      I was at one of the games he hit 2 hr at I really thought he would shine better. But once pitchers figure you out and you can’t adjust this happens

      Hes been figuring it out. Before IL the last 2 hrs he had the game before were off off speed. So hoping he can figure it out

    He was so incredible during that short run in 2019. It seemed like he was hitting everything out of the park. I thought he was gonna be one of the best players in the league to come, but it sadly never happened.

      It's a real shame. Dude has some pop, and some flair, but like Chris Davis and Joey Gallo they are one trick ponies,just get worse and worse, then can't do anything.

      @@vernpascal1531 Aquino and Gallo are not the same Gallo has an OPS of 800 for his career where as Aquino outside of that small 2019 sample would be in the 600s. Gallo is also an elite defender

      Aquino is a elite defender he can play all three outfield spots and one of the best arms if not the best arm in the NL Don’t run on him he can make you look silly for trying

    Im a huge baseball card fan, and I got started with that in the summer of 2020, where I pulled a numbered aristides aquino rookie autograph. That card is what spiked my love for baseball cards. It's value has dropped about 10x since that time, but I still cherish that card. Im rooting for the kid.

    The same thing that happens to a lot of “can’t miss” guys…..the longer they play, the more their weaknesses are exposed and MLB pitchers take advantage of this.

    Aquino is the punisher of bad pitching. Once scouting caught up, he was done. .200 career hitter, .600 OPS.

    Your monster month series has always been my favorite! Pretty much all of them are flashes in the pan. It’s crazy seeing some guys who aren’t highly touted turn into Babe Ruth. Always exciting.

    Couple corrections, Castellanos was basically the day one Right fielder when he got here, so Aquinio didn't lose time because he played mostly Left field. And second he wasn't included on the 2020 opening day roster and was relegated to the backup team (idk what else to call it, 2020 was weird)

    He’s a statcast demon, explosive bat and arm and moves really well for someone so big. I hope he learns to hit a breaking ball because if he does he has top 50 tools

    As a Reds fan, I have seen enough of him to know that the crazy month he had, even though it was quite memorable, was not a true tale in the slightest. He has definitely been on the struggle bus non-stop since then. Nevertheless, even though they had a losing season, 2019 was one heck of a time to be a Reds fan

    He is one of the bright spots of being a reds fan this year. He has struck out a lot…but so has everyone else on the team. He at least will hit a massive home run every few games…yeah the level of energy in the fanbase isn’t great right now :(

We are at the point where we have a 50/50 shot of even SCORING in a game so I’m trying to just find some sort of optimism to watch because man are we not good this year.     i got to watch him play for a few years while he was in Daytona and always thought he stood out amongst the other players down there in single A. it was cool to see him have success, albeit short lived, at the major league level.

    Aquino has been horrible so far this year. 2 for 38 (.053) with one homer and 21 strikeouts. That means he strikes out more than half the time. Pitchers know he can't hit breaking balls so that's basically all he gets. The only reason the Reds haven't cut him is because there's no one in the minors who's ready for the big leagues. This is a very weak team.
