- Chris Bulaw and Ryan Whitacre are back out on the inner city waters of Chicago and this time they're chasing largemouth bass in the Chicago River. Cities are often overlooked for their fishing, but as you'll see in this video, cities can provide some unexpectedly good fishing due to the lack of fishing pressure.

first of all very good video and my question is if I can go fishing from the shore since I fish and release and I liked that place to visit since I saw that there are some docks and I wanted to know if you can go fishing there. thanks greetings
That's not the heart of downtown or you would be surrounded by huge skyscrapers lol but point notes. Also I'm not sure who says there no fish in the river in goes out to lake Michigan which is loaded with just about every fresh water species. Hell they even has a bass pro tournament back in the day... Cool video

They locals call it " The Bubbly Creek " whoever falls in / never gets out / due to all toxicity from all the sewer dumps every other mile.

Let me correct you , that is not the middle of downtown that is near goose island. There are also smallies and white bass in the chicago river . but I wouldn't bring any home

That was more than likely a big muskrat and not a beaver. The tail would be a dead giveaway, but you can't see it in the video.

Chicago is mostly catch and release for us. Except during Perch season.
Your only about 4 1/2 hrs from me.. I've heard there is good fishing were you are fishing.. I've seen eaters.

Btw if you ever fish it again cast the other way towards the east side along the rocks the west side is way to shallow way more fish on the east

@@ahikernamedgq go walk thru south chitcago and get back to me. Yes I have been there. Watched dudes hijack a load of meat off a semi by backing up to the doors of the trailer at 60mph, and this was on I90! Crap town and I would never live there.
