      Hey so that muscle enhancement doesn’t just help with terrain. It reduces slow from all sources. Big help when it comes to hunters and the little bile shooter guys

      @@unendingdeluge2545 idk about that i run the muscle enhancement religiously and honestly in the times ive had to not use it because of what my teammates are using... i havent noticed a difference in things like hunter melees, stalker melees, or being slowed by things like getting hit by bile spewers that all still slows you down ridiculously slow... like basically a death wish still... those are just my interactions as someone who runs it constantly...

      Vitality booster only adds durability to your limbs most things kill me before a broken legs matters anyways. (Less likely to break an arm or leg or end up with chest contusion and bleed out.) It's meh. Ammo and stamina boosters are all I care about.

      @@ryanpost1446 it's been tested tho, from my experience it gives you a significant amount of health on top of your base stats. Makes taking stray shots way less punishing.

    Muscle enhancement also reduces the slow applied to you from hunters and the bile bug types

      dont know if the video mentions it, but i believe it also allows you to move faster during the tremors, and sand/snow storms

      Yes against bugs I'd say S-tier, you still get slowed by hunters but the difference is like 90% vs 30%.

    Small correction on dying: Super Credits are not lost on death, as soon as you pick them up, much like Warbond medals, they are instantly attributed to your account. You only lose gear and samples on death.

      An important note i can make as well is that if someone picks up super credits and then you get kicked or your game crashes, you will keep them as well. Small note but I've heard this concern many times.

      Silly question: are super credits and medals like samples in that they are shared amongst the squad or just the player that picks them up? I've been mostly solo so it hasn't been an issue, but eventually I'd like to squad up and make sure that we're all benefitting.

    With sandstorms and blizzards slowing you down, muscle enhancement also lets you maintain your speed when those weather effects happen.

      @@hampdog5716 Radar is better than muscle enhancement, ngl. What muscle enhancement does seems wide, but shallow. Certainly not what I would expect from gaining enhanced strength in suicidal soldiers.... In many of the situations I see the character getting slowed, I can guarantee id be able to move better than that. Hell, without muscke enhancement, they can barely move like an average person, and with the booster, it only manages to reach average. Hills? Can do better. Leaf bushes? Can do better. Acid? Doesnt even make sense. They cant even swim....
      Tbh, it would be hilarious if they dropped a booster that allows you to swim. :D

    I'm the author of the 2 Patrol Analyses and appreciate the callout.
    I need to provide some corrections though. The Localization Confusion Booster is NOT a 35-40% increase. We were running into an unknown issue during initial testing that was massively inflating our times and after retesting, we settled at a ~10% increase to the time between bot drops/breaches.
    Getting clean data for Reinforcement calls is a pain due to reliance on AI behaving correctly.
    You also state that the longer a mission goes, the harder they get which is potentially not true depending on how it is interpreted. People think that Time itself has an effect on Patrol spawn rates and composition and it does not. Time does not affect Patrols in any way.

      Time effects patrols. Even the gametip says it in the loading screan sometimes...
      Time does not effect the spawnrate, but the spawndifficulty... My english isnt that good, but for example one patrol spawns at the beginning with 1 hulk and a few other bots and after a good time ingame if one patroll spawns in, they got 2 hulks in it instead of 1 hulk...

      @@sameron605 The tooltip is misleading at best.
      Patrol Composition is based on templates and the available templates for the mission are chosen at mission start and do not change mid mission. Each time a patrol spawns, it randomly chooses one of these templates.

      I also noticed that positioning confusion increases arriving time between dropships in one bot drop event. What makes it easier to shot down dropships

      he isnt saying it is a skill issue... sometimes you can be skilled and just be trying to make something not as effective work just to see if you can... (sounds dumb i know) but i have friends who basically if i tell them something is good they will actively avoid using it because they "dont like abusing the meta options in games" i dont understand that thought process when the game can at times be hard enough as is but yeah... it do be a thing

      @@d43m0n412 I partially understand your friends' thought process. When you go straight to the meta options, it feels kind of limiting. I actually haven't used the base Breaker shotgun at all because it was the meta pick for so long. However I don't avoid everything that I think is good; I will still abuse things like the old Slugger and new Jar Dominator.
      However I don't understand your friends' mentality if they are using it to justify increase reinforcement booster. It simply doesn't come into effect until you are on your last set of lives. There is no strategy that can make it work better (with one exception). If looking for a contrarian booster there are better options such as radar or merely picking another good booster over what was your team's must pick.
      Now on to that one exception. When your character becomes a traitor due to staying out of bounds for too long, your destroyer starts shooting at you with artillery, which can funnily be used to kill quite a few enemies if you can manage to survive for a while. It can sometimes help on Eradication missions as a last resort. But if you were to meme, your team having extra lives might not be the worst idea.

    Further localization confusion information, it does effect eradicate missions, on the small maps. It gives a brief pause on the enemy spawns, allowing people to regroup or call in new weapons while not under attack. The pause is smaller the harder the difficulty, but it is still a breath that gives your team a better chance of not being overwhelmed

      I always take localization on eradicate missions, it really does help stop the enemies from snowballing into a giant spawn wave.

      Where can I find sources or people testing it? I see so much conflicting info about this booster.
      People complaining that it doesn't affect patrols, people saying it's bugged and doesn't do anything or makes reinforcements more common, people saying it doesn't affect eradicate missions, etc.
      Anecdotally I feel like it helps on higher difficulties. My understanding was it only increases the cool down between breaches/bot drops and didn't work on eradicate missions but if it does it would be a game changer for my team.

    If they made the UAV booster show sample locations it would be S-tier or A-tier for sure.. and I feel like flexible reinforcement budget should take off a full minute.

      You can pair it with scout armor and spotting poi,s gets easier
      I just simply place my beacon on. The map and if I see enemy blips that tells me that that’s a poi because of the extended radar range you can see a ton of enemy’s
      Basically letting you know they are guarding something and there will most likely be samples
      To bad people who use the scout armor almost never place there markers to scout ahead for teammates tho
      It really helps with voiding patrols too lol can literally see them spawn in on the mini map sometimes😂😂😂

      @@knitetimeteddy2989 There used to be a UAV stratagem in Helldivers 1 that marked all samples on the map near you, that's more what I was hoping for when I unlocked this booster. Who knows what the future holds though.

      A full minute would be far too much, keep in mind that every time someone gets called in that timer starts again. Those 12 seconds actually add up a decent bit over time, you can make sure everyone is still alive on the ground at once instead of worrying about being the last person left and failing the mission if you die, plus it means you have that one spare life recharge far quicker once everyone is back

Assuming you spawn with 0 reinforcements, that means you have a total of 2,400 seconds (40 mins) for lives to charge. without the booster over that time you gain up to 20 lives (2,400/120), and with the booster you gain up to 22 lives (2,400/108). So the difference right there is a whole 2 lives, not even as much as the other redeploy booster. So it really doesn’t add up

    Also should be clarified, since I've seen confusion on this, the hellpod optimization applies to every time you exit the pod, not just initial drop. Often those extra supplies can mean the difference in staying alive or dying again and makes it unquestionably S-tier. If I'm the high level on a drop, I always leave mine open to make sure someone brings it before readying. If I'm dropping solo, I drop with that one.

      When dropping solo you get the whole supply drop or yourself and it only aids you the first 30 seconds and any time you die.
      Would rather bring stamina to avoid dying.

    Vitality, hellpod, stamina, and localization confusion is the perfect comp from what I've seen. I try flexing on others, but it hurts when you are missing one of those 4. People in public lobbies love running radar then shoot every patrol in render distance anyway😂

    You left out what is, arguably, the most important benefit of the Muscle Enhancement bonus. With it you can run up any grade of hill AT FULL SPEED. This is a huge advantage.

      It also affects toxins so if a Hunter or Stalker attacks you it wont slow you down as much

    Regarding the Vitality booster, I believe it increases your overall maximum health by increasing the amount of health your limbs have, not reduces the damage you take. Visually, it looks similar but it's different in practice. Notably though, it seems to be the only thing in the game currently that increases the "limb" health of your head which will allow you to take an extra headshot or two before dying. Also, when you said "super credits" in that section you probably mispoke and meant "samples" instead because things like medals, requisition slips, and super credits are all immediately added to your account on pickup.

      This is not true.
      I thought the same thing at first, however the limbs are broken in the same amount of hits with or without the booster (for instance 3 shots on Heavy armor), and then it changes the amount of hits it takes to kill after the limbs are already broken.

    Important note for Muscle Enhancement - it also reduces the mobility debuff from sandstorms.

    Muscle booster helps vs bug slow effects. So it’s a must bring for me any time “hunters” are a probable opponent.

      so.... like always? i never seem to be able to go a mission without the crack head jacks being apart of it... usually they one of the most common enemies in game i believe because as effective as they are at killing you they are considered a low tier bug enemy

    For the radar booster, something to keep in mind is that Map and Ping distances listed are based on your camera, not the position of your helldiver.
    Ping something and go into first person to confirm. Or make note of a map location and turn your camera 180 and you'll find it's distance changed.
    So knowing that, base radar is 50m. and both the nuclear radar and radar booster both boost it by 50% to 75m and then 112m.

    A note on Hellpod space optimization: It also spawns you in with your weapons chambered /AND/ a full mag inserted, so you don't have to think about your first mag having one less shot if you're keeping track.
    Also it's currently bugged so that it also does that to the grenade pistol, so you spawn with 2/1 grenades in the pistol.

    The Stamina Booster is something like 68-69% boost. It is insane. It is almost like moving from Heavy to Medium Armor and Medium to Light and Light to Super-Light.
    And the Vitality Booster is like an additional +50% limb health, it basically gives you +1-2 more hits on any place.
    Both are basically required on every Dive.

    enhanced vitality + shield generator pack + heavy armor = juggernaut loadout
    trust me it's a underrated loadout

      except bile spewers they're a tough one to be up against.

      @@TimothyMark7 I realy dont like heavy armor for Bugs, the stamina penalty is too big and you are running around a ton against the Bugs.
      So you end up without stamina way too often in critical situations.
      Light or specific medium armors are the way to go, even more because you get a better plus from the Stamina Booster.
      Against Bots i started to use heavy armor and it felt alot better after the 10% buff.

      @@TimothyMark7 While I am very skeptical about it against bugs, I'll try any meme once. My only question is which heavy armor. Are we talking 200 AR? Or 150 AR with extra medkits? Or 150 AR with explosion resist? (allegedly explosive resist helps against bile spewers and bile titans, but I haven't tried it out).
      Having a teammate run stamina booster is a must; but I feel like against bugs I'll also need another teammate to run Muscle enhancement as well as the bugs have a lot of slowing attacks, and I wouldn't want to run any slower than I am already.

    I think this is exactly how I would rank them as well. Hellpod Space Optimization and Vitality should be brought on every single mission, insta-locked in (leave these for low level squadmates if there are any, as they're available very early on). The other two slots are optional, but Stamina Enhancement should be STRONGLY favored for one of these two slots - the only time I personally wouldn't take it are the eradication missions, and even then it's a perfectly fine choice. Localization Confuser is my default pick for the final slot, especially in higher difficulty missions - it will noticeably make your mission easier and allow more time to breathe in between engagements. Muscle Enhancement is great on certain planets, especially snowy ones - moving faster even out of combat is super important in this game due to the timer, and it will save your life in combat - I believe it also counters the slow effect caused by Hunters. UAV is a good pick if your team's strategy is more stealth based, and is a fine pick otherwise; if not as strong as the previous ones.
    The reinforcement boosters are not good, but I'm glad you noted that the additional reinforcements are at least useable and beneficial, while the reduced time to new reinforcements is basically a wasted slot. If someone took extra reinforcements I wouldn't be upset, especially on eradication missions it has some potential even if there are better overall options.

      I haven't tried it, but I've been considering recently that it might be best to not take the Hellpod optimization and instead call a resupply as soon as the team drops in to supply everyone.
      It might make it difficult, especially in Helldive, but for the rest of the mission you get access to another booster instead. And you probably shouldn't try to die too much anyway.
      Maybe for organised groups it would be OK.

      @@samwild6630 Hellpod optimization is certainly a booster you can go without depending on loadout and playstyle.
      Some squad weapons can reduce how reliant you are on primary weapon ammo. The medkit armor and engineering armor allow you to still have either your medkits or grenades. And some primary weapons are more light on ammo usage.
      Although even if you are really heavy on your ammo usage, the supplypack backpack can provide all that you need and then some. It is important to note that it gets refilled from resupply. Off of drop, you use your backpack to supply 3 of your teammates; then pick up one of the resupply crates, now you are fully loaded and still have 2 boxes in your backpack, blow some ammo and nades on the nearest Point of Interest and you can go back to the resupply drop, pick up 2 more boxes, and now you are again fully loaded but now have all 4 boxes on your back and there is still a singular crate left on the first resupply drop.

    i find localization thingy very usefull especially when your job is to run around and collect things while your team does the main objectives, it makes it very easy do deal with the thingies.

    Vitality booster and stamina booster is a things are constantly picked in my party no matter what. That extra couple of hits you can take or a few more seconds of running (and regen of stamina) are great and saved shit ton of nerves and missions. I also wanted to buy flexible reinforcement budget because I expected something like a 30 second or a whole minute off a timer but 12 second..

    I replace stamina with reinforcement enhancement on the king of the hill style missions, because stamina isn't needed. You're going to be overwhelmed at some point. After you lose most of your weapons and turrets you're going to die more frequently. Having those extra lives will at least get you to the finish.

      An experienced squad won't need extra lives though.
      Simply, the thing that stops you from dying in the first place, or the thing helps you when you die. Stamina also regens faster, and if you pay attention (stims = stamina and duration of the stim = no stamina drain. So a medic armor will be able to run for about 4 secs before they even run begin to run out of stamina. It opens up a more advanced way of playing, stopping you dying in the first place.

      If you can't survive long enough to extract in the survival missions with 20 lives, you're not going to do it with 24. Drop the difficulty or rethink your team's loadout.

      @@premiumfruits3528, can agree. If you can’t go into suicide lvls without dying more than 4 times it’s time to change your load out or lower difficulty. Suicide missions are pretty mellow and easy but too many times I see low lvls join or run horrible load outs, die over and over then leave after draining reinforcements. It’s frustrating lol. While I’m over here haven’t died yet and half our resources were already used 🤦‍♂️

    perfect video - been looking/wanting an explanation to this.
    curious for im a fan of game design idea - that since helmets dont have passives yet, instead of adding abilities in the helmet - wonder if theres a new set of booster to slot in to the helmet so you just keep the coolest helmet you want then add what ever booster passive you need (helmet booster is designed based on vision - to see through weathers - or see samples at farther distance etc etc)
    clarify that helmet using booster is not the current game boosters but a new set of boosters designed for helmets instead of each helmet being locked to have its own passive - simply get to dress up your helldiver without being locked to use the passive you need.
    open to any feed back on this idea and just having fun thinking about game mechanics

    If you use hellpod space optimization and have non-laser magazine fed weapon(s) you will exit the pod with not only full mags but a additional bullet in the chamber, this can be seen by holding down the fire-mode button (square on PS5)

    Something I noticed about the localization confusion booster: During extraction it can increase that reinforcement counter greatly. Without the booster you are certain to encounter at least 2 waves of enemies. With the booster it's possible to not have any enemies approach extraction and you just get to chill at the end of a mission.

    When i first got the localization confusion booster my one friend who is typically our host said to bring it as often as possible because of just how relieving it was to drop down enemy encounters. Your list is pretty spot on and man am i disappointed they only shave off 12 seconds on the reinforcement one. It should easily be a minute given they only give you one life or maybe they give you two lives. I dont know they need to majorly buff that for anyone to even think about bringing it on a mission.
    Edit: I think i just realized where the reinforcement booster one comes into play. During defend missions, since most ither pod boosters are going to be useless in a defend mission have 1-4 extra lives would honestly be a really good use for that kind if mission. Given that people die so often in those missions it honestly makes sense. But for others that will have to be more if a team decision right there.

    Nuclear radar has the same 150% farther range effect as the booster, and they stack together. Base radar is something like 48m. Having the booster and upgrade take you to 110m is an incredible difference.

      This! He even displayed a clip of him vs Hunters during the muscle enhancement segment but he probably didn't realise the booster made Hunters feasible.

    Up until now I’ve always treated boosters as something like a lucky rabbits foot. “The true stamina was in me all along” type of thing, because honestly, I can’t even tell if they’re working, let alone making a difference.

    Localization confusion is also very useful on extermination. Getting overwhelmed by constant flow of enemy on those missions is a sure way to get i to run forest run and throw reinforce situations. Slowing down enemy spawns is great way to make sure eradicate will go at nice and controled fashion.

    Localization Confusion is actually best on Eradication missions, the enemies in those missions don't come in constant spawns, they spawn in waves, and LC gives you more time between waves.
    It leaves you, with a decent team, able to wipe out one wave before the next spawns. Localization Confusion is, in my opinion, the single best booster in the game. The reduction in enemy spawns leaves you able to actually clear bases with one, maybe two reinforcement calls. It's extremely good.

    I'm fairly certain that localized confusion does work on eradicate missions (maybe rescue missions too since they work about the same). I did some testing on the same eradicate mission, and without it, the enemies constantly spawned, but with it, I had a couple of times where I killed them faster than they spawned

    I always take the hellpod optimization booster because it supports how i play really well, using the Bonesnapper armor i like to run off and do nests and other objectives solo, the extra stims keep me alive so i can keep doing more and make it back to my team when i need resupply because im not taking resuply for myself unless absolutely necessary, especially now with the Sickle

    Speaking of localization confusion (I say LoCon) and spawn rates, I was told to bring artillery shells to the cannon before hitting the terminal to keep enemies from closing in. Despite that, I often get patrol after patrol after patrol without a nest nearby. I feel like LoCon helped a bit with that, but I'm not too sure

    Additional info for anyone wondering about the new expert extraction booster, it seems to decrease extract call in time by 30 seconds if you use the terminal for it but has no effect on emergency extract timers

    good way to think about hellpod optimization: It’s 1 free extra resupply worth of stim and grenades when you land, and is another resupply’s worth every 4 deaths. if you go through 15-20 reinforces over a mission, it’s like, 6 resupplies worth of stuff

    Localization is actually really nice for Eradication. Gives everyone time to either shoot down a shop or gas a bug breach.
    My friend and I were clearing drops so well that we were sitting there on the mission just waiting for the next drop to spawn.

    One thing about Increased Reinforcement is you can use it to trade time for lives. On blitz search and destroy missions you can have people run into nests throw grenades around or drop orbitals on themselves then get spawned by in with full grenades. Its also lets you throw people around the map and they can destroy fabricators. All said its very niche in its uses.

    As someone who does Helldive on a daily basis, I think localisation is an S tier booster, it could be the different between finishing up the enemy group to fighting another wave, saves tons of time and makes it easier to extract.

    a while back before we turned on the tcs I was on a snow covered ice planet with a friend and had the stamina and muscle enhancement and it was insane how easy we were keeping ahead of chargers and bile titans literally just running from point of interest and the bugs were just losing interest behind us due to how much slower they were moving on the snow, also chargers slowly sliding on ice is hilarious

    Nice vid. Agree with everything except hellpod optimisation. Its a booster you can replace with the resupply stratagem and with ammo/stim/grenade boxes found around the map. And only affects when you drop or get reinforced. I'd prefer to run another booster instead.

    +muscle enhancement and sprint stamina against bugs
    last 2 slots against automatons I'd probably go reinforcement cooldown and sprint, but neither is absolutely required, sprint is nice but since most bots don't follow you very far it's just a QoL for getting through the mission faster, reinforcement cooldown is nice since the timer can pass so quickly on helldive and there are always small enemies scattered everywhere that don't come directly to you so you have to find them, and an extra 30-40% on that timer helps a lot.

    Does the internal timer for enemy reinforcements reset to zero after all enemies were defeated? Like does this also postpone future enemies from calling in reinforcements during an all new engagement or is it just for that initial engagement?
