. Was told he wasn't very well at King Kings Manchester gig on the 17th!

      @@noelmajers6369 - I saw an interview with Roger Daltry where he described this band as 'Just two guys having fun' - it annoyed the hell out of me, there are bloody four of them! I suppose that 'the rhythm section don't count' attitude is why Daltry and Townsend were happy to tour as the who long after Moon and The Ox had died. I always though Robert Plant had got it right.

    I just found out about these guys after spending my 76 year life as a blues fanatic...then I read the Wilko bio...I really enjoy listening to all the incarnations of the band members and all their associates like Ian Dury who blows my sox almost completely off.

    Those that know know. and Wilko is all you need to know! It's all "good in tha hood" with this guy.
    Wilko at Band On The Wall in Manchester 28 years ago is likely the best gig I've ever seen. For a three piece band they had such a massive sound. He jumped around like a robot gone mental and I'll never forget it.

    this is a fucking amazing LP, some of the best work either of these legends have ever done. so happy that wilko has kicked that shit's ass, and i'm hoping there's a volume 2 one of these days. killer LP, proof that you don't need 2 years, a few million dollars, and a bunch of rock-star bullshit to get it done. these guys recorded a better album in a week than most guys half their age can do in YEARS.

    What a meld of old and new. I'm the same age as these guys. I remember listening to Dr Feelgood and Wilko years ago and now I'm hearing them again, better than ever. They've aged just like good wine.

    Excellent video compilation of the guys NOW and THEN!! Filming Wilko standing on the beach at the end..... at Canvey Island was a lovely touch, reminding us of the Album photos from the Dr. feelgood albums too..... class.

    I wasn't sober mind.

    I'm far from a The who fan , and a big Dr Feelgood fan, but Roger Daltreys voice is so powefull that it, almost, make me feel like the late Lee Brilleaux (R.I.P.) is back! :-)

    Absolutely love this track. Wilko was so outstanding with Dr Feelgood and is sadly missed. Roger is an icon I remember from a brilliant gig at Charlton Athletic FC in the 70’s and the fact they got together for this track gives me so many great memories. Thank you.

    Been playing forever and never heard of Wilko until recently. I just love the playing. It's enough. But with that comes the bonus of the man doing his thing. Rock guitar showman beyond compare because he cut his own territory. That's how the smart ones do it. Wilko is iconic because he made himself that way. It's a beautiful thing to absorb.

      @@jamessim1858 Not in the UK. They never really caught on in the US. Damn shame. Although I listened to music from all over I was also immersed in the US music scene. Kind of went from rock to metal to punk. Playing guitar all the time. Looking for gigs, women and trouble.

    Saw Dury twice, years back in the 80's in Manchester and then on his last legs in London right at the end. Wilko is kinda unique. love this song. Weaves it together

    Electric song of Wilko's and great effort on Roger's part but it will never replace the spine-tingling live version of Lee's that we all know and compare it to...superb video

    rogers voice has changed with age (obviously)
    but it hasnt lost any power.

      Yeah, his voice was almost gone by '06. Julie Andrews! and Daltrey found this doctor that operated on them a few years back and now their careers are on track, only one octave lower, which is just no problem...as you can hear. Go Wilko & Roger!

    I love this so much! I think this was the first song I heard from the album. It's great that it starts 'I wanna live' - so life-affirming, especially considering the circumstances. Rock on boys!

      I saw him in 79, up stage front, and was gobsmacked by his moves. Alongside Lee it just emphasized how cool they both were.
