O'Toole's film career took off with his unforgettable portrayal of T. E. Lawrence in the epic "Lawrence of Arabia." With numerous iconic roles in movies such as "Becket," "The Lion in Winter," and "My Favorite Year," O'Toole received an Academy Honorary Award in 2002. His accolades also include four Golden Globe Awards, one BAFTA Award for Best British Actor, and one Primetime Emmy Award. However, not everyone appreciated O'Toole's charm. Actress Diane Kruger found her experience working with him on the film "Troy" to be highly unpleasant due to his inebriated state. O'Toole was also known for his wild nights with fellow actors Richard Harris, Elizabeth Taylor, and Richard Burton.
O'Toole's reputation as a ladies' man is well-documented. His romantic conquests allegedly included Jayne Mansfield, Anita Ekberg, Diana Dors, and even Princess Margaret. His passionate affair with Audrey Hepburn during the filming of "How to Steal a Million" resulted in heartbreak for both actors.
Despite his illustrious career, O'Toole faced numerous health complications, including a misdiagnosis of stomach cancer and a battle with insulin-dependent diabetes. In July 2012, he retired due to a recurrence of stomach cancer. O'Toole passed away on December 14, 2013, at the age of 81.
Peter O’Toole Confirms He Was Always Drunk - บันเทิง
It's a miracle he lifved to be 81. But well, he's always been special...
Drunk or sober, he was truly amazing
Beautiful words, thank you for your message for Peter. Which of his roles appealed to you the most?
@@FactsVerseUK The popular answer would be Lawrence of Arabia. He was awesome, no doubt about it, but my favorite was My Favorite Year followed very very closely by the Lion in Winter
But he was better drunk 👍
Peter o'toole was a unique actor with a great sense of humour. RIP Legend
Beautiful words, thank you for your message for Peter. We miss him 😭
The captivating" book was nothing but trash. Although O'Toole did grievously insult Lauren Bacall and offend many other actors he worked with (or didn't) there are just as many in theatre and film who worked with him who have high praise for his personality and, most of all, his acting. Women? If I were as gorgeous and Byronic a man as he was, I'd be the same way! Who wouldn't? I'm a woman, BTW, but Byron was the hero of my youth. A man like that is difficult, if not impossible, but worth every second of the turmoil he creates.
I agree ….trash. Hearsay and gossip. No research at all ; details about his parent’s marriage guess work……few minutes on the internet proved that.
Pffff
0:10 -- I like this guy already.
Nonpareil 🔥🔥🔥
Did he ever set foot in Ireland?
Well as I saw him on the stage of the Gaiery Theatre, Dublin, possibly in 1989, I would say yes. There are also many recorded instances of Peter in Ireland. Why the question?
Yes, he had a house there for many years.
I rather be a fun drunk than a boring karren.
👍
The old story about diabetes appears again……
