I’m so glad I read the transcript... so pretty much y’all as a summary: her friend who was also interested in fashion was an intern and called her saying that the company is looking for new interns and told her to send her resume to the fashion coordinator so she did and she got in. The tips shared is working at McDonald’s at 14 taught her hard word and work ethic so no matter what you do, work hard at it and believe everything will work out.

This video came to me at the right time. I am looking for how to break into the industry via editorial or buying and I've been feeling so stuck and this just gave me new reassurance. It's so had doing it 24 with no connections, but I'm still going to try!

This video touched me so much I am a fashion designer I do not make the clothes I do not so I have not gone to fashion School my sketches I am self-taught since 2015 and I believe they are groundbreaking and belong on the runway I just don't know where to go from here but I just keep praying this video touched me so much she literally reached out to the creative director and it all just happened

The way I view the world (largely based on stuff I cribbed from Plato)
The Good consists of three categories: Compassion, Truth, and Beauty
Of these three Beauty stands out as the most accessible. If you want to communicate that something is good the quickest route is to make it beautiful.
Then to have integrity the good thing should be based on the truth. People like and trust what is sincere.
Lastly it must serve compassion. Otherwise what else is the good thing serving? What is this whole thing about, if it doesn't include helping people?

Thank you so much for sharing. I love your perspective of the moment in time where now is a perfect time for you. Networking and building relationships are key to success and my motto in all I do. So inspiring! I think younger people need to realize in order to go big, you must start small and sometimes things you do not want to do, but realizing it's temporary, not permanent.

Hi Kaija! Thank you so much for sharing your story, it is truly inspiring! I am 27, have worked for several years in marketing for other industries, and would love to change to the fashion industry. Being on the inside of the business, have you seen other people do it, and do you have any tips? Thanks a lot for any orientation you can provide!

Did you submit a portfolio and if so, what did you have? I'm just curious if there is another factor that could have led them to being interested in you beyond McDonalds

I’m a business fashion student and I live in a small city with no or little opportunities in fashion. I might have to spend the summer in a different state for some experience.
