Then in 1971 ,it was published as one of the three novellas in Golding's collection "The Scorpion God". The Rites of Passage 1980 which won the Booker prize is an account of 6 - month voyage to Australia in the early 19th century by an assorted group of British migrants on a converted man-of-war . Good evening ma'am, from last 92 days you have been throwing textual stones in to my literary world... There will be a day for me, that day I will build my JRF building with the help of your textual stones... Thank you soooooo much for everyday preparation and motivation 🥰🥰🥰...
1. William Golding was a complex man 2. He struggled with substance abuse 3. His life influenced his writing 4. He studied at one of the world’s best universities 5. His work as a teacher was part of the reason he wrote Lord of the Flies
The more I watch your videos ma'am the more intrigued i am to know about your scholarly journey. You must have been a beautiful girl detrimental and strong headed. You are so beautiful and polished, a sculpture sculpted by yourself. Blessings to you ma'am....your legacy in the coming 5 years will be legendary nationwide.
• Two dominant themes in Golding's works : Loss of innocence and that Man is savage at heart. The Inheritors reminds me of the drama series, The 100. Friends, do watch the Lord of the Flies movie. It's there in TH-cam and it's a must watch movie. If possible watch The 100 also. 🤗
What a great way to remember the works of authors. You repeated the names of Golding's works so many times that it got registered into my brain. I just loved your method of creating our own stories to remember the works of different authors. Thanks a lot ma'am 🙏🙏🙏🙏
William Golding (1911-93) -His most Famous novel, Lord of the Flies (1954) was influenced by his work as a Teacher, where he regularly dealt with unruly children. - Many of his books cover the theme of good vs Evil.
Thank you so much mam. Your advice is too precious. And you know in a very easy way you make us remember all the titles. When I read the Title 'Clonk Clonk' , I found it funny and repeated it making funny sounds😃. Later on out of curiosity I read little abt it and found that it is actually a comic Novella:- ‘Clonk Clonk’ is a funny and challenging novella, which demonstrates the power and ingenuity of women. Golding emphasises the importance of creativity in the story’s epigraph: Song before speech Verse before prose Flute before blowpipe Lyre before bow
We always see at least one question from Golding's Lord of the Flies. I read this text in Masters as a part of my syllabus and I love the symbolism of this play. Thank you mam for covering each and every aspect.
William Golding's Non-fictions include 1. The Hot Gates (1965) - The collection is divided into four sections: "People and Places", "Books", "Westward Look" and "Caught in a Bush". Published in 1965 2. A moving Target (1982) - i) This collection includes Golding's Noble Prize lecture ii) Published by Faber and Faber iii) Divided into 2 sections * Places * Ideas 3. An Egyptian journal (1985) - This is a first-hand journal, based on Golding's travels through Egypt soon after winning the Nobel prize
Lord of the Flies was Golding's first novel. The idea came about after Golding read what he deemed to be an unrealistic depiction of stranded children in youth novels like The Coral Island: a Tale of the Pacific Ocean (1857) by R. M. Ballantyne.
William Golding is known for his unique and insightful work of fiction, 'Lord Of The Flies'.Some of the most important quotes said by Golding include "I think women are foolish to pretend they are equal to men, they are far superior and always have been", and, "Maybe there is a beast… maybe it's only us". These William Golding quotes give us an insight into the works of his mind. Thank you ma'am for explaining so beautifully❤️❤️❤️
Today I just finish up reading of the lord of flies and then this lesson is just here . Description is so much wonderful .A must read book for each and every literature student.🌼
Lord of the Flies was in our B.A syllabus and I loved to attempt questions from the text. However, Now I remember all the works of Golding Chronologically: The Lord of the Flies Inheritors Pincher Martin Free Fall Spire Pyramid Spider God Darkness Visible Paper Man The End of the Earth trilogy Double tongue And you have not bored us at all. They said ' listening is better than writing '..I had written all this works in my notebook but was unable to memorize..now I can remember them for your story.. 😊😊
Success has to go through the failures indeed and it happened with this masterpiece too.. Surprising to know that.. Very well explained ma'am.. Thank you so much❤❤❤
Thank you sooo muchh Ma'am, you've made it soo easy to remember the chronological order of Golding's novels,I will follow this trick, and thank you for the picturesque summary of his important novels.🙏🙏❤️❤️
Thank you for the beautiful lecture ma'am. My favourite line from the novel is "The thing is- Fear can't hurt you any more than a dream." You explained it in a very efficient manner. Everyday@6 is winning our hearts 💕
Thank you so much mam as you said is the writer liked by all it's true he is one of my favourite writer thank you so much for such an informative video on this writer I am sure I will read extra about his works thank you so much dear mam
When you read the novel , you get to confront the grotesque image of lord of flies. Pig head in a spike and flies buzzing round its rotten lump. It gave me creeps. When they use Piggy's lenses for the purpose required and then decline returning them was also painful. One feels gush of emotions with flip of pages. 📃📃
His debut novel 'Lord of the Flies' focuses on the themes of the tension between groupthink and individuality, between rational and emotional reactions and between morality and immorality.
Dekho guys ma’am applies a layering technique… made the session full of fun to remember the chronology and then research yes you can’t forget that😄 Thank you soo much ma’am for being so awesome🤗
