Fun fact: the part where he slapped himself wasn’t scripted, park jihoon (the actor for sieun) actually slapped himself 14 times. They had to give him an ice pack because his face was red and swollen, it’s most likely because he used method acting to get into character (just in case people don’t know, method acting is where you get into the mindset of the character to try and understand how they feel, how they live, and what they do.) He’s a really good actor!
i think you meant it wasn't 'faked'...it was in the script so technically it is scripted..that is to say it was not an adlib...but it was faked and he actually did it
@@piya6929 maybe so, but he still performed the heck out of it. it's not frequent a korean actor actually gets that engrossed in their roles. at least not in series/shows/dramas.

This show had me sitting in silence for hours
I didn’t sob but was mostly SHOCKED. The way I would cover my mouth with my hand because of such intense moments.. I heard season 2 is gonna be crazier.

And apparently that was only the backstory in the manhwa. The real story is gonna begin in season 2.
I think by slapping himself he was slapping the anger back inside him. I think he was thinking "now I either do something to them right now or to myself to pull myself together“. But then he lost it the moment he knew that they affected his exam results which obviously hold a lot of meaning to him. He dedicates his life to studying for a reason and they unreasonably messed with it. So drugging him wasn’t even the worst thing they could do to him, but messing with his grades. He obviously has violent tendencies. I believe it’s because he always bottles everything in and family issues.
I think it was to clear his head. the drug makes your head fuzzy and disoriented, while on the drug you probably wouldn't be able to focus on the exam. so by slapping himself, he could get back to his senses and focus better.

In Korean law children age 10-13 don’t go to jail even if they murder someone and age 14-19 only go to juvenile detention even with murder. And Korean juvenile detention is like a fun summer camp.
Isn’t it the same with most countries? I think in Germany they can go to jail with 18 since them they’re then legally considered adults. Once you hit 14 you go to juvenile but I think under they take different actions.

In my opinion, I think if you guys are watching kdramas that are 6-8episode it is possible to do two different shows at the same time but if it is a drama that has 20 episodes like The Glory and Vincenzo then it's definitely hard especially since they both are long (1hr+). So depending on the length of the show, you guys can try if you want.
