Every child on earth deserves to have a mom like Laura does. The world would be a different place if every kid had a "Laura's Mom" kind of mom 🙂 I remember making these snowflakes when I was a child.

Oh the memories! I made flowers to hang in my special education classroom out of paper bags years ago. I had an autistic student that said he hated them, so I made one of black bags just for him. He loved it.💙 when I took them down at the end of the year, he wanted to take his home. Thanks for the memories
my son is on the spectrum, I just want to thank you for your dedication you had for these kids. Some teachers just dont get it. ❤️

Those are gorgeous! You could use white paper clips so they would blend instead of glue and unfold them when finished with the display and store them to use each year. 💕❄️❄️
I thought that too! Paper clip together and then fold back up and store for another year. Win-win, and, even more economical.

The paper bag snow flake that wasn’t pointy on top reminded me of a puffball dahlia! Maybe an idea for Spring with pink paper bags?
Oooooh I like your idea! Maybe with a light spritz of maroon spray paint in the middle for texture/contrast! Or yellow bags with an orange spritz!

I've never seen snowflakes made that way, we used to make them with a single sheet of paper folded and then make the cuts and unfold, similar magic moment. One time my roommate made a bunch and then put iridescent glitter on them and we hung them from the ceiling in our living room/kitchen area and left them up until Valentine's. The glitter made them catch the light and almost glisten like snow does. It was so beautiful I really didn't want to take them down, it's cool how something so simple can transform a space!
Great idea with the glitter! I have also made the "flat" snowflakes so far but love the 3-dimensional ones.
That was so nice watching the family get together for dinner. Aaron and the kids are so lucky you enjoy cooking. It looked amazing 👏

On this stormy day this was the perfect video! It didn’t take long for the glue gun to appear…it made me giggle. Beautiful snowflakes and what a scrumptious looking dinner. The table was a wonderful display of “Romancing The Ordinary!”❄️🍛🥰

I noticed a common theme among the comments, we all absolutely adore Laura's mom. She has such a calming, beautiful soul and her voice is so sweet and charming it makes you feel good when you hear it. You are all truly blessed, thank you for including the rest of us and allowing us to feel that love and goodness we all need, and many miss after losing loved ones.
It was so much fun being including in your family gathering. For those of us unable to be with family for the holidays this year, this video brought a little warmth to an erstwhile lonely season.

Another great and relaxing video! Your mom with right handed scissors made me think of the time I bought left-handed scissors for my dad. He didn't know such things existed! He told everyone they were off-limits to anyone else! He's the only south paw in the family. Miss him every day.
Maybe to make the snowflakes ❄️ easy to store and save season to season, don’t glue on the last joining, but fasten with white paper clips so they can be restored flat for easy storage?

I love the snowflakes. Such a great project for not a lot of money. Time and creativity go a long way. Children use Elmer's glue and paper clips and adults use hot glue. Each snowflake is a work of art. Love it!

I love making snowflakes. I haven't done in a long time though. The snowflake without the points looks like a flower. I think you could take yellow bags and make a sun The same way you make the snowflakes.

I am a stained glass artist and one of my best sellers are my snowflakes. My biggest one is 18 inches wide and takes some time consisting of frosted clear glass, bevels and glass nuggets/ gems. Very time consuming and beautiful! So fun watching you guys! ❄️🌬️❄️

Have you ever made garlic bread using butter with a garlic clove smashed into the butter? I like the garlic powder but the garlic clove from the garden takes it to a whole new level! Dinner looked yummy!
We use garlic cloves scraped over toasted sourdough-type bread to make Bruschetta. First toast halfway in oven, scrape with garlic, add desired toppings and cheese, re-broil a little. Voilà!
yes, I always use fresh garlic and ot powder, much better for me😉👍
I make mine with butter, pressed garlic and fresh Italian parsley!
Love seeing time with you and your mom! I lost my 93 year old mom in January and it's been such a tough year. Seeing the two of you together is somehow so comforting and brings me joy. Thanks for sharing your mom with us, you are both so amazing!

Good morning I'm a fan of yours, i don't usually comment but this project was amazing, the instruction on how to make the snow flakes, i found my white bags at walmart i was so exciting, and i did one oh my goodness it came out so beautiful,i did the easy one with the small triangle on the side, im not too savy with uploading pics, i decorated my mantel after Christmas to winter decor, thank you so much for inspiring so many people by the way you look so much like your mom , that's where you get your talent from God bless you may you continue to inspire us and my greetings to your husband he's so supportive good job and children look forward to the next video, i want a green house so bad, i think its just too late im 61, maybe not. I Love the snowflakes! I wonder if you made 3 or 4 graduated sized and glued them on top of one another, it'd made a darling sort of "Christmas Tree" you could just stand on tabletop or counter. It'd be lovely in white, but I think the brown could be pretty as a tree as well (If it worked, I'm going to try it).

Suggestion: If you use white paperclips and no glue on the last step, the snowflakes could be flattened for easier storage.

It's crazy how a couple little cuts can make something so pretty! I bet those would look nice with some lights in them. That would probably be hard to do though.

Fun project. When winter turns to spring you can spray paint them and turn them into flowers. You could even have a display that starts as snowflakes, hang a few rain drops then some spray painted flowers! The Evolution of the Garden! It is super sweet that you shared the end of the day family dinner. Are you growing any lettuce in the greenhouse or raised beds under cover?

I couldn't believe my eyes and my jaw dropped when I saw how snow flakes were done and how beautiful then turn out. The contac paper mural gave my a idea for my home. That tip do not remove backing. Priceless.
