Alex, This is the best review of Fjallraven products I have seen. You have done a completely thorough and excellently detailed presentation, and this is just spectacular info for these pants. I just bought a pair of Vida Pro's and I love them, but have really been thinking of a pair of Kebs for outdoor winter use. A few notes on your video. 1) You are great! Love your energy and enthusiasm. You speak clearly and you tell a good story that stays interesting and engaging the whole way through. 2) Your information is better than the Fjallraven Videos, and more complete than most of the people who just rave about these pants. ( keb) Thank you for taking this seriously and doing such a great job. 3) the cage match thing at the start may be a bit over the top. Not sure you need that when you have such a great video. A lot of people on You tube think you need to be silly or over the top in some way, but your info is over the top great, and you might consider that as enough. These are spendy pants ( both) and super high quality.... 4) Not sure about your color grading. 5) Loved the little detour about the color of the light, and that you have not seen the sun in so long! A great reminder that you are up on the top of the world.... living in a beautiful and exotic place. So cool! These little asides make your video more human and more authentic. .. which is nice to see . 6) Music --- as background it was fine... but maybe a different, less frantic, more thoughtful or contemplative sound ( or not at all?) This is a thoughtful video, maybe music to match that feeling would play better. 7) Only 463 views? You deserve more than that! I subscribed! Looking for more Fjallraven and High end gear reviews. The Fjallraven line is so confusing. Dont know if you guys sell Arcteryx, or not, but their line is super confusing too, and could use some nice video explainers. Actually, probably any quality line of products would benefit from a detailed review like yours. 8) Enjoyed hearing about the Beaver Sport staff comments! Its so nice to hear real life reviews. Sounds like you have a nice group of people up there. 9) Be patient. Make more videos. Keep improving. Alex, you are very charismatic and have a great presence on camera. Looking forward to seeing more of you and these reviews in the future.
Steve, this is great feedback. Thank you very much. We're definitely going to take it into consideration going forward. I have found that it is nearly impossible to truly understand a product when just looking at the listing online, so I'm happy to hear the videos do a better job. We do sell Arcteryx and actually have some Arcteryx videos planned and we're currently testing a new jacket from them that we'll be reviewing soon so stay tuned for those. Again, really appreciate the feedback!
The quality of this video and review ... I couldnt believe you're not over 100K subs. Here is one for the cause though. Thank you for making the decision for me , well helping me decide on the Keb. Thanks !
Excellent comparison! Exactly what I needed to see Just a suggestion though, maybe tone down the background music, or omit it entirely. Kind of distracting
Just ordered the Abisko Lite Trekking Jacket today after trying it on at a store. I'll be pairing them with Vidda Pro pants I already own. Feels like a pretty badass outfit.
@@f50koenigg The Vidda Pros are great for sitting around the campsite. They are going to be great for hiking in the late fall-winter-early spring. That being said, they are far too heavy for me to hike with in any weather above 50°F. I ended up buying Abikso Midsummer trousers and spent the summer and early fall hiking with those paired with the jacket instead. A much cooler outfit temperature wise, and both the jacket and midsummers have zippered vents to cool off with. I heat up and sweat like crazy. I'm going hiking in the Presidentials in NH in 2 days and it might be time to break out the Viddas on that hike as the weather up there can get cold in an instant.
I can tell you from personal experience that wearing the Keb pants every day for several months, the zipper will break. I’m on my fourth pair now. I wish they would use a stronger zippper.
@@nicksluder4764 I do wear the long ones yes. The bottoms of the pants are very forgiving with length due to the press stud adjustments. They’re cool’s pants, still wearing them now. I’ve bought another 2 pairs since my previous comment.
How do the the Vidda Pro and Vidda Pro ventilated stack up? Do you feel the Keb is superior to the Vidda, and the Abisko is meant for an entirely different purpose?
Amazingly comfortable are also Karl Pro. Although none strech parts are there. But I had to return them because they are not built for my height 170cm. Shaped knees were too low. And I hate that we have to finish bottom of legs. So Keb and Abisko are my favorites in long leg pants. Ruaha in shorts.
I think they don't produce Short version (30"). So I also (170cm) ended with regular length (it is I think 32" 81cm). But because you can taper them down it is not issue for me. And of course I bought both: Abisko an Keb :-). But I have 72kg, so I have M (48) size.
No, polyester and polyamide are both NOT “very” breathable. As a general rule, synthetic materials are not breathable while natural materials are. Of course depending on the way the fabric is woven, it can be a little bit breathable but no where near as much as natural materials.
Yeah buy goretex for wet weather G1000 WILL get soaked you cannot wax clothes in the mountains .and that £200 will have been wasted on a fashion statement , i own 5 pairs keb and viddas + parka number whatever it is , isnt waterproof
@@BeaverSportsAK Actually, no music most of the time. Your general demeanor was sellable as someone I believe is speaking from experience. The music sounds like some company thought they knew their customer base and decided to annoy everyone with meaningless music. The music literally makes you appear as a shill.
@@goodtimes1046Thank you for the feedback! We will brainstorm and potentially cancel music in future videos. If we added music during some parts of the videos (like during the slow-motion reveals?) would that be acceptable or do you think it would still be off-putting?

Keb trousers are way too cold for alaska without big thermals underneath
Right!? Magnifick!
A very comprehensive review on all important aspects. Thank you.

Man that music...please make it stop. Thanks for the video though :)
The Abisko look less like a hardcore outdoor pant, therefore it has a better trail to town factor. This Can come in handy in a lot of situations.
The best review I've ever seen. Incredibly informative and funny as F.
Thank you so much!
Music is torture. One of the best review about fjallraven though
Excellent comparison! Exactly what I needed to see
Just a suggestion though, maybe tone down the background music, or omit it entirely. Kind of distracting
Thanks! Good to know. We will keep perfecting our vids with that in mind
Wow. Just moved to Fairbanks and was researching these pants. Video matchmaking 👌🏼. Subscribed - great video and information.
Nice information about these pants. Hope you’re doing a review off the abisko lite trekking zip-off pants? 👍
Just ordered the Abisko Lite Trekking Jacket today after trying it on at a store. I'll be pairing them with Vidda Pro pants I already own. Feels like a pretty badass outfit.
how is the trekking jacket paired up with the vidda pro pants?

Nice pants. How to they fit? Tight, baggy, loose, slim?
I can tell you from personal experience that wearing the Keb pants every day for several months, the zipper will break. I’m on my fourth pair now. I wish they would use a stronger zippper.
Quick question. Are the keb pants the ones that come extra long and you have to take them to be tailored/ hemmed to your specific size?
@@nicksluder4764 I do wear the long ones yes. The bottoms of the pants are very forgiving with length due to the press stud adjustments. They’re cool’s pants, still wearing them now. I’ve bought another 2 pairs since my previous comment.
I love fjäll🦊 looking so nice u can have it in the city and in the woods
Awesome video Dude. Informative and made me laugh a lot 👌👏
Haha that makes us smile! Thanks for sharing 👍
Alex w/ his gear reviews over and done with?
May i know what is Alex’s height and weight ? I have problem with fjallraven sizing
One of the best reviews
This was really useful, thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Fairbanks!! What the heck neighbor. Great video!
Edit, we have these pants in Fairbanks ‽?
Yes we do! Both of em
Thanks for this awesome review!
Glad it was helpful!

Would also like to know this
vidda pro is no trekking pant
Isn't cotton one of the worst materials to wear when it comes to terrible rain?
This is polycotton, very sturdy and tightly woven. When waxed this fabric is not only durable but it dries really fast too.
Thanks for the great reviews. Lose the music.
Alex you do a good job, need to review Fjall raven singi wool padded parka
nice video, btw what kind of shoes are u wearing? Do they have a name for this style of winter boots?
Go check out Sorel Winter Boots
Yer there pricey but dont mind if last well. Brought the lite ones im n australia an need em thro summer. If to hot thats ok look good cheers
why the continuous BGM?!
I really wanted to listen to your review but ... its impossible!
What color is your keb pants?

Nice Video! :-)
Glad you enjoyed it!
The filter makes it impossible to tell the actual colour.
Great
I'm guessing your Keb pants are 32" inseam judging by the extra length. Sadly they don't make Keb in 30" inseam which is why I don't own a pair.
He Explains How easy it is to tailor them to your specific size

Are these pants not too hot to wear on summertime?
When its really hot you should always go for shorts if it is posible.
Damn, wish it had rear pockets haha
Sometimes we do too!
Karl Pro has it. But none stretch pannels and fitted knees are too low for my usage (170cm). Otherwise they would be great.
No, polyester and polyamide are both NOT “very” breathable. As a general rule, synthetic materials are not breathable while natural materials are. Of course depending on the way the fabric is woven, it can be a little bit breathable but no where near as much as natural materials.
The size small corresponds to what numeric size number? 44, 46? Thanks
me 46...
Alex's Fjallraven pant size is 46 (30-31" in US size)
@@BeaverSportsAK Thanks!
Of course, Keb Trauser is better off.
Don't you think so?
It all depends on what you want to use it for! Neither is necessarily better, just different for different purposes :)
Use the front vent to air out all the junk
The mountain foxes are too expensive for theirs poor quality so they have difficulty selling in Sweden
Music is Too noisy!!!! Ruidiculous
So lengthy and overexplained ... just the way I like yt videos XD
Yeah buy goretex for wet weather G1000 WILL get soaked you cannot wax clothes in the mountains .and that £200 will have been wasted on a fashion statement , i own 5 pairs keb and viddas + parka number whatever it is , isnt waterproof
Goretex also uses PFCs which are permanent and toxic. Unless you’re climbing Everest, wax is a better option.
I hated the music.
