Oh this was fun ! Very exciting ! We have lots of gold here but I think you have found the better way of doing it compared to having a pick shovel and bucket and planing by hand . It sounds like you have a good spot you have the signs of gold for sure ! Good luck !
@@AlaskanAssassinAdventures thanks it’s pretty awesome. I have a nice dredge trailer for towing behind my four wheeler as well that I’d like to get some use out of next year
Oops I meant Crocks !😮 This is cool I am watching you dredging it is fun watching the material get sucked up I am sure I would start seeing gold nuggets that aren’t really there lol if you get a big one you gota show it lol !!!
It’s supposed to stir up the sediments for the fish to feed and aerate the water. Then spring floods come through and you can’t ever tell a dredge was there. Pretty low impact form of mining
I had to wear 52lb diving in the pacific I’m in my 60s now but still have gold fever can’t wait to find a place hear in the Fairbanks area I mean out and I mean way away from everyone have a 4”and a 3” have been dredging for for 40 years recreational I love it
what are the rules up there in Alaska for dredging like that ?, looks like a lot of fun....from a holy shit to a holy snechk, that made my morning, have a great fall hunting season up there.
@@ericmartens5930 oh it’s a bit of a learning curve to figure out all the rules! Two permits required for recreational dredging on state land. It gets more complicated from there. Thanks for the kind words!
Why dont you move large rocks before you point the nozzle anywhere near them so you only suck up small gravels ?. You should show more of your gf. Get her involved
@@prospectorpete most of the time the large rocks are falling in front of the nozzle. Ideally yes you’re moving the big ones first but it’s also hard to film and move rocks 😂
love watching you find gold

Watching you dredge was therapeutic for me as well. I would put on a dredge vid to sleep for sure. 😊

@ninefingermining8694 just kidding brother hospital business is pretty dang good 👍 lol
@@michaelhatzinikolis8351 lots of gold in AK I also mine gold & own gold claims 👍come on up
My question is does it mess with the fish habitat? Knew a guy who had a gin pole setup on front of his flat fender jeepy. 😊

If it was me, 2 years of never using, I'd start up before going into bush.
