      I have been using it since version 1. I never had any issues with the first version, but I also use it as a drying aid on my ceramic coated truck. I love the new version though! Use it on my bass boat and it really helps keep the scum off and makes it way easier to wipe off. My favorite thing has always been the insane gloss I got with it on my Truck. My favorite thing is it's ease of use. I spray it directly on the panel and spread it with a damp microfiber then buff to a shine with a second clean dry mf. Just my experience! Thanks for showcasing it!

      Also for some real craziness, try a base layer of seal-n-shine with TLC as the topper! You will be pretty surprised I think!

      I thoroughly enjoy The Last Coat 2.0. I tried the first version, and the it was okay, but the longevity wasn't there. I sent it back for a full refund and the company told me they had a new formula in the works. The new stuff impressed me with the gloss and slickness.
      Thanks for taking the time to do this! I know myself and several others as I've seen in your comments have requested this. I also appreciate including the heat test. It can simulate or brutal Texas heat.

    Been using TLC2 for about 4 months now on a few cars, I’ll be buying more in the future.
    Reason why I enjoy this product is the ease of use during the application, the gloss and slickness I find is better then
    TW S&S ...
    only downside is the cost , if you can pick it up on sale or with a coupon code then go for it, don’t pay full retail !

    I just received this product yesterday and applied it this morning. It was very easy. I purchased some of the microfiber cloths as well. I dampened the towel with some of the product and a very sparing mist over a section of the car at a time. I did it in my garage and the temp was pretty cool (maybe 45 degrees). I don't think doing this outside in a warm Sun is a good idea. It really didn't take more than 20 minutes to complete the entire car. My car, although it is used (2019 Stinger RED) it looks amazing. I did the windows as well. I am glad I got it.

    I recently bought a brand new 2020 Mercedes GLE 450 SUV. Red. I went to car wash yesterday and went home to put the Last Coat on. It made car look like day I picked it up. My biggest praise is the fact that it seems so slick it is repelling dust. Within a few hours, i would typically get a lot of dust on my car. This has not. So, I am quite happy with this product.

    I’ve applied TLC (updated version) a couple of times (I detail my Land Cruiser every two weeks and apply “protection” each time. TLC is easy to use in shade or sun, but don’t let it dry before buffing or it takes some effort to remove. Otherwise, great product.

    I've purchased a few TLC products so far and I like all of them. The soap is great. I started with TLC 1 and I really liked it. TLC 2 was even better except for the longer time before you could get it wet. I love TLC 2 on my wife's Pearl White Santa Fe. The car is basically waterproof. However, while it was nice on my 17 Black Silverado (10k miles at the time with 90% perfect paint) I didn't like the water beading and etching. While it gave a mirror shine, the paint looked "cold" to me. I like a warmer look of wax but that is my taste. Many people love TLC2 and I'll buy it again for my uses when I need it for sure. I haven't seen this covered anywhere but I LOVE TLC 1 used on my tri-fold bed cover for my Silverado. It seems the older version is much nicer for that and also for interior surfaces. I love that either TLC version is awesome on glass, chrome and bumpers. On wheels it looks nice but it didn't last too long on the wheels which I assume is due from the heat. The only thing I can't get it to do anything on are the sidewalls of the tires but it's not made for that. Their Amp diluted is a game changing glass cleaner too. Thanks for the review. TLC is awesome in my book.

    I used Ver 1 of TLC it did not last more than a few weeks. I should have sent it back! (And Im a prep fanatic)
    Just did 2) daily drivers with TW hybrid ceramic. Waaaay better application and removal than TLC ver 1. No blotches or streaks to fight during removal. Honestly the best spray sealant Ive used to date at 1/2 the price of the others. Even based on your test of TLC ver 2 I still have to lean toward TW. Glad to see TLC improved ver 2! Ive discarded my ver 1 left over product... Thx Brian Ive this is the exact test I wanted to see!

    I have it and use it.. I think it is expensive..BUT it is very easy to apply(much easier than S&S) I have both and find myself reaching for TLC2. Durability is pretty comparable to S&S which is terrific. The shine and slickness are terrific and one thing I noticed being the OCD car detail person I am.. is that TLC2 seemed to have a better self cleaning effect on my wifes Denali. It stayed cleaner for much longer compared anything else I have. All that said .. is it worth being 3x more expensive.. not sure.

    • @soapa4279
      @soapa4279 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's some good insight. I think that's why SNS was such a big hit, is the price. If SNS was $30, it wouldn't have exploded as much as it has.

    • @TheAverageJoeX
      @TheAverageJoeX 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same experience and comparison here. I have both on the hood of my wife's daily driver. TLC2 has wayyy better self cleaning properties and has retained its slickness longer than SS. This ride is driven and parked outside daily in TX heat, and I wash weekly.
      I still us SS around the house and on other cars I may wash.

    • @firmbiz94
      @firmbiz94 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@soapa4279 you are probrably right. Truth is I have several bottles of S&S.. but like I said.. I always reach for TLC2.. if I was in my younger broke years Im going for that Seal and Shine..but nowadays ease of use is worth some of that cost. I wish TLC2 was like 25 bucks or so. The self cleaning effect is pretty substantial and noticeable..

    I was given a used bottle of this 2nd version. I put it on my wife's white Outback. I let it cure for 24 hrs, drove a short distance after and let it sit in the garage. In my opinion the slickness disappears rather quickly? I did buy a bottle of their Amp detailing spray and when used it brings everything back. During a recent rain storm the water slid right off and no water spots. After washing with TW Ice Snow foam and using the Amp, the gloss and sickness returned. I think it's OK but for the price there are equals for a far better price. Just my two cents.....

  • @XxVendetaxX1

    Hey Brian, so I agree 100%. The first formula was trash and I felt cheated because the bottles would leak and it didn't last past 2 weeks, I was recommended them by Pan, not going to get into that. Then I told them about my problems with the two bottles I bought and they were cool enough to send me two new bottles of the new formula for free and told me to keep the old ones.
    Despite being very cool and very helpful, I thought it was very unprofessional how they went to other TH-cam channels who made videos not liking the product and pushed very hard and kind of fought back against their judgement and were telling them they were wrong about the product, in my opinion very unprofessional and childish. This basically happened with Jimbo's video on their first version. I remember the drama from that.

    • @brianvega5029
      @brianvega5029 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just so you know, Jimbo tested TLC2 and pinned TLC's comment in that video to set the record straight that they never threatened him or forced the video down (th-cam.com/video/NQ2mXKr8Wg0/w-d-xo.html). In fact, in Jimbo's recent ADP video he says that he now carries TLC2 in his truck to use on customer's cars (th-cam.com/video/jfwjH9-GJSo/w-d-xo.html).

    • @petersherwin1802
      @petersherwin1802 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could absolutely use this without preparing the surface (fallout remover, clay bar, polish etc), however this, and most other SiO2 based products need a clean base to attach to molecularly.
      If you don't have a fully clayed and prepared surface you can still apply TLC v2 and it will still do everything you saw in the video, apart from the durability which will not be 6 months.
      For me, I already have a ceramic coating on my car and I used TLC v2 as a topper, and it looks amazing and is working very well repelling both rain and road grime.

    I can buy 1 gal. of BeadMaker (8 bottles) for the same price as 1 bottle of TLC. I know the Beadmaker has a shorter lifetime than TLC, but I use it every month so it doesn't matter much.
    You really hurt me on your comments on Torque Detail. My 11-month old RAV-4 still looks like new, with good gloss while using Torque Detail. Of course, I use it often. Maybe it doesn't stand up to your torture tests, but it works well in North Texas. It's just the price...

      I’ve used both TW SnS and TLC2. IMO, TW SnS is far superior in durability and beading. Shine and gloss of both is about equal. TW SnS wins hands down since it’s 1/4 the price.
