Bayonets are one of the only things I was able to get in on before they became hilariously overpriced. I was able to get a nice handful of beautiful surplus AK bayonets before they went over the moon.
Very interesting. I really like to have one or two of those especially polish akm or east german. My east german furniture is arriving tomorrow perhaps. I found a donor wasr10 to make a"copy". I was really surprised at how pedestrian the wasr10 was. Almost a rough finish. Took top cover off and shepherds crook flew out. Makes my fox look like a Rolls-Royce! Looking forward to playing around with it. Thanks for your work. Hope down time was good.
The AK Bayonet at 22:22 is east german example, it got the electropenciled number on the Scabbart and on the Handle, the Yugos just stamped their bayonet, it also has an different pattern on the screw as the yugo bayonet Greetings from a german NVA Collector
I have the Zastava ZPAPM70 and would like to install a bayonet on it but as you know it didn’t come with a lug to attach the Bayonet to. The question I wanted to ask is if you know where i can get the parts to add a lug? Also is there any videos showing install? thanks again and keep on making videos. 👍👊
Hey misha! Was wondering if you could help me identify some 7.62x39 ammo. I recently picked up some ammo at my lgs that’s in old white PMC (Korean company) boxes but the boxes themselves say country of manufacture was in “Peoples Republic of China” and headstamp reads “351/90” I can’t find ANYTHING online with that specific headstamp year with the exception of 1 russian website and everything on the website is in Russian. Ammo is copper washed as well.
Great video. Thank you once again for sharing your knowledge. What currently made rifle is the closest in quality, or better, than Russian AK's? This meaning SHTF service rifle reliability.
@@provenancemachining PSA seems to be genuinely interested in making a good product for the price point. Honestly, KUSA looks to be a great value in a domestic AK, but they're probably $300 higher than what Zastava is offering. It all depends on what someone wants in a rifle.
@@maverickpaladin4155 I agree, PSA is making efforts at the very least even though they are also trying to straddle that fine line between cheap and good quality (104 build kits, for example). We are definitely entering a time where decent clones are becoming more common (KUSA's KP-9). Time will tell.
Let it be known that the original comment 'assumed' the cat's gender lol j/k (And for what its worth, Hobo there is in fact a 'she' despite the fact the vet first argued with me. I told them right away, trust me, its definitely a girl hehe).
According to Kalashnikov and a couple others designing the AK in the late '40s and early '50s, the notion to have a bayonet mount to the rifle came quite late in the whole process. So yeah, they had what was already a finished design and went back to figure a quick & easy way to put a stabby thingy on the end. Hence why they just modified the M1940 bayonet used on the SVT Tokarev rifle. Much more thought went into the next version for the AKM though.
Nice collection you have there, it was interesting, i need a Russian AK74 one, the nice one colored nearly the same as the wooden parts on the AK :) (Would look cool with my Airsoft 74 replica:) ) No idea what you guys have there in the US, is Hungarian AKM version rare? I even can sell mine if someone pays, it would be more interesting for a foreign man, collecting them... :D
Why don't you either turn off the camera or point it up to the ceiling when you attach and remove the bayonet to the rifle. People, after all, aren't watching this to learn anything.
Your original bayonet video, is what got me to subscribe in the first place because not many people are doing them
Just did this one because the bayonets were out and we were snowed in that day. So why not? It was fun and relaxing.
My favorite so far is my North Korean type 68 bayonet, very interesting blend of AKM function with an almost type 1 design.
I swear to god this is so relaxing to watch and I don’t know why lol, thanks man 👍
Always, great. These are the types of questions I can never find answers to when I'm curious. Thanks.
I appreciate your knowledge and effort. Thanks.

Yeah, i like the Polish ones myself. Very nice quality and unique variants for the AK47 and AKM/Tantal.
Love those stiletto bayonets. Great content as usual, Misha.
When are we getting a Misha book on headstamp publishing?
As soon as they respond to my request to headstamp with braille ;p
I never knew there was that many AK bayonets
Good stuff. Educational and interesting

Would all of these fit on an ak74m? All I can find are mostly AKM bayonets
I have a unserialized and unissued Russian plum bayonet to go with my 1988 Izzy kit build.
Very nice collection of AK bayonets you have there.
big fan of the first person style close up videos

Great video.
KUSA KR103 or Arsenal SLR107R? Which is more worth their current price tag?
Do AKM bayonets work with the AK 74, and do Yugo bayonets work with standard AKM type rifles?
Thank you Eric for standing up for what is right for all Americans period. Thank you Sir!
what about a bayonet that looks like an AKM style, but without the wire cutter on the sheath or the hole in the blade? Know anything about that

people get too caught up with tools. pick good ak, or good ar, or good whatever and train with it. “SHTF” no training u are dead
WBP Fox or an Arsenal
Most of them are aside from some of the WASRs and almost anything built in the US up until fairly recently. Just grab an Arsenal and call it good.

I love your video
So many variants love that egyptian My favorite are my Yugoslavian variants . My fighting knife especially it’s such a mystery
Awesome
Can you please tell me which bayonet(s) fit on a Hungarian FEG SA85M thank you
Basically any AKM/AK74 bayonet should fit. If you mean which variant would be correct Hungarian? Then AKM first variation.
@@misha5670 Thank you good sir!! Duly noted!
Can a AK74m take a akm type 1 bayonet?
Oh Nooooo!!!!! It’s the EVIL bayonet!!!!!
Semper Fidelis🇺🇸
I hear drive-by bayonetings are a real issue...somewhere, in some mythical place, someone, sometime lived in!
That combo at 17:00 is so damn sexy

I need a nice bayonet for my WBP Jack AK47, Atlantic firearms has been out of em for awhile
The only time I could possess that gun was when I lived in Florida
You got some cool shit
I gotta disagree on the after thought. Atleast how it seems like a bad thing. They look good and fit good. Well my three do on my 3 rifles.
