3:20 For me, the moment that got me the most was Pardofellis guiding Kevin's last attack on HoC by keeping the portal open, while knowing she'd also be obliterated by the blast.
The whole monologue of her wanting to run away, why she should be alive, the trust Su and Kevin had in her without even seeing her there, and her finally screaming out "I am a Flame-Chaser!" at the end, really hit me.

ER is a product of excellent writing, we can really feel how much love all the devs put into this arc. From designs all the way to plot it’s simply wonderful.

@@ultimatejr08x32 The 12th was Herrscher of Corruption, who I believe was sealed away. Herrscher of the End appeared a while after that, but the Flame-Chasers couldn't defeat her. Nobody is strong enough to defeat her as of right now. It's why Kevin, Fu Hua and Su had to implement Project Ember.

0:38 This part alone tells a lot of what actually happened, Su and Aponia not on the moon and stay on Earth as Psychic MANTIS. Griseo supposed to board ARK at this point. Sakura & Elysia no longer there.
Only 4 of them returned, Eden decided to end her life with the Civilization while Mobius may do the same.

Mihoyo's attention to detail is amazing. In the Second Eruption manga, they showed the exact same scene, but only revealed Kevin and Hua (the rest of the flamechasers weren't designed yet so they only appeared as shadowy figures). In the manga, they showed Hua standing to Kevin's right just like here.

Yes. Because Hoyo devs are all Eva fan so sometimes you can see some Evagelion reference examples: When Mobius death look just like the last scene in Evagelion: The end of Evagelion or Hoyos had collabed with Eva before,....
Plz the way their deaths/corruptions were heartbreaking and they show it here by making them fly away from the HoC in one hit 😭

"So don't forget out story", yeah... I don't think after all crazy things you did out there we will ever forget you😅 That was such a nice arc honestly, and unlike many who complained flame-chasers are boring, I always knew this will be another masterpiece of a story from honkai!
The story could be finished much earlier, if so called smart Mobius notice corruption earlier, klein and aponiaalready sense something wrong , but uh refrain to investigate further
I wonder if Mei's experiences and memories of the flame-chasers during the Elysian Realm arc will birth a new combined herrscher with her power of thunder.
Like Fire tuna's flamescion variant of the herrscher, which is her power of void combined with fire and the other two gemstones?
Feel like the whole arc was just more world building for answering some of Mei's questions when she first arrived. Introduction of another "type" of herrscher that isn't the norm. And the ending that Mei deserved after meeting with real world Kevin.
Yeah, that's what i thought about a new transformation of Mei's power in the future!

what got me in the end was Kevin standing right outside the Elysian realm with Shamash in hand as the final failsafe, and when Mei saw him, she realized that the only reason he had recruited a herrscher was so that he could show them to Elysia.
Flame- chasers story is so well written full emotion, care and love no wonder it makes u cry when it ends, but i would definitely like to see more ER story chapters inside of ER
It's terajerker tactic, unlike himeko constant flashback, this whole corruption thingy could be detected much earlier, but to be fair 13 flamechasers is better sacrifice than unleashing 12th herrscher in real life 😂
To be honest, the flame chasers are the best group on honkai. And this arc ended as it was supposed to, with an heroic sacrifice and good memories
This looks so wholesome and cute, so sad that these characters were with us for only a short time.
Now I wish Mihoyo to sell a book about the Flame-Chaser...

I was tearing up at Kosma fusing Griseo then that Kevin yeeting Pardo broke me all over. I am confused on whether should I laugh or cry at this
So Pardo, Kosma, Kalpas, and Vill-V are the ones who died in the moon. Rest in peace, heroes.

Mobius, Eden and Aponia died too, they stay behind , while Kevin, Hua and Su we're in the Cryopods

This was actually really helpful. As someone who isn't too interested in playing through the Elysian Realm, this definitely explains what I'm missing.
This is so cute! It also reminds me of the little lore scattered across ER that I love to revisit, even in the item descriptions!

This is why i strongly admired how this arc was severely influenced by FIRE MOTH DLC in GGZ.
Even some of visuals here are reminiscence of GGZ's visual and UI.

As a veteran captain who's been in Honkai series for 9 years, for someone who have seen Honkai from beginning until now.
I thank you for creating FIRE MOTH DLC.
I already said this, 6 years ago because this is a peak Honkai optimism masterpiece.

I thank you for creating Elysium Everlasting.
The successor of Fire MOTH DLC's lessons and moral values.
Elysium Fields of Greek mythology are place where nameless heroes are going to rest and never to pick swords again.
But even if that's the case, they still want to leave a legacy and wanting a remembrance to prove that they existed and hoped that their beliefs for the beautiful world will be carried through generations.
If you want something that will make you agree that humans are miserable shits yet still believe that even every if that's the case, the good deeds of humans can't be invalidated and it will always sprout a hope that will spread that kindness to others.
Honkai is your way go.
The line "this arc will always be forever in my, and always have a special place in my heart." Comments here is literally why this arc just like Fire MOTH DLC cannot be compared to main story of both 2 games.
Because they are special.

It's been a few days since i bid my farewell to Elysia and the 13 Flame chasers, yet still lingered in my mind rent free and watching this recap made me emotional again

This is, for me, Honkai’s writing at peak: to introduce so many characters characters whom you know nothing about and make them just as interesting and lovable as the main cast, in just a short amount of time. Their story has ended but it will surely affect the chapters ahead in some way.
I agree, it's the succesor of FIRE MOTH DLC anyway.
The first peak Honkai writing in terms of being a fable and optimism.
Fire MOTH DLC and Elysium Everlasting are special and cannot be compared.

The story and arc of the Elysian Realm was a journey I don't regret reading and waiting for... It might have ended, but every memory from this arc and arcs previous will stay true and permanent to our memories

This is a really good summary for those who has played through the ER to reminisce. For those that have not, well.. the Elysian Realm arc probably will be an emotional roller coaster.
The fact HoTE's Shadow retains her design from Gun Girl Z is most concerning for Kiana
Yeah the more time goes on the more it's looking like that rematch between Kiana and Mei will be with all those cores inside Kiana turning her into the End. And Mei fighting against her. There's dialogue in that last scene in the recent chapter with the narrator where it says that Mei now knowing that herrsicher 13 doesn't really exist and that the current era 12th just went down she knows what's coming next and needs to act fast
That was the Previous Era HoTE though? The design is probably an easter egg, since that's a character that lived and died 50,000 years before Kiana was born

Elysian Realm is my favorite arc even though it not even the main story
It is though. It was teased at the end of hod arc. So focus on the individual flame chassers is side story yes but focus on elisiya is by right tied to main story
I don't know why I love all of the flame chasers so much, I guess I admire them because they fought an unwinnable battle and yet never gave up
Heart broke so many times
Very few endings made me cry like this. Elysia is one of the best characters I've experienced. It's hard to take in the ending. It managed to grasp the feelings it intended to convey. I hope they do an anime on this level.
Of course elysia no one will ever forget your story it will remain forever engraved in my and even if I stop playing honkai (which probably won't happen) I will never forget you idol of humanity 😭😭😭😭
