Waiting for you to get back out on LM on the john boat. What kind of line do you use when fishing the tightrope. I have been using 12# braid with a 10# leader I am losing to many jigs??? Which i totaly get fishing the rocks. Best of luck to you. Be Safe.
@JimJanda-o2t I use straight 15lb flouro as I tend to use the 1/4 oz jig on my baitcaster . For spinning rod purposes, the 1/8 oz jig is good with 10lb braid and 10lb leader . It also helps to constantly check your line after you drag thru the rocks. A lot of the time, your line will be frayed from zebra mussels, and you won't notice . If you're looking for boat action on the big pond the next video will have you satisfied!
You should start 1 of those list in the description so we can buy what your using and make you some money on the side! Love your videos bro keep em coming! 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Awesome video! I will be visiting Chicago the last week of September. Will I have a chance to catch any smallies in downtown off Lake Michigan? I’ll also be up in Milwaukee that same week as well. Tight lines!
@aaronjamescesar2123 1/8 oz is all you need most of the time . 1/4 works but, of course, can get snagged more . 1/4 oz I reserve for 20 foot plus depth
I just moved to chicago myself, Ive been fishing the river up near lakeview area and have been catching small 2-3lbers all day but cant seem to catch much on the lake. What do bass bite on the lake during what parts of the year?
One million percent . It's one of the best rods I've used, and it stays in my hand/on the boat. Durable too. They're forgiving if you accidentally bang it up a bit
Just subbed dude this vid might have convinced me to to plan my first fishing day DT, any recommended stretches? Or are they pretty easy to find anywhere along the shore
Great video and downtown smallies from the Big Pond bruh. Nice bunch of fish and an impressive carp. With these fish tearing up the cicadas my buddy caught about a 15# on his dly rod. Insane action buddy
Great content as always...regarding the GLF Juvy Craw....are you having trouble with your hook moving out of the gap between the pincers? I am constantly having to check the hook and reset it...great bait though like all GLF...good fishin'!
Thanks! Yes, the curve of the hook likes to move around a bit . I always keep it in between the antennas, and it'll stay like that until I hook a fish . Small price to pay for fish catching ability! Thanks again
@TomStarcevich-fb3qo make sure you also are using the great lakes finesse tube heads to match . They're shaped for the tube head . Anything smaller will slip up the line after every fish...which I don't mind, but some will not like
If I had to choose one overall rod . 7 foot medium/medium heavy spinning rod 2500 size reel with 10-15lb braid . That'll be able to toss most stuff . If you prefer baitcasters then the same rod but in casting version and a 150 size daiwa/shimano
I’ve fished the lake front my whole life there were never any large or smallmouth bass now we target them I’ve also caught northern pike while salmon fishing in the harbors The lake had changed no more smelt but now we have monster bass
@bernarddavis4392 There's literally hundreds of parking spaces all along the lakefront trail . Most are 10-25$ to the park, though. Use the app spot hero to find the cheapest parking . Thanks for watching!
Awesome video yet again! I make fishing videos as well so it's really fun to watch your videos and I really enjoy them!! I've gotta get out and make a bass fishing video myself!! Keep up the great work!! 💪🤝
Thank you for the excellent video. But bro tone it down a bit by saying the Lords name in vain ! You do have Christian fishermen out there watching. Thank you and God bless. Appreciate you and your videos ! Tim Nelson

Salmon will be coming in around that time if it cools down some. Chance to catch some nice fish
Hey man what weight tube hook are you running with that juvy craw? Smacking down on that many smallies from the bank downtown is impressive

Ran into your video on my recommendation and I was not disappointed. Great video bro! I might have to add some brolls to my videos too!
What lot you park in down there? This stretch looks so much more chill to fish than up north towards Montrose.
Love the video! Crankin em in chi town!!!
Another spectacular video. Great job
Thank you for watching!
Gorgeous spot I gotta give it a shot this week what spot is this & is there parking close by?

Nice video was this filmed recently and can u still get smallies in the harbors? I’m thinking of going to wakegan harbor
Filmed very recent . Don't waste your time there . Go south . Montrose or farther
Thanks
Where at in the chi? I need to get on a solid smallie bite.

Thanks for the love dawg . They're pretty easy to find but stay montrose or south of it. Waukegan is boo boo compared to the city

Hey my friend and I live in the Chicago land area, we’re wondering what harbour this is?
@ShearockFishing this wasn't filmed in a harbor . Just along the trail
