I feel sorry for the guy. The Panthers aren't good and he should never have been picked 1 overall IMO. Sometimes players are good for the college game but not the NFL even Heisman winners. Matt Leinart and Johnny Manziel are two that come to mind and it's okay. Everyone isn't going to be great and that's just facts. I don't think anyone is going to say it has to do with race. Then he got the best money possible getting picked 1 overall when he was always like a solid backup QB in my eyes. Take that money, save yourself, and he'll have another opportunity somewhere bc he's young and someone, with coaching skills hopefully, will pick him up and I'm assuming will develop him more and get him prepared to be serviceable.

Player contracts have increased because of TV contracts, sports betting, inflated prices of tickets and concession, and streaming services. Player efficiency has decreased because college and high school programs have been hamstrung with NIL and the transfer portal, allowing players to transfer semester by semester, creating athletes who have no stability in an athletic program, receiving coaching from multiple coaches in a short amount of time

@@mark1756 it's not that. Black athletes tend to be more athletic so in the lower level they don't develop these guys throwing abilities or mechanics since they're super athletic. An athletic QB with a big arm can dominate high school and college and those coaches are just worried about those wins. As you see the black QBs who aren't as athletic as Lamar or AR5 can actually sit in the pocket and read defenses and make tough throws. Stroud, Geno, Jordan love and Kyler would if he was taller, dak, and of course mahomes. All got the right coaching and can make plays with their arm and feet. It's not skin color, you're just a racist pos. White QBs have sucked getting in the wrong system and some revive their career in the right place.....sam darnold, Alex smith, drew brees. You don't wtf you're talking about. Most of these QBs aren't developed across the board bc the game has changed.

Full-time QB's in shotgun is prettier but this year there are at least 7 teams that would be better in old school under center play at least 2/3 of plays; Texans and CJ Stroud are to be applauded . . . .etc, etc,

It's because the NFL is pushing a certain quarterback, and trying to force them into a position they are not good enough to play...also, Mahomes is an illusion. He's not nearly as good as the NFL is framing him to be. He only wins because the NFL uses officials to keep him in the public eye an playing in Superbowls...without this help, he would be just an average quarterback. The NFL is ignoring NFL teams are drafting a lot of run and gun athletic quarterbacks of color that played for the most part on high level teams. As a life long Cowboy follower sort of these days, Dak(Who clearly got up on the right side of the bed years ago) has never proved he is a field vision quarterback. Watch the tapes of lovers and haters and you can see for yourself. Dak doesn't have pocket presence of other high level qb's and make reads and some fans are calling him and other qb's out. We are seeing a lot of qb's that seem to be drafted for being a good college qb, not for how they act in the pocket..Cowboys know they screwed up with Dak who does play well when he doesn't have to carry the game as do other teams.

Rap music has little to do with the craptastic play of rookie QBs. It's more that these guys are put into the starter QB role too early. Years ago, rookie QBs would be on the sidelines for one or two seasons before being handed the starter role. They were able to observe and learn from a veteran QB how to handle and manage the game at a pro level. Not every rookie is able to hit the ground running from day one. A lot of them could benefit from sitting out the first and even second year before becoming the starter.
