I hope you are excited for this update as much as I am releasing it! There's plenty to talk about!
First of all, I would like to thank all the people who helped make this mod even better than I ever imagined it would be, because it IS much better. When I started working on this back in 2018, I had much ambitions and hope for it, but I did not expect it would grow this much since then. Initially meant to be a simple mappack, it now has everything I could hope a serious mod would have, very amazing music and voice acting, cinematic scenes, suprising gameplay elements and more!

Story wise, this game is a REBOOT of HL O.F.

So unlike Adrian Shepherd, who gets detained by Gman, the HECU Marine we play as gets to escape before the nuke? Not sure how lucky that makes him considering the Seven Hour War eventually happens.
It's kinda bittersweet if you think about it.

Well if you think about it as well many surviving .Marines would possibly go on to fight in the resistance helping train the rebels how to shoot and survive. Which is critical for the rebels later.

​@@eidoneverchoosen1171 maybe, it's possible that most of the HECU was disbanded and reassigned to other branches after the Black Mesa incident and when the Seven Hour War had resulted in Earth's surrender it's possible that some American military personnel and maybe other countries military service men and women had fled into hiding from the Combine's rule preferring to take their chances out in the wild rather than being a part of the new world order.
And yeah I can see that some would aid in the training and formation of future resistance groups and also become high ranking field commanders, like Odessa Cubbage but that's debatable given his shady background.
