Awww...wanted to watch with u guys on TH-cam. Those are the best episodes.
Watching this drama knowing that the actor who plays Youngbin/eyebrows/bandaid and park jihoon (sieun/blank face) are bffs in real life makes me see it in a whole different light lmaoo they've done maybe like 3 dramas together. Jihoon playing Sieun is also like insane because he's literally known to have this bright/innocent image in the idol industry, so this was a huge turning point for him.

I laugh every time I watch the part where sooho throws bumseok in the lunchroom. You could tell sooho was done with bumseok the minute they got into the argument at the karaoke place but he never acted on his feelings cus he knew sieun still cared for him and was trying to mend their relationship, sieun still had hope even though sooho knew bumseok was a lost cause and wasn’t coming back. That lunch room scene was the breaking point for both of them.
But why did Sooho get over his friendship with Bumseok so quickly? Sooho didn't even correct his misunderstanding with Bumseok. We know Bumseok behaved awfully but maybe he was right about Sooho not really being his friend. Think about Sieun, it was so hard for him... But can we say the same about Sooho? Just thoughts.
@@justsaying3778 sooho was clearly bothered by the whole situation with bumseok though, you could tell just by his facial expressions alone... however sooho never went through the stuff they went through, so it's normal that sieun understands bumseok better. sooho didn't understand why bumseok was behaving that way and on top of that he heard bumseok badmouthing him... i think that's when sooho began to "stop caring" . sooho's approach is more like "if that's how it's gonna be, then so be it".
@justsaying3778 I found suho so insensitive, and he really acted like a jackass here. He acts just like a bully here. By attacking Beom seok physically he basically confirmed his fear: that he wasn't really his friend.
@@justsaying3778 Suho will say things as it is, and he was obviously very much bothered by the fact that his kindness and genuine actions of looking out for Bumseok were taken as trying to make himself the hero when if u know his character, he doesn’t care about how people think of him (unlike bumseok). They literally talked about the situation in the karaoke place. In order to clear a misunderstanding Bumseok has to be willing to listen, which he was not, and immediately went to the other group. Bum is still going through his own trauma and struggles that he is too “blind” to see how wrong he is and apologize. He feels like he’s the side character, while ironically thinking centering himself (thinking his friends don’t care about him and he is being replaced). Suho is not afraid to cut toxic people out of his life because he’s comfortable being alone, where as sieun cherished the friendship because after experiencing companionship he couldn’t let bum go. Bumseok’s past does not give him a pass to treat his friends the way he did. Not everyone is obligated to forgive a person who wronged them. Why should Suho forgive someone who he felt not only didn’t understand his actions, but also went to befriend the group of people who kidnapped both of them, and put him in the hospital? Even unconscious he couldn’t get an apology. This goes for all the others under my post and future people as well. I won’t read or comment under any bumseok apologist posts again, but I just hope the folks who relate to his character realize you are not the problem and that your self deprecating thoughts are just thoughts. You are worthy of good friends and not everyone is faking it or “doesn’t care”. While hurting yourself you can also hurt the people that genuinely care about you. If they distance themselves or leave, it may not be because they “don’t care” but are protecting themselves.
Fr, i hate bum seok apologies more than bom seok
The people who are saying they don’t understand the hate for Beomseok are actually being ridiculous. I absolutely loathe his character and I am completely unapologetic about it. Did I understand where he was coming from at first? Yes, of course. I completely understand that his own trauma and inferiority complex got to him and he started acting irrationally. I understood and empathized with him struggling to feel included in their friendship, I understood him distancing himself from Sooho and Sieun, I understood him hanging out with the bullies as a way to feel included; however, my empathy for him disappeared when they cut the brakes to Sooho’s bike.
THAT was too fucking far. And you can tell he was maybe unsure or even scared of doing so. But guess what: he fucking did it anyway. He didn’t say a goddamn thing and was complicit in attempting to fucking murder Sooho due to his own insecurities. And things only get fucking WORSE from there due to him. So, no, I don’t like Beomseok at the fuck all. All my goodwill for him was erased.

First, he cut the breaks off his bike, if you try that in real life that literally is attempted murder. if that person dies from their injuries due to that, you get charged with first degree murder bc the motive was premediated. Secondly, he beat him up to the point where hes in a coma, again another attempt at murder. It's one thing to beat someone up to scare them and another to not know your limits and cross the moral boundary of taking a life.
At first I had sympathy for bumseok but as soon as he did the cutting breaks thing I was done with him. You don't go out there becoming a murderer just because of some personal issues. He tried to kill sooho twice, turned his back on sieun in this episode where sieun could've died too. How can you do that to your best friends. After seeing all this I agree with suho that he just wanted popularity and feeling superior. Had he ever considered them true friends he wouldn't have gone this far.
So the thing about the seaweed soup I heard that Koreans on their birthday eat seaweed soup because that's what their mother's ate when they gave birth to them so it's like a sign of appreciation
I love the symbolism behind Bum Seok not wearing his glasses since the middle of the previous episode.

I know someone like him, or knew. but honestly ppl like him need help not to be hurt or treated like villains but some ppl who watch this don’t really understand the reasons behind his actions
Convinced anyone talking about bumseok is misunderstood will support any bullies in real life. Newsflash, they're all "misunderstood" if that's your definition of them because they had a bad family. bullies were bullied it doesn't make their bullying any less evil.
tbh a lot of ppl say beomseok is misunderstood bc viewers take light of his pain. not that we think that what he did is right. its juts that most ppl look at bumseok and think his feelings arent valid, ppl ignore that he is so f*cking traumatized that his brain distorts the reality. its not his fault for thinking this way and being kinda paranoid.
Imo there's nothing in this world that justifies violence. You have issues with ur daddy and mommy? That doesn't mean you can take it on the random kid with glasses at school

I think Suho had the right to hit Bomseok in the cafeteria, he told him respectfully to get in the line before he even hit him but Bomseok refused, Suho had the right to be angry at him because he spoke badly about him behind his back and in front of his face, he could’ve stopped being their friend Respectfully, but he chose to be bad, so Suho in that case had nothing to do with the trauma that Bomseok was subjected to, he was filled with anger at Bomseok's unjustified actions.

I think although Beom Sok did appreciate Soo ho and Si Eun as friends, especially Si Eun, he was always jealous of Soo ho, they showed it from the beginning, with the instagram thing, he was always in it for the popularity more than anything, granted, probably because he was always bullied so he became obsessed with being cool, but it doesn't excuse anything he did at all. Soo ho even said it himself, he was just going where he was "cool", when they could no longer make him feel cool, and he also started being jealous of the girl, he joined the wrong crowd
Actually if you think about it Ahn Soo Ho is the most antipathetic one if we compare the profil they wanted to create. Bum seok was dealing so many bad things his life, he abused from his step father and piers from his previous school physically. He was the one actually unite the the group of Si Eun and Soo Ho.
When Si Eun is troubled he was the one asking help from Soo Ho in return of paying him since Soo Ho was not interested in. Also when Soo Ho went the gangs by himself, he went after them to help him. Then what did Soo Ho do? Posting photos with the girl he got himself troubled and also Si Eun but not with Bum Seok. Moreover When Si Eun and him went to Bum Seok's house, Bum Seok told them he was bullied and being hospitalized and Soo Ho respounded him ''WHAT DID YOU DO WRONG'' that was really heartbreaking moment.
Bully guys from Bum Seok's previous school, Ahn Soo Ho did not let him fight but when something happens to Si Eun he got his revenge and used violence not asking or accepting an apology. but for bum seok's issue he asked them to apologize, if it was si eun he would already beat them. What is my point is, although I like Si Eun and Soo Ho relationship, Ahn Soo Ho wasn't sincere to Bum Seok and behaved wrongly to him consciously until he pushed him to the bad side.
Well I don't think Soo ho posted any of those pics actually. If you notice the photos are always kind of directed by her. I think the girl is the one who took and posted the photos. Notice she easily uses their phone. And we can tell she is the big social media one, based on the few pics Soo ho had when Beom Sok checked Soo ho insta at first
@@aliciapark6241 I see where you're coming from but I personally don't think Soo ho did anything wrong, sure, there could have been better communication, but going through difficult things in life is no excuse to ruin someone else's life, he put him in a coma, tried to get him killed multiple times etc after all soo ho ever tried to do was help him. I do think Soo ho was kind of oblivious at times, like for example he didn't pick up that bum seok felt neglected, especially when he started hanging out with the girl, but if you think about intentions, I genuinely do not think that it ever crossed Soo hos mind, because in his head, they were all friends so why would there be a problem? Wanting attention, popularity and support or going through terrible things is absolutely no excuse for what beom seok did to him, whatever the motive
@@blove9258 I agree, and even though Soo Ho had a lot of followers, it didn't seem like he even used his social media personally a lot, which is why he never followed Bum Seok back, all the pictures he posted it's very possible the girl took his phone and posted them herself or he just posted them quickly without checking his notifications because he probably gets a lot. And him getting jealous over the girl, soo ho and si eun taking pictures together makes no sense because they only did it because they were all at the hospital at the same time, if bum Seok wanted pics together it's very easy to simply take out his phone and say hey, let's take pics, I'll tag u, follow me back

I know he was very introvert but they were his literal best friends. In life you have to take the first step. People can't always know what's going on in your head. Especially sooho who was always so busy with work.

The reason why sieun went instead of telling sooho is because he knew that bumseok is after sooho. And if sooho goes things can become worse and sooho might get Hurt. Also it was sooho's birthday. That's just my interpretation.
Beomseok has already been destroyed, only a specialist can help just like him, ordinary friends the more they care the more people like Beomseok think it's not friendship, he drowned in suspiciousness, he does not know what trust is, how it actually manifests itself. such people cannot be spared care, because it can turn against, only a psychologist, unfortunately, can help with such a destroyed personality.
even when they see that their actions have brought destruction, they blame others but not themselves, this is the only thing that they have. they really need friends, but hypersensitivity prevents such people from distinguishing friendship from mere attention.л
You're right. Bum Seok needed medical attention. That's the only way to fix him. And I understand how he felt because I've been there. I was like that in high school (however, I never went as far as he went with Si-eun and Soo Ho). I had inferiority complex and I always questioned people's reasons for getting close to me in my head. "Do they want to be friends with me or they're only giving me attention because I am one of the top students of the class?" I even got into a fight with one of my friends back then because of it (we're good now though 😊 I'm in college now, quite busy, but I try to text her whenever I can). I feel like Bum Seok's case of inferiority complex was even worse than mine though, he definitely had other problems in his head. However, it broke my heart that Bum Seok actually went as far as trying to kill Soo Ho twice. And *spoiler alert* He almost succeeded in the end, that's if Soo Ho ever woke up from that coma Bum Seok put him in by beating him so badly like that at the ending of the series (cos they didn't show anything to give us info that Soo Ho would wake up). I say he didn't need friends, just the medical attention. If he had such trust issues towards the people around him, both the ones who were showing him care and the ones who just gave him attention, then I think it would have been much better if he didn't become friends with Si-eun and Soo Ho in the first place. He shouldn't have even been friends with anybody. "You can't be friends with people you don't trust." That was my anthem back in high school (Glad my current bestie and the other one I fought with and got back together with held onto me despite me having this mindset. I'm glad that they were able to change me and now I make new friends everyday like it's my only way to survive 😂). I think Bum Seok was better off being friends with a mental health professional. They can help him, not Si-eun and Soo Ho. If only they knew that is the root of the problem... Well, they were high school kids. Can't expect them to know.
@@preciousokorie all three of them are destroyed, it's like asking a blind man to translate across the road ... but in this drama, they did great that they showed different ways of dealing with self-destruction...and all three are homeless. I'm sorry you had such a childhood. it is very sad that humanity has to spend a lot of time rehabilitating its personality.
in my case, I was like Sieun and little bit from Suho, I didn't study as well as Sieon, but fell into aggression like Sieon.
I almost strangled my classmate, while, as in the drama, no one interfered with me, no one interceded, stopped it, just a little more and it would have been too late.
I like this work very much, I would like to examine it in great detail and analyze all the components of the characters.
He shouldn't have only pushed him he should have killed him when he had the chance, that bitch had no problem killing both of them because of his own inferiority complex when they were only trying to help him
Also, I think in the cafeteria he pushed him not to wake him up but simply because he was cutting the line and since he didn't wanna be their friend no more they didn't have to treat him like a friend, he get the same treatment as any other bully in school. So I think that scene symbolised the official end of their friendship

He's a much more complex character, a lot of thing he pass I pass In real live so I heavily understand him and how he get there. I literally didn't turn like him in real life 'cuz I have younger siblings under my responsibility, and I decided be the person who will be always there to help them ( cuz they are minis beom seok, duet to our social, family and economic situation).
Please be more thoughtful towards beom seok, cuz unlike me, he had nobody to help him, give him motivation to be in the right way or make the effort to truly understand him.

You might not chose your past but you chose how to deal with it and he chose to be a murderer. he had many chances in the show to realise his mistake when he went too far yet he had no remorse and kept getting worse and worse just because he didn't wanna admit that he was a coward, blaming everybody else but himself... I went through my own shit too and developed anxiety and depression but never in all my live ever thought about hurting or murdering any one who did me wrong let alone my friends who were trying to help me because they didn't follow me back on social media or hurt my feelings..so yeah I had a lot of sympathy for him at first but it stopped the minute he he had no problem killing them and kept trying again and again when it didn't work at first proving it's not just a fleeting moment because he was hurt or whatever but that he's actually an ungrateful bitch who is a menace to society

@@cyntiaoliveira8076 but you said it right, you took the decision to not become like this, at the end of the day it's our decisions that makes the difference, there's a point were using what happens to you to justify your actions just becomes that, an excuse, because you can make the decision of being different, and i have no empathy or pity for Beom Seok, because his friends were loyal, they would have done everything for him, his insecurities were on him, not on his friends, he could have talk to them, he could have explain his feelings, they asked him multiple time what was wrong, and at the end of the day he went to the bully because being seen as important was more valuable to him than real friendship to the point of klling his friend, because Suho might be physically alive but inside he's no more, and it's even more upsetting when you read the manhwa, cause they gave his character a lot more reason for people to "feel sad" about him, when in the manhwa he was simply a pos. So yeah i don't really agree with your comment, but let's agree to disagree

Y’all should watch “at a distance spring is green” it has the same actors park jihoon (si eun) and Kim Su Gyeom (young-bin). It like a combination of comedy, mental health, and such

I'm currently watching it and I was surprised to see so many actors from weak hero and true beauty in it. It's a good show but the pace is really slow I think
FYI the main guy Park Jihoon (who plays the character Sieun) is one of the biggest V (V from BTS) fanboy. And he even hangs out with him. The most successful V fanboy.
The main dude was my fav when he was in a Kpop group called Wanna One, i think you guys should check out some MVs to see his diverse images
I'm one of the people who actually feels sympathy for Beomseok's character. Not at all saying that his actions are justified, but I think he 's just like most people, to an extent. It always hurts worse when someone we care about hurts us, rather than when someone we don't care about hurts us. Suho (pink pillow) shows his love for his friends in real life, not through social media. Beomseok can't rationalize this, primarily because he's never experienced friendship before, and he automatically jumps to the conclusion that Suho is using him for his money and to seem like a "King" or a "boss". (Plus, you can clearly tell that the female character was the one who took and probably posted those pictures on Suho's instagram.) Beomsoek wants Suho to feel as hurt and angry as he feels. Totally not okay, but I can see how he got to where he is. Years of trauma and a longing to be wanted and needed could break someone.
he’s such a complex character. like the things he did to sooho and everyone infuriates me but the thing is he’s actually a good person - the people around him was just so bad o him. so pitiful. that shit doesn’t justify his actions though, such a shame if he was raised by a good dad and had good friends feom the start he would have been such a great peson :(
yes! i don't understand the hate for his character since all the things he does have some kind of explanation (not a justification mind you!). he doesn't do bad shit because he is inherently bad person, his upbringing and childhood makes him more susceptible to get into the wrong group of people.
i feel bad for him but pity him as well.

I think with Beomseok, even though I got frustrated and angry I understood. I understood alot behind his anger and action however I realized it's okay to sympathize but not justify his actions. His feelings and anger and everything he became like that because of his situation. However in the end, how he deals with what the world put him through was down to him.

When i watchedvit the first time, i was too immersed with the tension and couldnt make sense anything. BUT THE ACTOR ACTING ISS STILL TOP NOTCH🙌✨
I always thought that its not that deep too but bullying is a serious matter irl. They made bumseok's character a little bit likeable and understandable in the show but i heard that he was absolutely evil in the webtoon.
Well as for me, it does really make sense as to bumseok's condition he was bound to get out of control, inferiority complex or insecurities can ruin a person's life more so if getting badly abused🤷🏻♀️

Glasses is psychologically unstable because of his past, i mean his own adoptive family are monsters. Therefore, if pink pillow talks like a bully and is built like a bully, it's not hard to see why glasses could perceive pink pillows crude-bully-like actions as "bullying" or looking down on him. And to be honest pink pillow does look down at him to an extent, I am not saying he does not see him as a friend, but some people look down on people they perceive as friends unconsciously. I really just pity glasses because at end of the day he is the one who brought them together, but he still felt so lonely.

yeah i knew the minute sooho pushed bum that was Bum's final straw with soo. we all know he had his own problems with soo ( he felt like soo always act superior, ect) so the push in the cafeteria was all he needed to act on him not liking soo anymore and man did he ughhhh. but yeah ik they tried to push him wanting to be popular but it clearly wasn't the deal. like seiun said and we all know, he's lonely. he just wanted friends/wanted to feel accepted. this is the same kid who isn't even accepted by his "dad".. abusive dad at that. and unfortunately with sooho and sieun..mainly sooho, bum didn't feel accepted within the group for his own reasons anymore. the bullies showed up for him that 1 time when they bullied bum's other bullies from his other school and that was all he needed. that made him feel accepted/protected and for people as lonely as him that's all it takes to flip. but man that stare-down between soo & bum when soo went to school after they fucked with his bike still makes my heart pound.

I don't hate Beo Sok, I angrily pity him😂
I think what he is going through is a mixture of love and jealousy, add that to his loneliness and u get negativity. It started with admiration, but notice when other students started to tell Beom Sok that he was acting up simply by he was close to Soo ho, that's when Beom Sok started to see Soo ho differently and say that he is being treated as a larky. Admiration quickly turned to jealousy.

I’m not on Beomseok’s side, but I definitely believe that Sooho shouldn’t have pushed him into the table like that. Sure he should’ve done something cz Beomseok was acting a fool in cutting and sh*t, but pushing him into the tables like that was too extreme imo, cz till that point, Beomseok hadn’t yet done anything to warrant that kind of a reaction. The other guy Sooho pushed, I believe that was called for, cz he was already a full blown bully at that point, beating people up and stuff, so him being pushed by Sooho I think was called for. I think Sooho overreacted in that moment with Beomseok cz he was already feeling all kinds of emotions towards him due to the sh*t that went down between them, and I think him doing that just pushed Beomseok further down. And of course he’s not responsible for Beomseok’s mental state and to tip toe around him just cz he’s gone through sh*t, but still… cause and effect. Even if he wasn’t responsible for Beomseok’s mental state, what he did, did lead to this chain reaction. Sure, it would’ve happened sooner or later, but it happening now, in this way, was because of what went down in the cafeteria.
