That's exactly what I did with my mk4 st had it for 3 years then put the mountune 330 on feels like a new car again cracking video again look forward to the winter videos cleaning and looking after your RS 👍👍
I did mine to 375 last year, it totally wakes up the RS , there is no need for more tbh, it bangs, spits, and roars and brings a huge smile to me every time I nail it too. …these are the new cosworths, buy one before you can’t 👌👌👌🍺
The excitement, the adrenaline rush, the thrill and the sweaty parms I 100% get!! There is nothing better on this earth than going for a thrash on a B road! When you get back do you tap the top of the dash and say quite loudly what a machine!! Or is that just me? 🙈

Gary. The sill ends on my mk7 Fiesta ST also in white were rusting and its a 2016. Its a reasonably easy fix. Wheel off, arch lining out, surface rust off with a small wire wheel grinder and then primer finished with raptor 2 pack paint. Itll never rust again!!!!

I know exactly how you feel. I had my 2014 MK7 Fiesta ST as stock for a year before I had the MP215 upgrade. Then it was 7 or 8 years before I took it to FJRS to go to M285. That was a substantial uplift in performance. And then earlier this year I went back to Braintree to have the MP310 upgrade installed. Now the car feels incredible to drive, almost like the missing Fiesta RS. I completely agree with you about the smooth linear feel of Mountune maps. They just feel like the OE Ford map but turned up to 11 :-)
@@CarFocused - It is indeed. A standard MK2 Focus RS puts out 205 BHP per ton whereas an M375 MK2 Focus produces 255 BHP per ton. A MK7 Fiesta ST with the M310 upgrade is making 285 BHP per ton at 6000 RPM. And you can certainly notice it :-)

@@CarFocused ive also heard that mate yes before i had my one done by Sabre i had them rolling road it i had changed the intercooler to a stage 2 airtec one instead of the Mountune intercooler i had on there and MR375 made 387bhp ! I certainly am still enjoying it along side the M2C and the Cossie 😁

I found exact same thing moving from mp350 to mr375 and had the same overrun thing. Wish I had done it sooner. I also found the average fuel consumption improved . Unless you drive like you stole it. One of the best all round maps for the mk2
Having just had the mk4 focus st m390 upgrade by Mountune's HQ .my experience is exactly the same . From 3500 rpm ish to red line the power just holds up in 3/4/5/6 to the red line yet low down drives normal round town untill I hit 3/4000 rpm. The only time I've been in a mk2 rs was years ago when my mate had a brand new green one and it turned heads and I still think the mk2 looks awsome. Sadly my mate wrote is off .
Yes mountune have always made their maps feel pretty OEM, which is a good thing! I’ve driven quite a few tuned cars and some are mapped to be quite ferocious - which is fun but can be a bit unpredictable. This one is perfect 👌🏻
Superb, hope you enjoy it once it's awoken from it's hibernation.. do you think it will use abit more fuel with the 6 bar pump? A friend's RS is better on fuel than his old ST , so he says
A few years back I went for a 15k Audi s3 8p from the dealership and one of these was 2.5k more but I just didn’t have the extra 2.5k always wondered what the RS would of been like to have owned at that time
Yes I do. Gets a good clean, goes on a trickle charger (CTEK) and gets covered up with my indoor car cover. It’s sat on foam tiles from Halfords with square pieces of carpet under each wheel. If I do start it I’ll run it right up to temp the rev all the condensation out of the exhaust before turning it off again.
You would be surprised with them bmw 330 e touring taking you mine is special but I’m actually viewing 2 r/s this week one is at 414 hp and the other is 520 but £41 k bloody ell but it’s special.

Not turbo lag, more reactive throttle mapping. You have to pin the throttle now now to get full power which makes for a smoother drive - it’s more of a ‘you get what you put in’ feel now. Whereas before it would take off like a slapped cat with minimal throttle application which was a bit unnatural in feel.

Having owned a couple of VAG cars mate the RS is a far more raw, exciting experience. Just a great overall package in terms of how it makes you feel 😊
To upgrade to anymore power, 4 wheel drive would be needed. If you did that, not a lot on the road, would touch you fella. Nice RS bro 👊🏻👊🏻

They don’t really do much with the RS mate - they were always mainly ST tuners in terms of the Mk2.

Has the software raised the rev limiter?
In all honesty I’m not 100% sure, but I don’t think so. It’s around 7k ish atm.
Mine went over 7k, the words of Leighton from sabre that mapped mine were 'don't be afraid to rev it to 7k+ they love it'😂😂😂
