This is what I Learnt extra and interesting :-
    • Kitchen sink drama was against Drawing room comedy as Kitchen Sink Drama represents lower class or inappropriateness/bad things( like we don't show our kitchen sink to everyone it depicts our reality )while Drawing room comedy is all about high, elite class , decorative and good things( like our Drawing room)
•John Osborne Won Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for Tony Richardson's movie version of Tom Jones
    • John Osborne Won Evening Standard Drama Award as the most promising playwright for "Look Back in Anger"
•Leslie Paul first used Angry young Man in autbiography "Angry Young Man"(1951)
•"The Kitchen " - Debut play of Arnold Wesker (made a film also in 1961)

The question was asked on NET that on which day the play opened . Sunday was the answer. Subtle but of paramount importance.

John Osborne's Look Back in Anger mainly depicts the dilemma of people in England during 1950's. Through the voice of Jimmy he depicts it clearly.

The "angry young men" were a group of mostly working- and middle-class British playwrights and novelists who became prominent in the 1950s. The group's leading figures included John Osborne and Kingsley Amis; other popular figures included John Braine, Alan Sillitoe, and John Wain. The phrase was originally coined by the Royal Court Theatre's press officer in order to promote Osborne's 1956 play Look Back in Anger. It is thought to be derived from the autobiography of Leslie Paul, founder of the Woodcraft Folk, whose Angry Young Man was published in 1951.

Thank you Ma'am for describing in detail the themes of all the important works like Osborne's look back in anger, Kingsley Amis's Lucky Jim, Alan Sillitoe's ' Loneliness of long distance runner' and your appropriate gestures made in hope of making us not to forget, would not at all let us forget John Braine's name and his works room at the top with the sequel of it life at the top.

👉Hypocrisy of highbrow people attacked was imperative in this genre. Britain is flooded with movements , one shattering or defining the other.
👉Lucky Jim by Kingsley Amis was advised by Philip Larkin. He advised him to write it.
    👉Gonna remember John Brain forever.

John Braine's Room at the Top (1957), set in a small Yorkshire town; its hero, Joe Lampton, was hailed as another of the provincial ‘angry young men’ of the 1950s. Lampton, a ruthless opportunist working at the Town Hall, seduces and marries the wealthy young Susan Browne, despite his love for an older woman named Alice because he wants to achieve his social ambition. Life at the Top (1962) continues the story of his success and disillusion. Thank you so much ma'am for this mind-blowing session and thank you so much for inspiring and motivating us!♥️🥰♥️

Young shoulders winner of the 1982 Whitbread Prize.
New life flowering from death, new perspectives arising from suffering, a new peace that comes from being tested to the uttermost. To 17 year old Paul Waterford life is beginning to seem a sour business, full of unsolved problems, unhappiness and general stress. Why did his young sister have to die in an air disaster? Why is his parents' marriage so evidently close to breaking up? Tired of the world as he sees it, Paul retreats into the fantasy of an ideal republic, the magnetic centre of his fantasies. But under the pressure of extreme circumstances a lot can change in 24 hours.

    Dear all,
This is my success story dedicated to our dear Kalyani Mam.
I was attempting since 2014, everytime i lost in points difference.
I passed NET this time just because of our dear Mam !!!
I had reached a point in life where every hope ended, at an age of 29 still jobless and desperatly struggling behind my dream. I always dreamed to become an Assistant Professor in English.
One day, i came across Mams free TH-cam videos. I was financially not well enough to get paid online courses then. The videos helped me a lot to clear the concepts.
Mams explanations & examples, tips & motivation, all made the classes wonderfull!
Gradually i started attending Mams Everyday @ 8 & @10 courses, Udemy lecturers and studied almost all materials Mam provided.
The situations were not at all favourable. To be precise like many of us faced, exam center was at a long distance, computers jammed multiple times, questions were quite tricky. Besides these my parents were affected by covid during my exam preparation days.
However i did my best under Mams guidance & motivation.
Miracles occured on the result declaration day once i checked the site i couldnt believe my eyes. I passed !!! That feeling is really great! My life changed exactly from that moment. All the past pains vanished for future smiles.
I attained this just because of Mam. Every year Mam has a bunch of successful students who spreads her fame and make her proud.
This time i am really blessed to be one among them to share with you all my success story dedicated to our dear Kalyani Vallath Mam.
Thanks a lot Mam for being the guiding light amidst the encircling gloom in our lives.
May God almighty give you all blessings to continue your mission of enlightening young souls towards wisdom in the coming decades ahead !!!
I am 100% sure that many of you will be writing your success stories here when next NET exam results are announced.
We are all really blessed to get such an inspirational teacher to guide us.
May God Bless You all to attain your dream very soon!!!
