This is exactly why I searched how to make this! I don’t have that kind of money to spend so why not make something myself that’s similar, does the job and is waaayy cheaper lol!

I think you did a great job with it and it looks like it's very comfortable. If you want shorter sleeves cut the extra length od and make a pair of slippers. That way your feet will always be warm.
I love that this video is for the imperfect sewer. I hate sewing but now and then a sewing moment comes over me. I'm in the process of sewing up the opening of my dressing-gown to make a long huggle. I will not make a hood - I'll just wear a warm hat.
I’m thinking you might need a walking foot sewing machine attachment for thick fabric. We thought about making a wearable quilt years ago , a casual quilt, a dress quilt. My kids laughed so hard about just getting up in the morning and wearing your blanket all day. I have to make that wearable quilt, now that I have a better idea how to do it. Thank you for the video.

Once I can afford the materials, I am going to make mine as The Comfy. But I am going to make mine all the way down to my feet, too. Or past my feet as a real blanket. But one thing though, I would make a belt to over fold it when walking around, and then take the belt off when sleeping with it on; make it be 2 in 1 blanket. Make the belt in the same material, but not need to use the wool part for the belt itself.
After watching this I realized that making this is much easier than what I expected. Not trying to be mean but you need a lot more practice, keep doing things like this and you’ll get better very fast, I started with much simpler things but you do u 😅🤍 I’ll be making this for my bf for Christmas
You know what you could have done with the front pocket? You could have made the first one as a kangaroo style. Then make the second one in front or behind it for the sideways pocket for only your hands. I would recommend making the pocket for your hands behind the upright pocket; lay your hands flat onto your stomach that way.
