There's a reason that this is considered the greatest rock song. Ever.
"Stairway To Heaven" is more than THE antheme of the whole Rock History. It's THE revelation at all.
In order to truly appreciate this song, you have to listen to it on and off for the next 40 years :)

“Since I’ve Been Loving You” - live at Madison Square Garden, 1973 would be a excellent exposure to a whole other side of Plant’s voice. “Whole Lotta Love” - official music video is another one.
You need to watch any of Led Zeppelin's live performances from their Madison Square Garden 1973 show - such as Since I've Been Loving You.
Listen to "Heart" doing this song for the Kennedy honors Live with Led Zepplin being honored. It will blow your mind.

Not your typical rocker, Led Zep has plenty of them. But it’s the perfect song. The beautiful intro, the intriguing thought provoking lyrics, the 7 minute build up, incredible solo, and crescendo ending! Check out Immigrant Song for a rocker, Since I’ve Been Loving You for blues rock, Kashmir for eastern influences, or Thank You for a beautiful song!

This song is a "Slow burn" it's a ballad that builds to a rocker at the end!

Do the live version from Madison Square Garden. Also a must Led Zeppelin song is "Kashmir" Live from Celebration Day Concert. They got back together 25 years later in 2007 for thisone last Concert. The Drummer is the original drummer"s son. Robert Plant vocals are even better at about age 65 in this performance.

Yes, those are recorders at the beginning, performed by John Paul Jones.
Plants voice and vocal range pre 1973 was insane. Unfortunately, he had surgery to remove vocal nodules in ‘73 and lost a lot of his upper register.
