Mercedes Benz A Class Facelift: New vs Old - Side by Side Comparison

- The Mercedes Benz A Class has received a facelift for the 2015/2016 model year. Changes include tweaks to the exterior and interior, as well as Adaptive Suspension being made available for the first time - as an optional extra.
We thought the best way to detail these changes was to play a giant game of Spot the Difference, so we lined up an outgoing model against the new generation for this video review.

First of alI, i really really appreciate your reviews! You try to cover every aspect of the cars you test and contrasting loads of other channels, your conclusions are mostly understandable.
So thank you for the work you do, but there is one thing for which I Must really critize you - your fuel consumption figures! Don't get me wrong, the ones given aren't right either, but the ones you get are easily as far of! To get 7L/100km in an A220cdi really is due to massive accelerating every time you can or driving in the city only. Same goes for the Volvo XC90, which you tested with 9,4L/100 whereas other, Long Term, testers as "Telegraph Cars" got about 48 British Miles to the gallon which is about 6 L/100km.
All i Want to say is basically: Either Drive more reasonable or drive on some more reallistical test roads.
Apart from that, just keep in going! Greetings from Germany

This movie has an old cheap 2013 model compared with a full optional 2015 model... is not an appropriate comparison!

+bodrulm1 hi there, thanks so much for the comment! Where are you from? Maybe we can help you convert from our currency. Bear in mind though that SA pricing is largely irrelevant compared to the rest of the world due to our odd taxes and duties on vehicles.

Is this the base AMG preFL? It looks base. Mine has all LED and HID.
My sisters got an A180d , nice car, feel a bit low down in it though but i am used to my hilux. It goes alright and it feels quality built. But its a citroen diesel you know.

Love it, but too low for someone with knee problems. So it makes it absolutely unsuitable.
The led headlights are optional not standard in the uk which sucks
I'm not keen on the air scoop things on the fake air vents (I also hate fake air vents). I'm no expert in aero but they cant be doing much good, they just scoop the air into a dead end.

yeah. i bought mine when it launched and it has almost all the stuff he mentioned (the diamond grill, led drl, xenon headlights, comfort/sport/eco button, leather on the dashboard, sat nav, etc.)
i think he's just comparing it to a base car or maybe in SouthAfrica those options were not available till now.
I think he meant that all this stuff is now available in the base model too
I'm watching this in 2022 and a brand new A class is around 800/900k mark😥😥😥
But it's amazing how the old shape (on the 2nd hand market) it's still around 300/400k mark

Because it is a fuel tank from the driver's side .... when such a gaystick is typical of Japanese cars ... European character is that the car has a fuel tank opposite to the chariot side or side of the sidewalk for safety reasons and because of the order and discipline in The clerk ....
I want this car so bad but I'm only buying a new car next year. Do you think Mercedes-Benz will have a newer model then?
New model will come 2018. So maybe we'll se mid 2017 first pictures.

Those aren't the exhaust tips, they're separate inserts. The exhaust ends before them.
"Standard on the auto...". There is no manual version available. Mercedes don't make manual passenger cars except for the SLC.
