One of my favorite bands of all time just saw them for the 3rd time live in August anthony may not be what you call a great singer but what I love about his voice is that it isn't flashy it feels like something you can sing along to and he is a great lyricist his book scar tissue is a fantastic read and it really shows just how much they went through and makes it even more amazing when you realize they are still releasing quality albums
He is actually a much better singer than people think. It's a myth he isn't. He is occasionally slightly off pitch, but his other singing attributes are ridiculously talented. Tone, intonation, loud and soft, syllable use, light and dark.
Those covers are fine, I guess, but Frusciante happens to have whole solo career to react to so she should react to songs such as Mascara. The Past Recedes, Unreachable, Anne, etc etc etc.
Still stunned to this day how he captured the essence and vibe of being an addict in the city…. really not just city. But he did it so simply and without really saying to much. CLASSIC

guess we hooked up another john frusciante fan, lol. his backing vocals are just crazy. if you want to keep a decent memory from anthony kiedis, then don't watch any more live shows. imho he got worse and worse regarding voice register over the years. great reaction, cant believe you weren't sure if you had heard that one before
If you wanna check out more Chilis, you HAVE to do Otherside, from this same concert (Slane Castle). The vocals are legendary in that one!!

John frusciante has a great voice too.
Jimmy Fallon will have will Farrell and Chad Smith on at the same time a lot of times and they will both play the drums during the show.
