Well, only 3 teams have been completed so far. I have 10 member MMPR team, and will soon have complete Zeo when my Kat 2 pack comes in. In Space, I would have complete but Silver Ranger sold out in 5 minutes, but I at least got Phantom Ranger and everyone else. We only need Elizabeth'Z'Delgado Yellow to complete SPD although Orange Kat Manx would be Awesome!
Use boiled water for figure customization, it's much better for chest and belt removals and doesn't warp the plastic. I know the feeling about the MMPR Green mate. My solution was as follows. First I got an extra fighting spirit MMPR Green to use as a body base because he has diamonds on his chest, I then swapped the belts over so it was the correct gold morpher with a black dagger holster on the left hand side of the belt. To fix the white lining around his visor, I used paint remover to remove the Silver stripe from the FS green helmet, I then repainted the red diamond onto the helmet and the "correct" look is completed. I used this method to also make the no Shield mmpr Green and no Shield/no armbands MMPR Green, using an extra Zeo Green for the no armband arms. I have made 2 other versions of MMPR Green but they're not as well known so I won't include them here.
Is it bad that I perfer the silver stripe version in the show because it adds more depth to his helmet and it makes Tommy seem like more of an outcast like he was originally because the helmet looks different to the others
Not at all. I too like the silver-striped Green Ranger helmet. Given that Tommy's green helmet is visually similar to Jason's Red one, it helps Tommy stand apart that little bit more.
There's a lot to love but I'm a bit more of a casual collector so a few of the smaller flaws don't bug me as much but there area some things that drive me nuts. It's nice to finally have one complete team which I think that leaves 4 or 5 other teams that I want to try to complete before calling it.
I almost have the full team. Blue, black, green, white. Pink and yellow are preordered. All I need is red but it's too expensive for me. Hopefully a rerelease becomes imminent
They need to include all the accessories and up the quality control. I'm tired of them forcing duplicate buys. I haven't bought any, and I don't intend too if I can help it. I shouldn't be nervous ordering the figures online because I can't really find them in stores around me.
I would sure like to get another set of Fighting Spirit Green and Standard release green. Just so I can customise 1 proper Shield-less Green. And the free shield will go to Bridge, for a JJ Oliver Custom.

Good show, as always, Ryan. I'm not at home to check at the moment, but I'm sure I've got some paint defects. My philosophy on it is I've been waiting for years for a line like the Lightning Collection. I know they can do a better job on the details, but for only $20 (sorry I don't know how much y'all pay) even if it is a lot, I can't expect much better. By the time I buy enough to make a perfect replication, I'd have spent enough money to buy an SH Figuarts on the aftermarket. I don't have the patience or motor skills to customize them myself, but that would be what I would do if I needed them to be perfect.
Shoutouts to other Lightning Collection beginners out there trying to find a decently priced Green Ranger after JDF’s passing. 😐 EDIT: Thank God for the Remastered line. Almost a year later and I got all but Jason and Tommy who should be here by the end of the week.
RE: Jason's Power Sword - I've had the black paint from the hilt as well as the silver on one side of the blade start disappearing on mine (though thankfully, not whenever it has been held in the figures' hands. I've started clear-coating the hands of the figures, as well as the weapons, specifically to prevent - or at least minimise - paint rub). I've already painted most of the finer details, such as the diamond pattern and the round jewels at the base of the crossguard, and plan to repaint the affected areas (and hopefully fill on the pattern on the blade while I'm at it) once my next set of Gundam Marker's arrives. RE: "One or two at a time". I feel so bad for anyone trying to collect the Time Force Rangers. One of my friends is collecting only the MMPR for nostalgia reasons, and the Time Force Rangers because he loves the suit design, and poor Wes is still on his lonesome after all this time. Can't beleive it's been nearly 3 years since that initial announcement. Gosh, how time flies.
Got the ones I wanted, happy with them. Thinking about selling most of them since I like Ryusoulger/Dino Fury way more then MMPR if they ever get the LC treatment.
I think the Pink Ranger's legs are a result of the way it is packaged. I recently got an SDCC Jason 2 pack and one of the Red Ranger's legs is slightly bent at the knee. The Metallic Armor Pink Ranger isn't nearly as bad. Hopefully, the Pink Ranger that comes with Zeo Pink will not have this problem. As for Green Ranger (my favorite Ranger), I just stuck with the Fighting Spirit version. The changes to the costume don't bother me as much. And looking at it on my shelf for a year before getting the Wave 7 version really made me love it more.
Just discovered your channel. Great overview, not just of the figures but the experience of collecting them too. It mirrors my experience with Marvel Legends completely, from buying two lots of the same wave at times or the same figure of a character that is important to me, in order to improve the chance of getting one with a good paint job to even having to part swap from multiple purchases to get a satisfactory figure. Poor paint application is a constant issue over Hasbro's figure lines that has left me dreading opening them on arrival rather than looking forward to it. They are collectibles so they should not have as many or as prominent paint issues as they do that make them look cheap and flawed, especially when they have such little paint on them to begin with and corners should not be cut if it affects accuracy or consistency.
These figures are stupid good. The boom studios comics are stupid good. Who knew that my obsession as a 4yr old would carry over into my late 20s and be supported by big ass companies. What a time to be alive.
Nice review. Hopefully we will get rerelease of these figured because I missed out on the first few members of the team because I never saw them in store. Was able to find red ranger is up for preorder on Bigbadtoystore. Hopefully we'll get the others again down the line.
Nice video. Got a thumbs up and sub from me. For me, the paint defects and the less accurate helmets have never worries me. I buy online and take what I get and lucky have mostly been ok other than 1 on a beast morphers figure. I’m now 4 figures away from the entire collection and love them! 100% a grab while you can rather than wait to find. Those prices sky rocket crazy!! 😬😂 looking forward to the next video!
Bro! Totally spot on. Exactly how I feel. I’m hopping Super 7 does MmPR justice. The Zords and monsters look amazing. Just a little nervous about Ranger articulation. You know what else sucks with lightning. I really like the box arts. So I like to display the boxes of the teams together in a profile. MMPR all have single releases (minus Rita) so that’s cool. But Zeo and in space have half of the characters in 2 packs so they won’t display well with the single release boxes. Minor and a little bit picky I know, but that’s something that really bums me out.
This video was crazily well made and great quality, very Informative, I like the fact these figs come with decent head sculpts and energy effects but I still think the Sh figuarts are the best power rangers figures around , I wish they would re issue
Nice review, I was not aware there were so many flaws (mine are still in the box) Over here I started with red - then It took a long time before I got yellow-blue-white together - then green sepperate and black sepprate. All normal prices. but not so consistant in the buying pattern. Also had to get them from the Netherlands (Im from Belgium) Now I pre-orderd the pink on the second wave and glad that happend because the prices were insane imo. A full teal is most wanted with these
Hasbro is out for the long haul with MMPR. Theyre just now getting to metallic from Season 3, and we're gonna have the alternate season 2/3 versions of most of the team. Lets be real, we're all waiting for the Movie suits. Im actually really glad I got the entire sh figuarts set back when they came out over here. Still the best version of the MMPR team imo.
The poseability of the figures in this line is pretty good for their prices. Wish they upped the QC, as it can sometimes be horrendous, especially with Dino Thunder White. Still haven't found a one in stores with a satisfying paint app.
I thought I'd only do Might Morphin' but now I'm working on completing Zeo, In Space, Dino Thunder and Forever Red. I'll likely stop after that though, since I haven't actually watched any of the other series aside from huge crossovers like Once a Ranger or whenever Tommy showed up on Megaforce and Ninja Steel.
I think one of the missed opportunities, was doing a zord builder/Transformers style Zords. They started it and then we never got any more. The figures look great, but it's so hard to find the money and with them not being so readily available makes it difficult to acquire them.
I wonder if we'll be able to get Zeo Yellow and Pink or In Space Silver and Pink delivered first! One thing's for sure...Rocky's Tonfas are a way off yet.
Something you could do with one of those extra Wave 7 Green Rangers is take the shields is give it to a Green SPD Ranger to make Tommy's son JJ from the Comics.
Maybe they'll release a full team of the evil mmpr rangers with cheesy outfits and black boots as a set. Also, those with extra base mmpr figs, could use the pumpkin rapper pumpkin heads on them. Fortunately, places like gamestop have had the villains cheaper than other places and occassionally also have them as a part of additional %off promotions.

It's crazy that Kat will have 3 different head sculpts. One with Metallic Armor, one with Regular MMPR and one with Zeo Pink. Who knows? Maybe we will get a 4th with Turbo Pink.
I got the armored Black Ranger so I could kitbash a mobile Legend Night Thrasher and now I collected the whole Mighty Morphin Power Rangers because I watched it when I was in high school
I was originally hyped for this line of figure. Got the white ranger day one and he had 2 left arms and from that day forward I knew I was in for a s**t show. The rest of the line had numerous paint issues. Most share the same moulds yet they skimped on the paints. Once I got the main MMPR team I walked away from the line.
So far I have A Version of each of the mighty morphin rangers, and I haven’t experienced a lot of issues with QC concerns. I do see some issues but it’s been acceptable thus far in my own personal experience. Guess I’ve been lucky
I only have a few of them. In my area they first 2 waves were easy to find. After that stores would get maybe 1 shipment of each following wave and they were gone in no time. Sorry about your luck if you didn't have the money. Good luck with getting them on eBay for a fair price. Best thing thats came from this line is the monsters even though they are over priced. I just picked them both up this week because my local Target had then clearance down to $15.
I have started to collect Power Rangers Lightning Collection Mighty Morphin' so far I have original blue ranger and the white ranger. So I choose to buy the rest one at the time. Also I chose to unbox them one at the time. I can use them for photography and animation.
Me personally I was only interested in collecting villains lord Zedd and Goldar were pretty cool. Now I find myself collecting the seasons that I grew up on. 1-7 I wanted to only collect lightning collection villains but now I'm collecting villains and the teams so far I have Mighty Morphin complete next is Zeo and I'm on my way to completing in space. If you ask me I get pretty annoyed with the consistent mess ups and paint jobs that suck but otherwise it is what it is I'm still collecting hopefully in the future I'll be able to sell these off when the lightning collection turns 25 or 30.
The way I see it, PR is definitely on the bottom rung of Hasbro's priorities when it comes to quality control. It's like the manufacturers spend all week doing Marvel, Star Wars, Transformers and GI Joe, and PR is left until the Friday afternoon when everyone clocks off early.

I just paused the video at the green ranger section. Mate, I know exactly what you mean with the QC issues with green. My issue was that there was a hole under the chin, I ask hasbro service for a replacement and recieved the same response as you had, I bought a second one and sadly had the same issue. I've seen a few without this issue, but it seems common?
I'm missing the regular Green Ranger but I have the fighting spirit Green Ranger. The rest of the MMPR main line rangers I have which is great. I got a good amount of the other lightning figures too. I'm looking forward to some of the later releases.

Hey Ryan did you know it is possible to make the Thunder tigerzord. Just remove the mega Tigerzord face plate be careful with removing the retaining pins. Then the thunderzord helmet will fit. Place the face plate on the right fist. Now he has a fist plate.
I know I am two years late. I am a new collector legit just starting to collect them starting with the MMPR figures and god I wish I had just waited. They came out with the remasters of the Black, yellow and pink ranger, and I bought the older versions of the three, along with the older version of the Red ranger, Remastered Blue, Another red ranger with the dragon shield, and the green ranger remaster without the shield. Part of me wishes I had just gone with the remasters. Sure they are more expensive but you get morphers and some nice heads. sooo big oof.
About to start collecting. I just want Orginal rangers, orginal villians, and new comic characters. Really like legacy look more but there seems to be little additions to the line. Do you forsee them adding zedd or anything else from mmpr to the legacy line?
I have the full team in: 8-inch, fliphead, PVC, Heroes Series 3, bike figures, MMPR 2010 4-inch, MMPR 2010 2-inch, Legacy 5-inch, Legacy 8-inch, Figuarts, Ace Toyz, Fisher Price, Lightning, preordered ThreeZero, and I'm sure I'm missing something. Ultimately, these figures are solid, but not my favourite. They lack the quality of the figuarts/Ace Toyz, the fun/nostalgia of the older toys, and the statuesque of the Legacy. Not the worst figures, but they're sort of middle of the road. Honestly though, if you're only going to get one set, being middle of the road makes these the best.
Dude, yes, so right on the quality control. I think on paper these figures are good value. Hasbro makes well articulated figures that are almost as good as imports. And their Lightning Collection line in particular comes with a lot of accessories for the money. But the quality control is laughable. There basically is none. I also play the game of ordering 3+ figures then mix and match parts/accessories to get a decent version.
i agree with almost every single point you made. my only counterpoint is the energy effect pieces. Kimberly’s Energy Arrow Tommy’s Green Static and Zack’s Blast Beam are the DO’s when it comes to energy effects, because they actually look great, and make sense with their weapons. but... Tommy’s, and Trini’s spark effects make no sense, and look clunky all together. You’re better off not using them at all. but, that’s just my personal take.
That's not an error. Hasbro knows they can rerelease another version in a few sets with the diamond chest and new head and FINALLY have it correct and people will buy it up.
@Dylan Sharp what's confusing about what I said? New civilian head. Correct chest diamond paint. There will be another release of Green before too long. They're up to 4 for pink (5 with Ranger Slayer), 3 yellow, and 2 of the others coming out this year.
So far, I have Tommy (White), Kim, & Trini. I do hope that there's a reissue of Billy in regular Blue but with that season 2&3 head, that looks more like him than that Bill Gates lookin' season 1 head. Hardly ever saw either version of Zack, so a regular version of Adam is needed here. I missed out on Jason, hopefully there's a regular Red Ranger Rocky is coming. Tommy (Green) is too much hassle for all the ways Hasbro screwed up (ditto for Trent from Dinothunder). And while it's annoying that the regular Yellow version of Aisha is in a two-pack, I DO want that Scorpina...now I'm also gonna have to pay the "late tax" to get a Goldar. So...I need: Rocky, Adam, Billy, & Aisha. Speaking of the "late tax", I'm gonna have to do that to finish up my Legacy Collection Zeo team...I got Jason, Rocky, & Adam, but missed Tommy (never saw in stores), Kat, & Tanya (saw them shelfwarming like mad, but whenever I had money, they were mysteriously absent until I was broke again). Might be easier than tryna finish the Lightning Collection version...I don't like Hasbro's mentality of all these two-packs & exclusives. Makes it hard to get what you really want, especially since their distribution is as abysmal as Bandai America's was (and stores tend to have crummy ordering practices).
The only QA issue I've had so far is my Red Ranger came with his entire mouth section left unpainted. Luckily I have gundam markers and it looks fine once I painted it in, but I did laugh how such a big error got through the checks at the factory.
Paint is the biggest issue with these. When you look at them in stores, every one of them has something wrong. Having the Power Blaster would be nice, but I don't feel compelled to buy them all right now. I hope (and believe they probably will) release the original team as a box set at some point, which is really what they should be doing for every season a few years after the initial release. That's just good business.
These are the best Power Rangers figures so far. They are far more detailed and come with more weapons and other effects than any previos versions of Power Rangers toys. Having said that, there are improvements that could be made with quality control and team consistency.
I really like the line but I’m not picking up the mmpr line because I just prefer other seasons and I prioritize them knowing they’ll probably get rereleased

When I got Wave 7 Green I painted the helmet and got another Fighting Spirit Green to swap torsos, but the Dragon Shields on both of them have the same misalignment so until I find one without that flaw I'm kind of stuck. I love the Lightning Collection but it's things like that and what you mentioned that make it infuriating sometimes.

just skip them, I sold mine and am happy with my SHF. Much better quality without double purchases. although after market price could be steep but I love them

The one I have trouble getting a hold of is the green ranger as everyone on eBay has them so so expensive and living on a budget it’s really hard to get my hands on and plus a blue ranger as well it’s hard for me to get my hands ahold of sadly 😢
I have 3 green rangers and I didn't mean to own 3. I saw a spectrum box bought it then I found out I couldn't cancel a preorder. Also I don't care about small tiny details, if I have the team. I have the team.
I like the base figures but the qc issues between releases is a big oof for us collectors. Like I'm just now getting a green ranger tommy online after not being able to find him specifically in store. I definitely think they could better about stocking distribution
I've had so many issues with quality with the lightning collection line. I bought the Rita and Zedd 2 pack and was really happy with the Zedd figure but ended up having to return it because the Rita figure had two right arms. It had the right hands but you couldn't bend the arm in the correct way. Then I bought the Psycho Ranger pack and the yellow one was just ruined. The head bobbles and the one of the arms are loose. Other then that I've just been mixed on them. On one hand I like them because I just like how they look but the quality is all over the place and their money grabbing schemes just piss me off some times. Really wanted to complete the In Space line but I hate having to buy a two pack just to get TJ. Same goes for the Zeo line. Oh well I guess.
I always seem to get a rubbish paint figure or my best one was I ordered the mmpr green and it had no sword of darkness in it now have to wait to possibly end of August or later to get a replacement
I was bummed when I got my green ranger and saw that the diamond pattern wasn’t on his chest and the printing on his boot was terrible. My black ranger’s morpher wasn’t even painted gold in the right spot. Kinda irritating but it’ll be alright.
companies like super 7 are making hasbro look really really bad... their figures are like a nice sweet spot between the hasbro/bandai and something like the threezero figures. you get so much for the money and the accessories are very detailed
The Quality is just not there for me so I stopped. I've ordered the Super 7 Ultimate Wave 1 figs. Yes they're twice the price of hasbros but the number of accessories you get (blade Blaster in all three forms), heads for both the original and replacement Ranger in the same box and most likely much better quality control.
I feel these figures are fine, probably some of the best Mighty Morphin figures we’ve gotten. I’m mainly planning on completing Zeo, Samurai, Megaforce and Ninja Steel lighting line just because their original figures are a bit short. I do feel the line improving in quality.

RE: "One or two at a time". I feel so bad for anyone trying to collect the Time Force Rangers. One of my friends is collecting only the MMPR for nostalgia reasons, and the Time Force Rangers because he loves the suit design, and poor Wes is still on his lonesome after all this time.

I think the Pink Ranger's legs are a result of the way it is packaged. I recently got an SDCC Jason 2 pack and one of the Red Ranger's legs is slightly bent at the knee. The Metallic Armor Pink Ranger isn't nearly as bad. Hopefully, the Pink Ranger that comes with Zeo Pink will not have this problem.
As for Green Ranger (my favorite Ranger), I just stuck with the Fighting Spirit version. The changes to the costume don't bother me as much. And looking at it on my shelf for a year before getting the Wave 7 version really made me love it more.
Just discovered your channel. Great overview, not just of the figures but the experience of collecting them too. It mirrors my experience with Marvel Legends completely, from buying two lots of the same wave at times or the same figure of a character that is important to me, in order to improve the chance of getting one with a good paint job to even having to part swap from multiple purchases to get a satisfactory figure. Poor paint application is a constant issue over Hasbro's figure lines that has left me dreading opening them on arrival rather than looking forward to it. They are collectibles so they should not have as many or as prominent paint issues as they do that make them look cheap and flawed, especially when they have such little paint on them to begin with and corners should not be cut if it affects accuracy or consistency.
These figures are stupid good. The boom studios comics are stupid good. Who knew that my obsession as a 4yr old would carry over into my late 20s and be supported by big ass companies. What a time to be alive.
Nice review. Hopefully we will get rerelease of these figured because I missed out on the first few members of the team because I never saw them in store. Was able to find red ranger is up for preorder on Bigbadtoystore. Hopefully we'll get the others again down the line.

Nice video. Got a thumbs up and sub from me. For me, the paint defects and the less accurate helmets have never worries me. I buy online and take what I get and lucky have mostly been ok other than 1 on a beast morphers figure. I’m now 4 figures away from the entire collection and love them! 100% a grab while you can rather than wait to find. Those prices sky rocket crazy!! 😬😂 looking forward to the next video!
Bro! Totally spot on. Exactly how I feel. I’m hopping Super 7 does MmPR justice. The Zords and monsters look amazing. Just a little nervous about Ranger articulation.
You know what else sucks with lightning. I really like the box arts. So I like to display the boxes of the teams together in a profile. MMPR all have single releases (minus Rita) so that’s cool. But Zeo and in space have half of the characters in 2 packs so they won’t display well with the single release boxes. Minor and a little bit picky I know, but that’s something that really bums me out.
I know, I feel the same about the box inconsistency
I hate having to buy those 2packs in order to get the figures I want such as Zeo Pink, SPD blue, Space Red, hate so much that tactic.
I look at your Green Ranger, then I look at my SPD Red missing his shoulder badge entirely and I just don't feel like bothering with Hasbro anymore.
This video was crazily well made and great quality, very Informative, I like the fact these figs come with decent head sculpts and energy effects but I still think the Sh figuarts are the best power rangers figures around , I wish they would re issue

Over here I started with red - then It took a long time before I got yellow-blue-white together - then green sepperate and black sepprate.
All normal prices. but not so consistant in the buying pattern. Also had to get them from the Netherlands (Im from Belgium)
Now I pre-orderd the pink on the second wave and glad that happend because the prices were insane imo.

Hasbro is out for the long haul with MMPR. Theyre just now getting to metallic from Season 3, and we're gonna have the alternate season 2/3 versions of most of the team. Lets be real, we're all waiting for the Movie suits.
Im actually really glad I got the entire sh figuarts set back when they came out over here. Still the best version of the MMPR team imo.
The poseability of the figures in this line is pretty good for their prices. Wish they upped the QC, as it can sometimes be horrendous, especially with Dino Thunder White. Still haven't found a one in stores with a satisfying paint app.

I thought I'd only do Might Morphin' but now I'm working on completing Zeo, In Space, Dino Thunder and Forever Red. I'll likely stop after that though, since I haven't actually watched any of the other series aside from huge crossovers like Once a Ranger or whenever Tommy showed up on Megaforce and Ninja Steel.
I think one of the missed opportunities, was doing a zord builder/Transformers style Zords. They started it and then we never got any more.
The figures look great, but it's so hard to find the money and with them not being so readily available makes it difficult to acquire them.

Zeo is now done as well. Tanya the yellow ranger was finally released in wave 10.
I wonder if we'll be able to get Zeo Yellow and Pink or In Space Silver and Pink delivered first! One thing's for sure...Rocky's Tonfas are a way off yet.

Something you could do with one of those extra Wave 7 Green Rangers is take the shields is give it to a Green SPD Ranger to make Tommy's son JJ from the Comics.
Maybe they'll release a full team of the evil mmpr rangers with cheesy outfits and black boots as a set.
Also, those with extra base mmpr figs, could use the pumpkin rapper pumpkin heads on them. Fortunately, places like gamestop have had the villains cheaper than other places and occassionally also have them as a part of additional %off promotions.
Not gonna lie i could listen to you talk all day. Also I have the gold Beast morpher ranger. My only power rangers figure hahaha. I hope to get the spd red ranger at a local store when i can afford it and if it's not sold by then
It's crazy that Kat will have 3 different head sculpts. One with Metallic Armor, one with Regular MMPR and one with Zeo Pink. Who knows? Maybe we will get a 4th with Turbo Pink.
After market has been $6 more than usual. I did get lucky and win a few low bids and they had to ship out, great gain for me.

I got the armored Black Ranger so I could kitbash a mobile Legend Night Thrasher and now I collected the whole Mighty Morphin Power Rangers because I watched it when I was in high school
I was originally hyped for this line of figure. Got the white ranger day one and he had 2 left arms and from that day forward I knew I was in for a s**t show. The rest of the line had numerous paint issues. Most share the same moulds yet they skimped on the paints. Once I got the main MMPR team I walked away from the line.

So far I have A Version of each of the mighty morphin rangers, and I haven’t experienced a lot of issues with QC concerns. I do see some issues but it’s been acceptable thus far in my own personal experience. Guess I’ve been lucky
I've never bothered to collect any lightning collection stuff, but I am seriously considering buying the super7 power rangers figures.
I hope they reveal the samurai power rangers soon. Those were my favorite ones growing up
I only have a few of them. In my area they first 2 waves were easy to find. After that stores would get maybe 1 shipment of each following wave and they were gone in no time. Sorry about your luck if you didn't have the money. Good luck with getting them on eBay for a fair price. Best thing thats came from this line is the monsters even though they are over priced. I just picked them both up this week because my local Target had then clearance down to $15.

I have started to collect Power Rangers Lightning Collection Mighty Morphin' so far I have original blue ranger and the white ranger. So I choose to buy the rest one at the time. Also I chose to unbox them one at the time.
I can use them for photography and animation.
Me personally I was only interested in collecting villains lord Zedd and Goldar were pretty cool. Now I find myself collecting the seasons that I grew up on. 1-7 I wanted to only collect lightning collection villains but now I'm collecting villains and the teams so far I have Mighty Morphin complete next is Zeo and I'm on my way to completing in space.
If you ask me I get pretty annoyed with the consistent mess ups and paint jobs that suck but otherwise it is what it is I'm still collecting hopefully in the future I'll be able to sell these off when the lightning collection turns 25 or 30.
The way I see it, PR is definitely on the bottom rung of Hasbro's priorities when it comes to quality control. It's like the manufacturers spend all week doing Marvel, Star Wars, Transformers and GI Joe, and PR is left until the Friday afternoon when everyone clocks off early.

I just paused the video at the green ranger section. Mate, I know exactly what you mean with the QC issues with green. My issue was that there was a hole under the chin, I ask hasbro service for a replacement and recieved the same response as you had, I bought a second one and sadly had the same issue. I've seen a few without this issue, but it seems common?
I'm missing the regular Green Ranger but I have the fighting spirit Green Ranger. The rest of the MMPR main line rangers I have which is great. I got a good amount of the other lightning figures too. I'm looking forward to some of the later releases.
Well, I have, or have on order, 3 complete teams, MMPR, Zeo, and In Space. Well, waiting on Silver. All we need to complete SPD is Elizabeth 'Z' Delgado, although would LOVE an Orange Kat Manx too! Dino Thunder and Lost Galaxy are about half done. Hopefully I will soon have 9 MMPR. I'm getting Kat and Aisha because they are 2 packs, but I am not getting the other 'replacement' Rangers.

Hey Ryan did you know it is possible to make the Thunder tigerzord. Just remove the mega Tigerzord face plate be careful with removing the retaining pins. Then the thunderzord helmet will fit. Place the face plate on the right fist. Now he has a fist plate.
Ive been up to date with the releases except Tenga so far. My biigest gripe is the store exclusive figures. This shoukd honestly be evergreen figures.

I know I am two years late. I am a new collector legit just starting to collect them starting with the MMPR figures and god I wish I had just waited. They came out with the remasters of the Black, yellow and pink ranger, and I bought the older versions of the three, along with the older version of the Red ranger, Remastered Blue, Another red ranger with the dragon shield, and the green ranger remaster without the shield. Part of me wishes I had just gone with the remasters. Sure they are more expensive but you get morphers and some nice heads. sooo big oof.
About to start collecting. I just want Orginal rangers, orginal villians, and new comic characters. Really like legacy look more but there seems to be little additions to the line. Do you forsee them adding zedd or anything else from mmpr to the legacy line?
Legacy is done. They were made by Bandai America who lost the Power Rangers rights to Hasbro, who makes the Lightning Collection.
I have the full team in: 8-inch, fliphead, PVC, Heroes Series 3, bike figures, MMPR 2010 4-inch, MMPR 2010 2-inch, Legacy 5-inch, Legacy 8-inch, Figuarts, Ace Toyz, Fisher Price, Lightning, preordered ThreeZero, and I'm sure I'm missing something. Ultimately, these figures are solid, but not my favourite. They lack the quality of the figuarts/Ace Toyz, the fun/nostalgia of the older toys, and the statuesque of the Legacy. Not the worst figures, but they're sort of middle of the road.
Honestly though, if you're only going to get one set, being middle of the road makes these the best.

Dude, yes, so right on the quality control. I think on paper these figures are good value. Hasbro makes well articulated figures that are almost as good as imports. And their Lightning Collection line in particular comes with a lot of accessories for the money. But the quality control is laughable. There basically is none. I also play the game of ordering 3+ figures then mix and match parts/accessories to get a decent version.

are the DO’s when it comes to energy effects, because they actually look great, and make sense with their weapons.

Tommy’s, and Trini’s spark effects make no sense, and look clunky all together. You’re better off not using them at all.

That's not an error. Hasbro knows they can rerelease another version in a few sets with the diamond chest and new head and FINALLY have it correct and people will buy it up.
@Dylan Sharp what's confusing about what I said? New civilian head. Correct chest diamond paint. There will be another release of Green before too long. They're up to 4 for pink (5 with Ranger Slayer), 3 yellow, and 2 of the others coming out this year.
So far, I have Tommy (White), Kim, & Trini. I do hope that there's a reissue of Billy in regular Blue but with that season 2&3 head, that looks more like him than that Bill Gates lookin' season 1 head. Hardly ever saw either version of Zack, so a regular version of Adam is needed here. I missed out on Jason, hopefully there's a regular Red Ranger Rocky is coming. Tommy (Green) is too much hassle for all the ways Hasbro screwed up (ditto for Trent from Dinothunder). And while it's annoying that the regular Yellow version of Aisha is in a two-pack, I DO want that Scorpina...now I'm also gonna have to pay the "late tax" to get a Goldar. So...I need: Rocky, Adam, Billy, & Aisha.
Speaking of the "late tax", I'm gonna have to do that to finish up my Legacy Collection Zeo team...I got Jason, Rocky, & Adam, but missed Tommy (never saw in stores), Kat, & Tanya (saw them shelfwarming like mad, but whenever I had money, they were mysteriously absent until I was broke again). Might be easier than tryna finish the Lightning Collection version...I don't like Hasbro's mentality of all these two-packs & exclusives. Makes it hard to get what you really want, especially since their distribution is as abysmal as Bandai America's was (and stores tend to have crummy ordering practices).
The only QA issue I've had so far is my Red Ranger came with his entire mouth section left unpainted. Luckily I have gundam markers and it looks fine once I painted it in, but I did laugh how such a big error got through the checks at the factory.

Paint is the biggest issue with these. When you look at them in stores, every one of them has something wrong. Having the Power Blaster would be nice, but I don't feel compelled to buy them all right now. I hope (and believe they probably will) release the original team as a box set at some point, which is really what they should be doing for every season a few years after the initial release. That's just good business.
These are the best Power Rangers figures so far. They are far more detailed and come with more weapons and other effects than any previos versions of Power Rangers toys. Having said that, there are improvements that could be made with quality control and team consistency.
I really like the line but I’m not picking up the mmpr line because I just prefer other seasons and I prioritize them knowing they’ll probably get rereleased

When I got Wave 7 Green I painted the helmet and got another Fighting Spirit Green to swap torsos, but the Dragon Shields on both of them have the same misalignment so until I find one without that flaw I'm kind of stuck.
I love the Lightning Collection but it's things like that and what you mentioned that make it infuriating sometimes.
I'm yet to find a green ranger where the painted shield icons are fully lined up with the indents for them

I Love the lightning collection but I get really upset and loose my faith in Hasbro when they keep doing double releases, like psycho blue and Goldar or same body Diff head and accessory.
just skip them, I sold mine and am happy with my SHF. Much better quality without double purchases. although after market price could be steep but I love them

The one I have trouble getting a hold of is the green ranger as everyone on eBay has them so so expensive and living on a budget it’s really hard to get my hands on and plus a blue ranger as well it’s hard for me to get my hands ahold of sadly 😢
I have 3 green rangers and I didn't mean to own 3. I saw a spectrum box bought it then I found out I couldn't cancel a preorder. Also I don't care about small tiny details, if I have the team. I have the team.
I like the base figures but the qc issues between releases is a big oof for us collectors. Like I'm just now getting a green ranger tommy online after not being able to find him specifically in store. I definitely think they could better about stocking distribution
These are the rangers I grew up with , I was trying my hardest to complete but the pink and black rangers were impossible to find for me
I've had so many issues with quality with the lightning collection line. I bought the Rita and Zedd 2 pack and was really happy with the Zedd figure but ended up having to return it because the Rita figure had two right arms. It had the right hands but you couldn't bend the arm in the correct way. Then I bought the Psycho Ranger pack and the yellow one was just ruined. The head bobbles and the one of the arms are loose. Other then that I've just been mixed on them. On one hand I like them because I just like how they look but the quality is all over the place and their money grabbing schemes just piss me off some times. Really wanted to complete the In Space line but I hate having to buy a two pack just to get TJ. Same goes for the Zeo line. Oh well I guess.
I wish someone else eventually became the green ranger while Tommy was the white ranger. That way we could have all 7 Ranger colours together
I always seem to get a rubbish paint figure or my best one was I ordered the mmpr green and it had no sword of darkness in it now have to wait to possibly end of August or later to get a replacement
I was bummed when I got my green ranger and saw that the diamond pattern wasn’t on his chest and the printing on his boot was terrible. My black ranger’s morpher wasn’t even painted gold in the right spot. Kinda irritating but it’ll be alright.

companies like super 7 are making hasbro look really really bad... their figures are like a nice sweet spot between the hasbro/bandai and something like the threezero figures. you get so much for the money and the accessories are very detailed

The Quality is just not there for me so I stopped. I've ordered the Super 7 Ultimate Wave 1 figs. Yes they're twice the price of hasbros but the number of accessories you get (blade Blaster in all three forms), heads for both the original and replacement Ranger in the same box and most likely much better quality control.
I feel these figures are fine, probably some of the best Mighty Morphin figures we’ve gotten. I’m mainly planning on completing Zeo, Samurai, Megaforce and Ninja Steel lighting line just because their original figures are a bit short. I do feel the line improving in quality.
2 and a half years after release I finally got that damn white ranger and even the ultimate super super rare pink 🤣🤣🤣
