It was okay for day-to-day use but it can't protect me from the harsh sunlight of Ladakh during a trip last summer.

Maybe u have sensitive skin or it can be because of other reasons. But if this doesn't suit you stop using it.
You should go for aroma magic cucumber that is for normal to sensitive skin type

In every sunscreen there is a little white cast, but you can reduce it if you apply it properly
