Modern Talking a real low point in music and I am talking really really low. You cant dig or bore a hole that is low enough for this shit. Dieter Bohlen the human grilled chicken.

There is a story to Modern Talking. At the start of their "career" the most favourite german music show was "Ronnie's Pop show" and it was huge. Ingolf Lück was the moderator and he thought it would be funny to take the worst song that was just released and present it on the show. They did and so Modern Talking became famous. But really Modern Talking was and is still really bad music that was just made to produce a quick hit.

    I'm also from Romania.
After the Revolution, Modern Talking was among the first foreign music I heard, thanks to my aunt who had emigrated to Germany years before.
In 1990 she could finally visit us, and brought us good chocolate, peanuts, a color tv and a vcr, and all sorts of luxuries we didn't have - or couldn't afford.
And a radio cassette player with a lot of music cassettes - including MT, so that's why they have a special place in my heart.
For me, they were the sound of freedom, in a quite literal sense.

Actually they werent active during the disco era, the band formed in 1983, disco was long over by then and new wave had moved in. Modern Talking were something special as their tracks all had an intense disco sounding beat, but were never ever ever considered a disco band haha, seriously. One of my favorites of all time

Your mom has excellent taste in music Miss Bisscute, congratulations. I loved your reaction❤❤❤❤ and seeing you smile and move to the beat of the music. Modern Talking was a German Eurodisco music duo. formed by singer Thomas Anders and producer Dieter Bohlen. In sales, it was considered the second most successful group in Germany, after Scorpions. For future reactions you could consider other male duets of the time such as: Hall and Oates with "man-eater" and Pet Shop Boys with "Domino dancing" i think you Will like them.😊

OMG so many good memories with this band, i grew up listening thanks to my dad, unfortunately my mom past away when i was a toddler but her favorite artist was a very famous Spanish singer called Camilo Sesto, highly suggest "¿Quieres ser mi amante?" or "El amor de mi vida", he's not singing live but either way it'll be a nice throwback and oc you will warm my heart with it.
Modern Talking got a lot of nice hits, i also remember from this album "Atlantis Is Calling (SOS For Love)" and others hits like you mentioned Cherry Cherry Lady and You're My Heart, You're My Soul from previous album, and Geronimo's Cadillac after this album.
I came to know during last years the sad true behind this duo, i mean Thomas Anders it's definitely a great singer and he's legit, but the producer Dieter Bohlen don't sing in any of these songs, he used another uncredited singer and unfortunately this didn't end well even after 2000 when they came back with new versions and songs.
Fun fact, Tomas Anders got a song called "The Sweet Hello, The Sad Goodbye" but he gave the song first to Roxette to playing it and it's really good, especially the remix version that came up later, another band that i grew up listening and i miss so much.
Anyway thanks for sharing this old but good 80's hit.❤

I know Modern Talking where, and still are, huge in Russia and ex-Soviet countries, as well as many other European countries, including mine.
Here in my country in the mid 80's they where absolutely MASSIVE. Our charts in 85 on some weeks would have something like: "Cheri Cheri Lady" at nº1, "You're My Heart You're My soul" at nº2, "You Can Win If You Want" at nº3 on the singles chart, and "The 1st Album" at nº1, and "Lets Talk About Love" at nº 2 on the albums chart, that's how huge they where.
Some other hit songs to check out:
    Cheri Cheri Lady
You're My Heart You're My Soul
You Can Win If You Want
    Atlantis Is Calling
    Geronimo's Cadillac

    Why did Modern Talking split?
According to Bohlen, the main reason for breaking up the group was Anders' then-wife Nora, who refused to have her husband interviewed by female reporters, and constantly demanded huge changes made to shows, videos or recordings, a fact that Anders later admitted in his biography.
