- Violin Concerto No. 4 in D major K. 218 was composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in 1775 in Salzburg. The autograph of the score is preserved in Biblioteka Jagiellońska, Kraków. The concerto has the usual fast-slow-fast structure and lasts around 23 minutes. The movements are:
1. Allegro
2. Andante cantabile
and 3. Rondeau (Andante grazioso - Allegro ma non troppo).

Yes, you're exactly right. Szeryng recorded Mozart's complete violin concertos (Nos. 1-6) for Philips Classics, with the New Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Sir Alexander Gibson.

un hombre musicalmente admirable como los grandes genios contemporaneos de su epoca me gusta mucho el concierto n 1 para violin y su sonata n 18 para piano ya q hay un virtuosismo muy avanzado asi como en sus sinfonias q muestran la grandeza de su obra genios como el demuestran a la zoociedad actual q un grammy es un premio insignificante la trascendencia de mozart no se dara nunca en ningun ser humano aunq tenga capacidades similares

Nice recording!@Am4d3usM0z4rt I'm pretty sure the soloist is Henryk Szeryng accompanied by Sir Alexander Gibson and the New Philharmonia Orchestra. I think Gibson died in 1995 if I'm not mistaken so this must be before then!

because it's a european orchestra. A440 is a north american prejudice. A442 and 435 are just better for most pieces...a matter of depth vis-a-vis timbre, overtones, and resonance.
It's probably just the PAL version.

Your insights and analysis are interesting, but it's just wrong to co-opt these performances for your purposes without giving the performers proper credit. You really should re-think that practice.

I'd love to give credit to the performers, but I have NO CLUE who they are as the source of these mp3s (mozart-archiv.de) doesn't name them either. I'm just spreading a recording that was "free" in the first place, and I'm making NO money whatsoever from this, I'm not even a TH-cam partner. The ads were placed by TH-cam and any cash goes to companies like UMPG, AdShare MG, WMG etc. who will hopefully send it in the right direction.

I have noticed this for every Mozart piece that "Am4d3usM0z4rt" uploads..... Anyway the renditions are perfect.....
A bit pedantic....Mozart can do no wrong for me. Utter genius. I don't much care who is playing and I have listened to many/many.ALL are good - it's just some are better than others.

These artists are locked in practice rooms for HOURS a day, everyday, for their ENTIRE LIVES...and you don't even have the decency to credit them for their efforts while profiting from them? That is just wrong, and you should really rethink that.
