Yes, I completely agree about wanting to see how your mom uses some of the pieces she finds. Just another video idea esp for the winter. We can follow you around on your antiquing day and then see in another video how you use your pieces. Plus possibly a 3rd video how your mom uses her pieces. I absolutely love seeing how your family interacts. No one is perfect and we all get into arguments, but you and your family have such an amazing relationship and its easy to see you are actually friends too.

Actually, if you moved the bookcase out of that spot you could bring in the other chair, put a round table with a lamp between the two and have a great place to sit and read. I am an Interior Designer and I do space planning, the corner with the sideboard looks spectacular. It is so nice to see how you and your Mom both appreciate real wood furniture and use it in your living space.

I used to have 5 yards of mulch delivered and spread it all myself, do all of my planting, mowing, everything. Plus my business was hard work. My doc’s logo is “Take care of your earth suit. The corner is lovely. I too love making my home pretty. It is my artistic expression, my creative impulse! It is the warmth I want my guests to enjoy, and they do.
One drawback of having a tiny cottage like mine…not enough room to decorate! But sometimes less is more. Looks cozy!
Cozy is the most important. I downsized to a two bedroom but still enjoy decorating the smaller space. I'm focusing more on special things and letting go of the rest 🙂💖.
As much as I love the gardening videos, I also love videos like this. We have such similar tastes in decorating so I found this area to be so beautiful. Your flower arrangement was so beautiful that I thought it wasn't real!!! You do such a great job of adding so many textures & interesting, beautiful elements to your arrangements! I never would have thought to use artichokes, but they look fabulous! Love how you have decorated your home ... just beautiful, without being stuffy! Oh Laura, what an amazing transformation! The area is so much more lightfilled and I like the more formal vibe. The mirror and pictures were an excellent choice. The beautiful curtains are the icing on the cake. It is inspirational to see how one piece of new furniture can make such a dramatic effect on your home decor.

I flew home from Texas the other day and had downloaded the centerpiece and flea market videos to watch on the plane. The lady next to me loved them and is hopefully a new subscriber now! Lol We both think you are so lovely, inside and out. I’m like you, I enjoy the process over time of getting my house how I like it. Thirty-two years in and it’s still evolving! The stories each item has when searched for and repurposed, instead of all brand new. For me artwork is always old/vintage, and well as my tchotchkes and such. One of the things I like most about your side table vignette is that bow!!! LOVE IT! Perfect! The mirror, that bow and the lamp work together so beautifully! You are artistic! Okay! And everything you put on that table works so well in that room along with the other vignettes throughout the room. Oh!
