I agree with you 100% Dr Dan!! I am guessing there are many individuals who, like me, love to sing, but stop short in fear of someone hearing them. That was me for years! With time( and dare i say, age) I decided lessons were the way for me to understand my own sound, work on it, and grow confident in "exposing" it. It takes a while but with guidance from a great teacher, and repeated singing in front of *very* supportive audiences , the fear is replaced by joy. It's worth facing and conquering!

Ironically enough, I sing just fine in public, but speaking in public is still very terrifying
