No bro truck please, resto mod. That 500hp we all dream of on a daily tow rig. An ode to what the beast is!
Gen 3 stg3, big ol injectors. Intercooler, intake, regulated return / fass, cnc fab stg 2 for the injectors, trans upgrade. Go back to a leveling kit, stock wheels or good looking aftermarket. New style 7.3 headlights. (Preferably black housings, clear lenses) 6.4 mirrors, 4 inch straight pipe, larger downpipe.
I think just update it a little with some headlights, mirrors, clean it up, and put that new turno/injectors in. It'd be mint.
100%
I love the style it has. OEM plus, nice wheels, tires, nice seats and lights, intake, exhaust and a bit of pep...
The 7.3 is legendary, and nothing looks better then a classic 7.3 that is stock cosmetically. She would look great with some raceline wheels and fresh mirror's. 🍻
Stage 1.5 build.. dimpled pistons, forged rods. Gen3 turbo. While engine is yanked, tanked, and rebuilt. 4” turbo back exhaust, cTS3 tuner with all sensors, aluminum radiator, intercooler, degas tank, 4” lift, 17” rims on 35’s Dana 60 front swap with I beams! Sound system with cameras on all sides, new steering linkage, etc. Full on 2017 front/rear clip and bad ass HID lights. Road armor bumpers with wenches. Make this tank look tough and usable! Maybe an Alison trans swap too??? Just spit ballin but the trans needs to be BEEFY
Definitely in the resto mod camp. It’s what I’ve done with mine. I’m the second owner of mine had it about 15 years now and I disagree with the whatever you do start with a hydra. I say best $400ish I ever spent on mine was the KC balanced assembly. Do that verify no exhaust or boost leaks and tune it later. I recently got the Gen 3 stage 1. Positively love it! I worked on those 7.3s under warranty you guys have done revolutionary things with them. Thank you for giving new life into our immortal workhorses.
Resto mod 2-4 in lift on with 16-18in wheels on 35-37s. With 500hp. Good daily rig
That guy in the beginning giving some serious hawk tuah
he was like "...turbo on that thang, ya mean"
😂😂😂
Ordered a Hydra on Monday from you guys for my van. cant wait to get it installed.
Thats going to make your van feel like a new truck!
Keep it simple and it'll stay reliable, don't take the iconic look away from it either
I've had my 2001 F250 4x4 Platinum Edition truck for 24 years and wouldn't trade it for anything. It's the first Platinum Edition truck Ford made and they only made 5000 of them, it's probably getting very rare to find one.
Agreed! Keep the 7.3 look. Don’t ruin it
Go all out if it’s in ur budget make it a 6.0 killer
6.0 killer would be awesome!!!
Coil swap. I'd say 300/200s but being an '01 you may need to check rods and do 238/80s? Can you take advantage of a gen 3 stage 3 with PMRs? Built trans w/Goerend and a Truetrac. HPOP to match injectors. '08+ mirrors and '05-07 headlights with 7.3 grill and bumper. 5" exhaust sounds best. No huge lift or strerched rubber bands, this is a mans truck 😂
238/100s would be better.
Heck yeah
Honestly if it was me id do a t800 hpop upgraded lpop with oversized hpop reservoir do a fuel bowl delete with a regulated return and a fass or airdog fuel pump or a fuel kit from irate or something basically something that would support big injectors, then id do a full 4 inch exhaust with a t4 kit with a s400 series turbo and a bae headers maybe upgraded oringed heads with a built bottom end and headstuds upgraded connecting rods a stage 1 cam with gapless piston rings and for injectors id do a 250/100 or something you can tame for towing with a hydra and a built transmission maybe a coil spring suspension swap with close to oem height on 33s with a newer set of king ranch seats and a 6.0 front end on it with a set of red goat fabrication bumpers it would be perfect for traveling for fire season
Updated headlight and mirrors and your stage one kit fuel bowl delete and sign me up to win
Stock suspension , Mickey Thompson classic wheels/ bfg ko3 ,new headlights and grill from Same year , cowl induction hood, tinted windows , big exhaust no stack , 238-100’s, gen 3 Kc and the rest of the mods needed to support it including a trans , then sign me up I could use another one lol
200/30s kc stage one, custom tuning, transmission upgrade, 5” exhaust, s&b intake, pillar gauges (period correct for a 7.3), new headlights and grill, and detailed up I would say that’s perfect. I’d do the same to my truck but the high elevation makes me just stick with stock 02 injectors for now :)
Don't you mean 200/80s?
Love it!!
4 1/2" Carli lift
Build to work/tow
compounds?!?
35's that don't stick out...
Good Stereo
Sound deadening/ dynomat
Dynamat on a 7.3 sounds like a great idea! Also the sound system! 🙌🏼
Loved my 7.3 regret getting rid of it
Oh man, i feel that! I sold my 6.0 a wile back for a down payment on a house and it makes me so sad to think about it.
To. The. Moon.
Oh you already know! 💪🏼
Just let Alex go to townnnnnnn
He does know how to build pretty trucks!
👀
Would love to enter for a "working" mans truck, not the usual TH-cam build crap.
In that case, you are really going to like the end result!
Update front to 05-07, alpha rex headlights and some mean after market bumpers
