So cute!! This little gang of kiddos reminds me of The Kids of Degrassi Street and Degrassi Junior high! Such beautiful pieces - soooooo many memories!!!
@@DarcysNova626 thank you! I’m so happy I found dolls to wear all these totally rad clothes. I made one more after this video… and will make one more soon.
I absolutely love Courtney, She’s one of my favorites for sure. I purchased her entire collection as well. I love that it’s so colorful and fun. Lots of mix and match with all the outfits. I have 4 Courtney’s and love changing them. I do have one in her stand with her original outfit. Thanks for sharing your awesome video. I love how you mixed and matched all of your dolls.
As as you were pulling out the blonde doll from Courtney's world, I was like..."Debbie or Belinda? Debbie or Belinda?" YES! This is adorable! I am SO excited to see your displays. The Kelly sweater and those earrings...it gives me SO MUCH nostalgia! OMG staaaaahp - 113 looks freaking amazing! I've never been interested in him until seeing yours as an 80s dude. I'm just enamored with your collection and I love the way you present them!
@agtakesover Oh!!! BELINDA!!! What a great name. That’s my older cousin’s name-and I referred to her about 80s fashion for my dolls 🤣🤣 That’s so funny you hoped for Debbie! And thanks so much! You’re always very kind… and you taught me I don’t need to use boiled water to unwig a doll (Corinne) and I’ll always be grateful lol.

OK - I had to come back for one more comment. I was 10 in 1988 and I most definitely had a denim (and lace!!) skirt in 5th grade. And SO many jelly shoes. I think her collection represents the fashion I drooled over. Most kids I know had a COUPLE pieces like hers but not this fully neon, super stylish wardrobe. Also, your Mariela doll looks so good. Gah! Just lovely.
Whoa! You were a stylish 10 year old! I looked at old family pics… and all I saw was a lot of brown and matronly floral prints. Maybe we weren’t as fashionable in Canada lol. Was your skirt acid wash?? I’ve always been obsessed with it for some reason.
@@agtakesoverGah ! You make me feel old (I watch your videos, too). I was 28 in 1978 That means I could have been your mother. As I was in my 30's and dating during that time and I didn't wear current fashion trends. Never did ever, really. I hated acid washed jeans, florescent colors and thought jelly shoes looked uncomfortable and hot (made your feet sweat ?). I lived in Trinidad in 1981 for 6 months and the kids there wore them but not because they were trendy but because they were cheap like flip flops. I was super surprised to see American children wearing them years later. Guessing around 1988 according to what you stated ?
I love the way you've done your collection, with dolls playing particular characters within Courtney's world! I think that is just so cool. Everyone looks super cute, and I love how you described the scenes that you set up.
Love the collection!! I was born in the 80s. LOVE! former #85 on the bean bag chair!! I have #85, Courtney, former #27 (yours in care bears), and 2 versions of #16. Haven't started collecting the newer Truly Me dolls yet...there's too many older dolls I want before starting to add them to my collection!! Lol! Although my main 2 I want to add to the collection this year are Claudie and Nanea. Then the only historicals I'll be missing are just the twins and Ivy.
Haha I’m one of the few weirdos who love the painted lashes on the newer TM dolls. But I have another 106 whose painted lashes I might remove. I have many Claudie dolls, and they all arrived in good shape-but Nanea seems to suffer from downward eyes, so if you can get her in person, do to lol!
@DisBlaine The lashes are growing on me...the thing I don't like about them, is that it makes them look older than the age range that are supposed to represent. It also makes them look like they have makeup on, and the targeted demographic of children shouldn't be wearing makeup. The older look is also clearly seen in the Birthstone collection...these are NOT outfits children would wear...more like high-school or college age kids.

Oh wow that’s so cool you liked the video! It means a lot that you were there and can vouch for the collection. Peter Pan boots! I like that name. I wonder if tinker bell is the reason some regions called them pixie boots 🤣
There was a version of that style boot (without the tucks) in the 1960's. They were called Go-Go boots. Made popular by singers like Nancy Sinatra (These Boots Were Made For Walking). You probably can see them on singers and backup dancers that were on American Bandstand back during that time. I had a pair. Always white, with a zipper in the back. LOL ! I still call them Go-Go boots.

Love this type of video as I have the same idea planned to make AG videos. I also bought a lot of Courtney's outfits before I even got a Courtney. Most noticeably the pjs, although I bought the blue Care Bear set and sleeping bag for the Care Bear alone, because I consider my dolls to be teens and young adults. I don't think 9 or 10 yos wore footie pjs but I may be wrong. A lot of the items I can make, like the pink and black polka dot shirt and skirt and leggings so I also, didn't buy those. I add to my 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's collection by sewing outfits that were worn during those years. Julie is fun to sew for. Can't wait to see her collection that you have.
