Its really sad that a super low mechanic champ is a must have ban. Especielly now when the game is a 30 mins fiesta so even the worst Yi (or better to say, the most braindead Yi) can get fed. Low skill cap champs should never have a higher winrate than 49%. Everything above means that the champ is OP and needs to be nerfed.
InkedNerd Low skill cap champs also tend to be the most linear. Having higher than a 49% winrate isn't a bad thing because it just means players aren't good at dealing with them. Yi offers nothing besides high damage and if he can't do the single thing he's good at because of a stun or being blown up fast (invisibility or untargetable works best to avoid him using q) then he's done.
+yraco I agree. But as of now, he's dealing too much damage and surviving a lot longer because of ER. Like, if annie misses her stun... she's gonna get punished. Or if Morgana misses her snare, she can still shield, but loses her threat to deal damage... But for Yi, he doesn't have to time all his alpha's because it will be right back up thanks to ER.. Because he's so simple to use, I think it's time for riot to increase the cd on alpha and his ult.
Oh I'm not saying he isn't strong and annoying, I was just saying that the idea low skill caps should also mean low winrates was incredibly stupid. He is really annoying to deal with if someone feeds him or the game goes on long enough but they should stop that if it's op not just because of a low skill cap.

Another good way to beat Yi is that as soon as he presses his ult just run, it doesnt matter if its a team fight or what ever if youre a Squishy ADC or what ever just run or use Hourglass or something, he usually relies heavily on his burst in the first few seconds of a fight if you can weather his Ult and Q combo by running or stopping it then either he'll be too tunnel visioned on trying to Q you whilst youre running away and after his Ult runs out simple turn on him when hes not expecting it and CC and well hes dead

As a yi main when somebody picks yi i pick jax or kayn. If playing jax just auto attack him and when he uses his q use your e and yi is death lol . Plus yi early game is trash so you can steal his jg easily because he will not be able to fight you

Oh and yeah just stop his snowball by the way, your soloq teammates will obviously always be co-operative and never cause anything outside of your control to happen. Sure he's beatable and maybe even balanced, but the point is, nothing about him feels good to play or play against, he's a cringe piece of garbage that is one of the most outdated things still in the game and anyone who isn't a yi otp wants gone or drastically changed. They even released viego, he functions like a psuedo yi and he's even stronger but the difference is you can click on him while fighting him and just the fact that it feels like you can fight back when he's fed is enough for people not to want him gone from the game.
