Do a test pan on your tailings to make sure you’re not loosing gold out the back!
Good job fellas!!
Turn the motor on idle and let it run the overburden off. Great job guys looks motivating. 👍
Maybe try a jarvinne riffle in the front. Probably do well with a jarvine riffle and a dream mat. Be a fun experiment nonetheless
Yeah, we have lots of new upgrades to show in the next few videos. We have 4 videos already filmed with the progression of our upgrades and the gold we find keeps getting better and better. Stay tuned, you won’t even recognize the dredge we started with and the one we have now, totally redone and working perfectly.
Great machine, great effort, bad spot
Hats off to you both.
Thank you!
First full video I've seen from y'all in quite a while!
Y'all doing good!
Still looking forward to a possibility of getting to join up with you guys sometime.
Nooooo 😂 I do it every damn time.. I'm literally like "OMG YESSSSSSSS" clicking all happy, ready to go on an adventure and then it's like "Ahhhhh, 40 something hours fool" and I die a little on the inside 💀 can't wait tho, looks like it's gunna be awesome as always. Love your channel guys!
Thanks man!
Tilt that box a little, 5-8 degrees is a good start, If you ever need a bigger one I have a 4 and 5”, good luck see you fellers on the water!
Nicely done. Start to finish 🎉
Thank you! I have 4 videos still to publish, stay tuned and you should really enjoy the next one!
Right ON guys thanks for sharing
Recently found your channel and love it. Hope y’all find a bunch. I’ve always thought about doing what you are doing.
Thanks man, and welcome!
Fun video to watch! My first dredge was a 3” combo and I spent most of the first 2 days learning the habits of the machine and how to tweak it. And it looks like you are having as much fun as I had! Blowing out the sluice trying to do a cleanup was hilarious!! It only takes a couple buckets of water to clean out my 6” so I would suggest doing cleanups manually.
To prevent the riffles from getting too clogged I always start with my engines at full speed and slide the sluice back as far as possible so it’s as flat as possible. If I see the riffles clogging, I move the sluice back to give it more angle. I NEVER take my engines off of full speed because dredging is all about throughput. The more suction, the more material, the more gold. Fortunately sliding the sluice back and forth has always worked.
I agree with swapping the punch plate with modern punch plate. Easier for the smaller material to get thru and increase water flow to keep it clean and efficient.
I would actually keep the riffles. It looks like the gold in your area is big enough that it won’t affect gold capture. I only take out my riffles if the area is known for very, very small gold.
Looking forward to see what the plan is for mods. Remember the golden (pun intended) rule - keep is simple stupid! There’s nothing worse than being in the middle of no where and some weird new fangled setup breaks.
Yeah it was a day for learning for sure, the blow out of the cleanup was funny. We have been out 4 times since that day and I have more videos to post with some major cleanups and lots of upgrades to the box. We definitely learned from our mistakes in this first run, and have it all figured out now. Thanks for the suggestions and advice!
@@X4PROSPECTING Can’t wait to watch your upcoming videos!

Watching you turn the pump on to clean out made me LMFAO 🤣
Lmfao, when I rewatched it I LOL’d as well.
Great job way to up your game it’s nice to see how much it worked congratulations
Thank you, at this rate we will have a full scale mine up and running in a few years 🤣
Enjoyed the hell out of it guys best of luck to you. You know you could put that pop up in the river and stay dry from the rain or get 2👍
Thanks! That’s an idea for a rainy day!
Watching from philippines❤
Nice color. Great work guys
Can’t wait to see the DM results!
It's really nice seeing you,s again

Thanks man
wow amazing my friend, very good video to watch my friend, thank you for sharing the video my friend.👍👍🤝🇮🇩
Thanks!
Cool video 🇮🇩💎⚒️⛏️🌸👍👍
Thank you
Could you make a video on how you guys clean up all your gold from the black sand and everything would be nice to see how you do it everytime
Yeah I will, I have many methods I can cover on film. Spiral wheel, miller table, etc
@@X4PROSPECTING alright nice I can’t wait to see the way you like to do clean ups
No
The second run is sweet
L like how you guys work your GOLD !!!!!!!!!!
Catching it is catching it brother
Wow that’s cool I have always wanted to do something like this but I don’t think New England has any good good spots lol
Ummm, New England (NH, VT) have lots of gold. Get out there with a pan and check it out, you may be surprised! Thanks for your comment, dredging is a blast!
Nice work guys""🤘luv ya work✌️
I’m a local welder and would love to help you guys build stuff in the future. I’m learning to prospect myself and could use any advice I can get!
That’s awesome, where are you located?
@@X4PROSPECTING Thomasville/Lexington area. I’ve been wanting to take my camper up to the mountains soon and do some prospecting. I’ll reach out to you on Instagram.
Nice rig
I'd be checking with a metal detector the tailing pile, a Finger size nugget would make it through.
It’s unlikely a nugget would make it past the first foot of the Sluicebox. But yes, I’ll make sure to take my detector out to make 100% sure
Good luck you guys, hope you do well.
Thank you!
Nice!
Nice can’t wait
Yeah buddddy!!!:)
bedrock is where the big gold is
I've done a lot of panning in Northern California. I've moved to North Carolina 18 years ago and I have a creek that runs through my property with a lot of pyrite and black sand and big boulders with a small waterfall I'm wanting to put a dredge in there see what I find
I also think that you need a little bit more angle on the slice tray. But I’ve never sluiced tbh so idk.
We made some mistakes in this first video with our new dredge, running it too slow and a few other mistakes. We have it all figured out now, have 4 videos to post of our progress over the past few weeks and the upgrades we’ve made. As far as the angle, the dredge is designed to obtain the correct angle when the box has enough water flowing through it, you’ll see in the next episode.. thanks for watching and your comment
Nice gold
i jus reliezed we live in the same town lol i havent had any luck at uwharrie yet thou
Nice job.
Thank you
Bagus alat-alat nya untuk cari emas di Kalimantan
just to ask do you have to use gas powered generators to power those dredges or can you use a couple solar powered generators that recharge themself with sun light ?
Make sure your box angle is around 10 degrees and level….
So dredging is allowed in NC and will you need permit to prospect?
Sad that your clean up didn't even cover your gas for the pump, even less so your time and vehicle gas.
Where did you find the pontoons for your dredge?
Came with it, bought it as is, for a heck of a good deal.
Could you run the pump with solar. Lotta noise. I don't think I would want someone to know I was there
.yo
If you over fill the fuel tank over full it will serge due to vacuum 🤷🏼♂️ my pressure washer does it.
We have resolved the issue now, it was a stick caught in the intake to the pump. Good idea of checking the gas tank though, wouldn’t have thought of that
So yeah, mistakes were made. But as long as you figure out what you did wrong, it's still a positive. You guys are gonna move some dirt this season!
I was gonna take a "guess" at the weight, but I just watched Wills video, and that might be cheating,... el oh el
Haha yeah, live and learn. This was our first adventure with the dredge and we learned a lot that trip out.
Build in a hopper and capture your gems and agates …
niiiiiice
The second I saw that dredge I was thinking you need to loose about 60% of that mat, so good call there! However I still think you are blowing at least 50% of your gold out of the Sluice! You definitely need an intake box and i would put a 1" grizzly on the intake as well! New equipment is fun just gotta dial it in! All in all great job and hope you find the gold!!
I don't know what to say ... I'm a little disappointed. Hope you get lucky one day. Anyway, spending a day in nature is always good 🙂👍
Yeah, honestly we didn’t even expect this thing to fire up that day, it hadn’t been run in years and we were learning the dredge in this video. We have 4 subsequent videos in the editing stage, make sure you stay tuned to the next video and hopefully that will cure your disappointment. Any day at the creek is a good day, the gold is just a bonus.
What happened to you guy's I have been waiting for your new modifications on the dredge. I hope everything is ok with ya'll. I am heading down your way in two weeks to try out my new gold cube. If you could point me in the right direction of a couple of creeks to try I would greatly appreciate it.
My bad man, work has been busy, new video coming very very soon and it’s a good one. Building suspense lol
Water too slow or sluic box too low
Running it too slow, we have it all dialed in now. Stay tuned for our second outing!
You would probably catch a lot more fine gold if you added 3 more feet to your sluice
Yeah probably, could catch even more if I added 6-10 feet to my sluice lol.
@@X4PROSPECTINGI came to suggest the same, because you definitely have killer flow and suction power...and I think its just not long enough to catch everything yet, but you never know! My thought was either a hinged addition, or bolt on with a reinforcing plate underneath to keep your overall portability up. Fingers crossed all goes great with your further modifications and making it into your Dream Rig! ❤️🫂🙏🤞🤘😍
gold will be 60.00 a gram very soon. 2.46 x S60.00
I really enjoy watching you guys!!! I’m just starting to learn about panning for gold!!
YOU GUYS ARE SO HOT!!!!❤
Good luck out there! I’d suggest starting with paydirt bags and pan into a tub, then go back through the tub to see if you missed any gold. Practice makes perfect!
gold always sits on bedrock
Put on a wet suit and go to work!🤣🤣🤣
I think you need to change your mat ?
Yep we already have

winderful good idea !!
Hey guys, hope you're doing alright? Getting a bit worried cause I'm starting to twitch cause I haven't had my video fix in a while and they're highly addictive! So yeah, just wanted to send some love and make sure everything is alright 💜
For all your time, effort and supplies using a 3-inch dredge that's a horrible ROI !
You have your riffles totally clogged. Your loosing lots of fines.
Are y’all losing any gold by running too fast?
Spend all day, several thousand dollars, collect $10 in gold... Yea, there is a reason no one gets gold other than YTbrs selling episodes and those dinking around for funz. It is fun, done it myself... in good weather... in poor weather utter misery!
