Useful. This will prove useful when I am asked by female participants when I am back to training again. I know walking partners in the past (male) who swear by the likes of Ron Hills, yes I go back that far. I have tried this in the early days of my walking. However, I much prefer trousers, mainly because I am a pocket junkie. What I hear a lot of from females is that they want trousers with the same pocket functionality as my trousers but manufacturers don't tend to do this which I have always found odd. Women enjoy the outdoors but colours and designs always appear to be limited. Keep up the good work.
Hi Ian, I too am old enough to have worn those classic Ron Hill tights, the royal blue ones with the red piping down the sides! Manufacturers are at last beginning to realise that female walkers also want pockets etc, Montane do a great range of pants for women. Thanks for watching. Paul.
BTW Fjallraven also has technical tights for men. I’ve always thought that leggings would be better for avoiding insects like tics getting up your leg under your trousers.
Yes insect bite my legs with red spots, which is why I wore trousers last time but now I use leggings including tights most of time and less use trousers

What's the difference between hiking leggings & gym leggings? I have so many running leggings from years of runnings & are moisture wicking & dry quick are they not practical? However I'm fed up of teenie tiny bits of gravel going in my boots so in the market for trousers that will go over my boots x
Most outdoor leggings are made of far tougher materials, have more pockets, frequently feature zipped lower legs and will repel light rain and wind. Yes leggings has good high waist o have lots of women high waist leggings some are mid rise it prefect ad I wear every day without shorts in public 😉
