Hi Tris, another nice video. Enjoy watching the progress you are making and the relaxed way you present them. Keep up the good work and I look forward to the next video.
I can tell you really enjoy playing. Yes, I see the RC cars on the shelf behind you. :-) I really like that. You remind us all that this hobby should be first and foremost fun. Thanks for the reminder!!
I love watching your videos tris, I'm a big fan of slow running trains, you can see the full range of movement on the drive wheels pistons etc. When you're running the narrow gauge the movement and wobble of the engine is mesmerising. It so reminds me of watching some of the shunting in the docks in Portsmouth when my dad was in the navy in the early 1950s. Also tris when you bring out a engine or wagon and say "my dad bought me this for a birthday " that's the best. I'm building a small layout for my grandchildren and some of the items are from my old hornby doublo or triang railway 60years old now. Some from my sons train set in the early 80s and now with the grandchildren in the 2020s this is family history. Keep doing what you're doing, stay safe in these times. Eddy xx
We all respect each other’s views but contrary to Norman Rowe’s expression for you to speed up the running of your trains I most definitely take the counter position and would encourage you to continue running the trains at a slower pace. Not sure how scale speed would equate but the way you present your trains running supports a relaxed viewing channel whilst allowing for detailed appreciation of the locos, rolling stock and scenics. Rock ‘n roll Tris, I enjoy your channel.
Thanks Tom, I think I could do a bit of both. I appreciate the comment as I like how they look when they run slowly showing off all they have in all there glory.
Thanks Sir :) Its nice to look at the older models and remind yourself of when you got them as it gives so much more depth to a model when they mean something to you. I hope your well. I was watching some of your episodes today which was nice and relaxing.
Thank you Martyn, Its always fun for me to share as I'm learning people are always happy to listen so I carry the camera around and make sure I record it all.
I know what you mean with the flash lines. I have a few locomotives and that is the main thing that spoils the look of them. Once I get back into modeling, I will start getting rid of them and re-painting them. I will have to start to learn to paint again. It has been about 30 years now.
I have the same loco (albeit unboxed), really nice. Also have a white metal kit for one I need to get on with... before you consider sanding the moulding flash line, just check some pics taken from above because although it shouldn’t be on the smokebox or chimney, the boilers are clad in sheet metal and there may well be a seam line where the flash line is. I’ve found this myself where I also got rid of the line on a repainted model only to look at a photo I took from a bridge and saw it really did have a line haha!
Awesome vid again dude and awesome use of background music - really enjoy the slow motion shots! I want to also convert my wagons to NEM (Norman Europäischer Modellbahnen) couplers. Think it’s better than the Hornby D Couplers
Buy old wagons and go for it , coal great as easy cheap load , step 1 get a piece of coal , not burning much these days thankfully, bash it up, pva water, ferry liquid or similar and Bishop bas bosh , dry brush , change logos as extra , weather to your liking . Great satisfying and be inspired by videos like these
Another nice video ... Your layout is progressing nicely. I am a great fan of British Railway modelling (GWR in particular) ... But where I live UK models are impossible to come by, so I stick to continental modelling, more specially Belgian Railways ... I might make a video or two in the future. Take care in these difficult times !!! .... By the way I love your present hairstyle and beard ... Cheers
Tris I love watching your videos there always mesmerising I just wish I could be as confident as you on my channel but I try and I’m learning just as you keep up the good work cheers mate .... :0) .... Chris
Hi Trish sorry I missed the stream, face time from the grandchildren, just caught up with your update, look forward to the next one. Take care stay safe.
Nice! a few things, I can’t take my eye off that rc car collection, especially the mini, my rakes look just like yours but plastered in LMS! And lastly, there’s got to be an air brush soon!
Ha Ha Yes an Airbrush will be nice but at the moment painting with a brush doesn't upset me so I'm happy at the min. The cars are part of my hobby plus what I do for my work. Check out my other channel Trishbits and you will see my lone of work.
Hi. I was a bit late. I went back and watched the video. Great stuff. I understand you slow your running trains down in your camera to give them more weight and gravity, when you are in production. I do believe you can speed their movement up a bit more. That’s my 2 cents. I like the reworked wagons. They look great. See ya next time.
Hi Norman, I appreciate that. I have fun with it. Yeah I can do that on a few shots for you ;) Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon on the next one :)
I think you should leave the LMS wagon in LMS livery because it's an LMS wagon, not a GWR one. Also, if you look at old photographs of GWR goods yards in the 20s/30s, they were still made up of predominantly LMS and LNER wagons.
Thanks Lennon, I like the GWR colours and as my railway is fictional I am just meeting my imagination so this entertains me and makes it fun making them this way but thank you for the suggestion all the same.
That kind of freight stock & private owner wagons wandered all over the country, being used as convenient rather than being returned to it's parent company once empty. A smattering of NE/SR/LMS branded stock throughout a rake is entirely legitimate. But of course, it's your railway.......
Another wonderful video Tris.. Your video composition and enthusiasm for our hobby is brilliant. Thankyou

I prefer seeing the trains running slower, after all its not Scalextric :) But i do vary the speed but they are never flat out.
Thanks Tris!
Lovely vid tris love the GWR wagons
The new loco looks cool now it is time to start the scenery around the station.
I to am a fan of the slow running trains, looks great on video, loving your videos keep up the good work

Nice video! It's great to have these tangible and physical bridges between your current "world" and the fond memories each one gives. Cheers

Thanks Sir, I will try my best I wish I could take a couple of weeks off work and just work up in the loft.
