Yea Dennis ... I miss my mom... no more spending a weekday afternoon taking her out for lunch and 3 hrs grocery shopping and browsing the mall with her. I trade a weekday off and work Saturday so she can avoid the crowds on weekends.
Now.. it’s time for me to start a new tradition with my soon to be daughter in law and do a monthly or every 6 weeks browsing flea markets, etc. shopping with her.
Waiting for covid to be done .....
A daughter in law can be like a daughter ....I hope we grow to be like that.

I enjoyed this immensely! My mom died just before quarantine. I can’t believe it’s been a year. I used to take her to lunch and a movie the last few years. When she was healthier her favorite thing was to shop for her grandchildren. I miss her.

That setee is called a chaperone chair. It was for someone to sit in the room with a young couple who were courting. It’s made the way it is so the chaperone could put their feet up and read or do needlework. Those zany Victorians!

I can’t express to you how much I enjoy these videos of you and your mom just bonding through a mutual fondness for antiquing. I lost my mother in law, who was very much like a mom to me, a couple of years ago. She was the one who introduced and got me into antiquing, it was something I very much enjoyed doing with her. Watching this brought tears to my eyes... I miss her very much. During a time when it’s strange to go out, thank you for this video. 💝

Love the mother daughter get togethers also. My mom and I had started to enjoy going out to shop and have lunch about three years before she got sick. They are such precious memories for me now. I wish we'd made more. Blessings upon this beautiful family.

I felt for Laura trying to get up in that big truck. My sister drives a tall truck. Once, my nephew-in-law had to bring out the step ladder so I could climb aboard. (This was a couple Thanksgivings ago so there was some after-dinner bloat involved.)
Have you and Aaron ever thought about a Railroad Garden? I have been interested in them for years and they are amazing. You can run them even in the snow, so very weather adaptive and Benjamin would love it. Maybe a small one in his section or a large one for everyone to enjoy. There are magazines and Railroad Garden events. I urge you to at least check out some of the websites. They are amazing.

I might be one of few male commenter here, but oh my goodness, that was a great journey into antique shops, and lucky to be with Laura and gorgeous mum Susan. I live in Boise! It's fun watching you gals shop in my town. After your last excursion here I had my grandson take me to your store; it was fun! Lovely nursery - can't wait til spring and we'll make the trip again! (Lived in Oregon most of my growing up years. I can feel the difference just going across the river!)

My mom passed away several years ago and I miss her so much. However, watching you and your mom together is so enduring and in a strange way, helps me miss her less. You two are such a blessing.❤️
Your relationship with your mom reminds me of the times I used to spend shopping with my mom. She has been gone for almost 9 years now, but those times together were so special. It's bittersweet for me to watch and brings me such joy to revisit my memories and live vicariously through the two of you.

Hi Laura, when I had my first child Julia, my mother went antique shopping and bought me a whole lot of single bud vases for my child to pick single flowers. Best gift ever. Great in bathrooms or beside the sink in the kitchen. Perfect... present.

Remember that time your mom was filming you at the nursery. But she was really filming herself. That was so great . You both had a good life and probably a lot of folks on here. I loved it. Reminded me of some of the times my mom and I had a good laugh.

We were military families and she would come visit wherever we were (except Germany).She died in 2010 of early onset Alzheimer’s disease and I miss her.
