It's all in jest but being a closet case does have the power to ruin someone's life and warp the person they were meant to be, as Alison Bechdel showed with "Fun Home."
@@jimmyjames3819 It's a graphic bio about her life growing up in Pennsylvania with her family, including her closeted father. He was an intelligent, gifted man who appreciated the arts and could do any kind of handy work, including restoring a rotting 19th century mansion to "its former glory" as he and his wife raised a family but he was miserable and always cheating on his wife with men. He also used his children as unpaid interns for all of that remodeling work and made no allowances for the fact that they were kids.
The inside joke is that someone who wants me for the money makes me feel more alone than actually being alone. That’s how you can be in a room full of people and it makes me feel worse.
thats why im struggling to really appreciate this, like meh its funny enough but there's something off bout a str8 dude playing a gay character in such a stereotypical way that makes this so dated especially when even the femmest bottom i know doesn't act like this
alicevana not all black people are ghetto. Especially me, and my surrounding neighborhood...but we don't pretend they aren't out there or laugh when they are portrayed. Chill out
Yeah that really isn't an answer or applies to the OP's comment which was blatantly neutral and even states they found it funny despite not knowing any stereotypical homosexual people. Maybe you're reading a different comment.
What...the...heck??? You all need to go back and watch SNL episodes more than 10 years old, but more like 20-40 years ago and get some good ideas. By the way, a woman is made for a man, hence a love story. Men and men are like trying to fit two screws together; it just doesn't work and doesn't make any sense. I know you guys are trying to be funny, but all you make anymore is either very sexually perverse or very freakishly violent( Not to mention the third catagory you seem to do; obscenely weird). Try, please try to use your brains to come up with better material. We are not all 12 year old boys watching SNL these days, but it seems that's audience you focus your show on these days. Next you'll be playing reruns of Telitubbies and Barney. I must ask; who is writing this stuff? Have they ever told a good joke in their life? When older SNL shows used sexuality, at least it was funny and not gross and wierd. I don't agree with all the jokes, but on the regular, they knew how to get a good laugh across the board with well-thought out material. The same for many of their skits and the understanding carried with the actors as well. I see the actors these days and they break character constantly, taking away from the humor. Watch Will Ferrell if you need a lesson in this area. And if you want to introduce good slapstick comedy, watch Chris Farley when he was on SNL. If you want versatility, watch Eddie Murphy. And Showmanship, Bill Murray. Actors make Skits by the way. Bad acting, Equals bad skits. I can see there hasn't been much hammering down on the actors to not break character at every opportunity they can get. It's like watching a 5th grade classroom joke with each other while the teacher's away. You obviously need new writers, maybe a new director, and possibly new actors if they can't keep it together long enough for it to actually be funny before they start laughing themselves. You can do so much better. SNL has a long reputation of bringing smiles and laughter to people of all ages. You are tarnishing that reputation. Get it together man. Also, they need to BECOME the character. Watch former SNL actors for that as well. A serious actor becoming his or her character can really make you laugh. Keenan, is about the best you have on there right now, and I see he's slacking too.
When the violin made that dying noise I died laughing! Funny!
"I think I'll skip the jig and go straight to the drink"
Every party ever, until you get that drink in you
Fallon's Scrooge reminds me of Jack from Will & Grace, it's like spot-on.
Nah, Jack's less pitchy
🤦🏿♂️🤣👏🏿👍🏿👍🏿👌🏿
@SphynxNightmare ironically Sean Hayes came on SNL and met Jimmy Fallon.
Kate McKinnon is the best!!

Everyone exaggerates. Under every skit he doesn't fuck up the whole comment section is this

That was a hell of a large book for a 20 page story.
Ebenezer Spooge
Legend has it, it's still raining magic.
I mean, the ghost of Christmas Present has always been pretty fuckn top, like he’s a Bear by definition
Dude... I thought this was a fever dream I once had! This is real!?!?

Jimmy Fallon is a really good comedian.
I think this is how gay pride started, idk tbh the internets fucked up now days.. Now where's that explosive pickle I made..
Remember when a character being gay was the punchline? What a time
It didn't feel particularly homophobic though
Cuddle with a what?.......
humbug
haha....funny. Though, of all the gay people I know, not one are flaming at all
thats why im struggling to really appreciate this, like meh its funny enough but there's something off bout a str8 dude playing a gay character in such a stereotypical way that makes this so dated especially when even the femmest bottom i know doesn't act like this

what wasnt chill about alicevanas comment
Salana Salamone Art it embodied all the complaints. That INCLUDES the hyper arguments. So.....chill

Lolll
Just straight making fun of gay men
Yes, but I'm a gay man and I enjoyed it. The ghost's message about celebrating ones true self is a good one for all of us.
This is a bit tone deaf. I forgot. Make fun of the gay guy.
Why does Jimmy fallon
keep looking at the camera
👉🤯
Who talks like that?
(No seriously).
Jimmy Fallon is the worst SNL actor... Nothing is funny about him.... absolutely nothing.
Maybe if Scrooge tried dated a girl for once.
This would be cancelled now.
Is this Christmas day or Pride day?
Jimmy Fallon is the only bad thing about this sketch! I believe the plates behind McKinnon are funnier than him!
Well, this sketch turned out to be worthless...
I read that in a gay accent.
