    This is perfect! I have a Rachel Ashwell fuzzy blanket that is way too feminine for our home decor. But, I LOVE it! This is a way it can keep me warm, and pretty ❤

    did you use a serger foot to sew?

    • @sewmuchado
      @sewmuchado  14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I used a combo of my serger and straight stitch machine, depending on the area I was stitching. You could definitely do it all with a regular machine though.

    This might be a reaaaaaaly stupid question, but I am a newbie guy coming into the sewing world. If I bought a blanket to do this project, do I need to separate the fabrics before doing this, or is there an advantage to having a blanket where the two fabrics are coming together? Last night I cut out the patterns with both fabrics attached.

    • @sewmuchado
      @sewmuchado  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That is actually a GREAT question! If I can, I love to cut the two fabrics together like you did - the only thing you need to be aware of is if there's a stitched border attaching the fabrics together, you'll want to avoid it so that the layers can be separated after cutting.

      @@sewmuchadoThank you! So from what I'm seeing in the video, I need to separate the fleece from the outer fabric to continue, right? The only time that the two fabrics are together in the process is when I'm cutting them out, right?

    • @sewmuchado
      @sewmuchado  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes that’s exactly right!

    Okay how do you see the cuffs like that? I’m new to sewing but completely lost on that one lol

    • @sewmuchado
      @sewmuchado  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! My advice is to just follow the video one step at a time - if you do that the cuffs will turn out great even if it doesn't make sense as you're doing it!

      @@sewmuchado Hi, thank you for this pattern, Im going to give it a go! A question first though, regarding the cuffs, when you sew on the cuffs, are you using a zigzag stitch? I have a serger as well as my sewing machine, which would you recommend? Thanks
