- Welcome to the CL Pet Ads where we will evaluate care shown in these ads and discuss with you the good and bad pet husbandry. We will bring up valuable points, what works for the pet, mention what could be improved and discuss a species needs. The focus in these videos will be about educating to encourage the viewer on learning more about the pet and to showcase #ThinkAdoptionFirst. Not everyone will bring their small companion to a shelter or rescue. Many choose to list still on Craigslist. There are hardly any rescues or foster homes for small pets like hamsters, so maybe you'd like to help out your small pet community after seeing this video? Who knows, maybe you'll make a different in the lives of pets and people.

The buzzing with headphones on feels like there's a bug in my ear 😭😭
she did post on the community tab warning us about the issue, it's because the blluetooth thing was on and she tried to fix it so that it wouldn't be there but it was a fail on that part.
But it's only like this for 2 videos she said.,
Sorry. It was the signal from the Bluetooth that made the mic crackle from my Rode mic. I didn't realize this till I had filmed two videos and then uploaded them to my PC. I fixed the problem tho. Thank God for The internet and finding solutions. But I couldn't get rid of the noise fully. And I do apologize. I tried. 😭
I took mine off in a panic looking for a stink bug 😱 😂
@@shellym79 what's a stink bug ? an earrwigg?
@@fitzguineavision no. I think it's an Asian beetle invasive species that sounds like a mini helicopter when it's flying. They're harmless to people but they are loud when flying which is unnerving. If you squish them they release a horrible odor.
ME SCREAMING WHEN I SEE THIS VIDEO BECAUSE HOW EXCITED I AM OF THESE BEING BACKKKKK❤❤❤😆😆😆😆😆
I litterally use those flying saucers for my hermit crab to play onXD i cant imagine any hampster using it
Nice to see you again on here! I will never interest people who didn't research before getting a pet. I have guinea pigs. I spent months learning everything I could before beginning to gather things they would need. Took two months to get everything right, and make everything before beginning to look for animals to rescue. After seeing your videos I've become very interested in hamsters. I've been researching for close to six months, and beginning to gather supplies, but feel months away before I'm ready. Yet people walk into a pet store and on a whim get a living thing and put it in a prison. I will never understand that. Not ever.
I occasionally check on these sites too since watching your channel. My dwarf is from one of these searches. Unfortunately can't really take in those in really bad shape as I worry their disease or mites etc will spread to my other hammies. 😢 I do alert rescue groups if any are close by.
where I live, it's next to impossible to find a rescue. But over the past 2 years of owning my Hamilton I notice that more people are starting to advertise as rescues on the hamster facebook pages. I think people start a rescue out of sympathy without really taking on board the need for regular funds to keep the supplies flowing etc. I personally keep advertising 'ethical hamster care' and find I have to walk away from people who start with the 'I can't afford...' line. I realise it's not possible to educate a lot, but it's wonderful to see ethical hamster care has started to increase and people who want to share photos are getting the much needed advice on what they need and how to set up. And there is such a level of joy people find from learning to set up a natural style for Hammys.
I 100% agree with you here.
OMG FINALLY THIS IS BACK
Yes, hopefully more frequently. 🤞
Keep on preaching the good word on humane small pet care :)
very educational!
I have 2 hamsters one from a breeder and one was an unwanted pet both are Syrians (Reggie and Ronnie), last year when I took in Ronnie I said i didn’t need the cage it was a circus tent cage anyway as I have 2 100 by 54 cages and one was empty so after I sprinkled my magic the cage was ready for him. Honestly he was overwhelmed at first and didn’t know what to do plus he was terrified of the sand bath. He soon settled and he’s doing brilliant they both are.
Hey thanks for a new video
CA has LA, and boy the listings are always garbage here…sooo many backyard breeders in nasty cages.
The elderly hamster we took in was very wobbly. Only reason he didn’t have deep bedding, but he did have enrichment and different substrates.
I remember during the early days of doing the CL pet ad videos, i'd peak down at CA and yep...the naked hamster ones came from an avid backyard breeder down there. Really put me off.
@@MunchiesPlaceWe rescue guinea pigs. I had to stop going to CL…
Oh boy
No braces! Looks awesome.
Ty kindly :)
I have braces
The one that says murrieta what did you search to find? If it’s Ohio I’m close to there I could check on the hamster
I looked at Idaho, Arizona, Utah and Nevada. But somehow I got California from one of the searches.
WAKE UP GUYS
Hello I'm awake. 😅
I think your mic or camera mic is messed up. There's a faint crackling during the video.
She addressed this in a community post :)
@TheHamsterRoom yeah I saw that right after I finished the video lol.
Me so sorry. 😭
@@MunchiesPlace it's ok! I just feel silly I didn't see the post until after commenting

I noticed you said " especially in America" are you saying that it seems Americans seems to be more stubborn to the common knowledge that all animals deserve sufficient space and feed etc ?
I can promise you here in Canada, alot of rehoming posts have hamsters living in those trash little tiny itty bitty what I call GARBAGE!!!
It's unreal . People think small animal means small living space.
Since im located in America, I mentioned this. In other videos I have mentioned the difference between countries and their care. Canada is very similar to the US but since I don't know your pet stores and the type of enclosures your store stock, I cannot say without looking at your version of Craigslist, what type of enclosures you typically see being rehomed with hamsters. Just that PetSmart/Petco and mom/pop stores tend to carry the same thing constantly which is Kaytee critter trails, tiny tales and the occasional same looking vertical wire starter cage.
@@MunchiesPlace that's fair.can only back what you know for fact that makes sense
