@@PCsandEVs Yeah, I guess it wasn’t standard until late 2021 or something. You should do a video about it. If you go look under additional vehicle information under software, it’ll tell you if it’s installed. If yours says it’s not, will you talk more about your adapter? Ha
Yup Brunswick EA sucks big time. Was there about 5-6 weeks ago and it took me three chargers and five sessions over just about an hour to get to about 50%. Only EA location where I have ever had such horrible experience. That was in my Ioniq5 which should charge to that level in about 10 minutes or less.
Tbh I’m kinda shocked the charging time is that little. I thought it would’ve been a lot longer? I’ve been thinking about getting an EV as my next vehicle. It would legitimately save money with all the free chargers in my city.
Especially if you got a comparable vehicle, you'll save money even charging at home. If you commute less than 50 miles per day, a regular wall outlet will do for charging. That's what I use.
Tesla stuff just works. In my opinion, there is no other EV option other than Tesla because of it. The more EA sucks and other providers continue to be terrible, the more legacy auto dig their heels into making crappy EVs, the further and further ahead Tesla will be.
Sad day that I cannot roadtrip on my beautiful genesis gv60 yet :( makes me sad and impatient as tesla opens up their network with v4 chargers because E-GMP platform cars will max out around 100 kw for charging on v3 chargers. Need dat juice. I love tesla charging infrastructure but I could never see myself driving a car with such a huge lack of buttons, I need buttons for very basic functions.
@PCs and EVs leaves a LOT to be desired. Naples fl EA stations suck and there's only 4! They need to get their shit together before people move on to tesla for their reliable charging infrastructure
They don't care. VW were forced to installed those (but not maintained them) as their "punishment" for Dieselgate. They got off way too easy if you ask me.
@PCs and EVs that's pretty good. 2 months ago I drove 1,300 miles in a gas car from NJ to Naples florida and it cost about $260 for regular fuel. I just took delivery of a MYP the other day so I'm looking forward to a road trip in the tesla
Tesla's Brunswick supercharger is my favorite. There's a Brunswick bowling alley right there!
Nicely done. Enjoyed following you along, I just ordered a MY so am excited!
Awesome! Thank you!
What adapter do you use for CCS? My 2021 MYLR indicates CCS is not installed, so I haven’t wanted to order an adapter if it wouldn’t work.
Wait you got a 2021 model y withOUT ccs installed? That’s the first model y I’ve heard without it to begin with

It is on ours, sorry for the delay!

It was SO BAD and pooler wasn’t much better for the two lightnings, they both had to try multiple charge sessions
great video homie keep it up :)
Thanks, will do!

Honest answer? I was ready with the car to leave before the gf and 6 year old on 95% of our stops.
Question .. I’m new to Tesla . How do you know ahead that the charger is free like the one in your hotel ? Thanks
Any of the destination chargers that there are around are all free

Using some other hotel’s destination charger while staying somewhere else is pretty shady.
Ok. So what's the alternative?
@@birdistheword1226 stay at the hotel that provides the destination chargers.
My apologies, looking back I didn’t know the hotel next door had it before booking, saw it while pulling into the hotel lots
You’ll be ok

I agree, I’d love to take our gv60 on this kind of a road trip, but clearly the charging infrastructure leaves something to be desired

I agree. Charging is one of the many reasons we bought a model y for road trips

What were your total supercharging fees for the trip from Florida?
Probably around 100-140$
