    Hi Maami, I tried out preparing kollu idlies and believe me.. This came out really well... Very soft and spongy idlies - puffed up well... Did a slight moderation - added 2 cups of idli rice and 2 cups of brown rice and half a cup of poha for 1 cup horsegram. It was a lovely breakfast this morning - horsegram idlies with onion chutney... Thank you so very much for the recipe... Next time I'll try it out with millets instead of rice and let you know how it turns out... Thanks again 😃

    That was a lovely video. You explain just like my MiL.
    Using horsegram in place of urad dal for idli/dosa batter is new & interesting.
    The sambhar hack was even better! 😅.
    Can we add a pinch of roasted methi powder towards the end to enhance the taste of this sambhar?
    Lastly, is there any taste difference in this idli / dosa vis-a-vis the regular ones?

    The reason for the tawa to be so good even after 2 generation is because ur Amma is also so neat and careful in handling the things just like u... That's the love which is passed to u.uncle SD make Sambar. See the love saying yes . Keep it up Amma.

    Aunty didnt know that horsegram cud be used so effectively. Learnt a new sambhar chutney that can be made quickly with limited resources. Lovibg uncle's participation feels as if you r living next door. These tavas r actually hard to find thses days good that you have treasured them so well.

    Namaste mam.Thanks for sharing healthy horsegram idli and dosa, a very new recipe for me.Yesterday i tried your broken wheat rava pidikozhukattai.That was simply awesome.My kids also had them with just curd.You can also make uncle to taste the dish and give his comments too in the video mam.My pranams to both of you mam.
