All that sound... and it's only THREE instruments! Big Figure's driving drumming is spot on, the bass player (name?) is laying in the bottom... but that Wilko! Wow... SO much rhythm and sound from only ONE guitar. He was so modest, but what he did on the guitar, and how he did it... was so extraordinary! Of course, I would be remiss to not tip the hat to Lee, too. I saw Dr Feelgood several times.Unfortunately it all put paid to becoming a sensible:upright and productive member of society...and then came Thatcher and the utterly broken country we became in 1980’s. Although Britain was called the sick man of Europe,it produced some of the greatest bands and music you will ever hear...thank God for the “Dole”-it allowed all these bands to survive and thrive!!!

Canvey legend, a total one off with his unique style (Like Keith Moon but with a guitar). His influence on the the punk movement that was emerging at the time should not be forgotten. He will be greatly missed.

Wilko probably made an everlasting impression on rhythm guitarists all over the world. Eddie van Halen was the wizard, Wilko the riddle. No one can touch his way of locomotion guitar playing.

Wilko is an original that can't be copied - and at the same time influences a wide variety of players. For me - that's where the rubber meets the road. Amazing character. Have to be him to play him - and he gives something to strive for. And check out the bass player, John B. "Sparko" Sparks playing pumping bass/rhythm guitar on the bass! The whole thing is a great kind of nuts. And they were high on speed. Crazy times. Ordinary lives don't make music of this energy.
