4th year in a row of making these pies. The cornstarch creates a solid filling that never runs. The pie crust is never weak or wet. The lemon adds a perfect zest. Perfect every time.
@mariecadely7834 definitely is. Ive done a few of his recipes and they turned out so good. I stopped baking for a while, but when I came his channel, that was it...hooked again
I made this along with your pie crest recipe. It was WONDERRFUL! I received a lot of compliments. One addition I made was a sprinkle of nutmeg in the crust. I appreciate you talking during the videos. I gather a lot of useful information.
I just made this pie - it was fantastic! Only difference for me was, I added a few more extra blueberries, I used 1/2 cup sugar instead of 2/3 cup (may have made filling a bit more watery though) and I had a full pie lid with 4 slits in it (i.e. no lattice work). All in all, an amazing pie! Prob my favourite pie!
God, thank you for deliverance from evil and from all wickedness. Thank you God for salvations and thank you for mercies. Thank you for holidays and that we enter your gates at Thanksgiving. Thank you for Thanksgiving. Thank you for blueberries 🫐. I am thankful for them. Thank you for everything blueberry. That is one thing I fell for; with you God. I love you. 🧢
Out of heaven my friend 🧡 you are the Best 👌 may you grow more nd the lord be with your family always may your talent go beyond everything 🙏 appreciate everything ❤️ 🙏
Yeah, it’s so scrumptious. The pie of the blueberry. And by the way this is my lovely fruit, especially when I will some healthy of cocktails for my self and my friends are definitely I would share still one person. Because it’s so delicious. Just Yummy 😋
Surprising my partner with a blueberry pie for our anniversary on the 29th (and also as a little celebration for pride month/our first year living together!) and this recipe looks sooo yummy! Here's hoping it turns out good!!
João, tenho acompanhado seu canal, e algumas receitas até acertei e outras não. Vou fazer essa torta que parece ser bastante fácil, mas no meu país o mirtilio é muito caro, por não produzirmos em grande quantidade.
FYI, it's super easy to make this sugar free using a sweetener like Swerve or monkfruit. My hubby and I are both on a diet and we literally can't taste the difference.
I made it... but... the bottom crust really needed to be "blind baked", as even though I cooked it for MORE than what the recipe calls for, it was still soggy. Not good. The blueberries needed more sugar or something, as they didn't have much flavor. I'm not sure how to test for that before baking though. The top lattice crust, on the other hand, was superb, especially since I made John's home made pie crust.
Perhaps ten years ago I promised myself that if I could find a blueberry pie recipe in any cooking or baking magazine, or in any TH-cam video, that ONLY contained ingredients that I like, and not a single ingredient that I dislike, then I would have to make that pie. Guess what? I searched and searched, but I couldn't find A SINGLE recipe that ONLY contained ingredients that I liked. Almost always, they wanted me to use the dreaded ingredient that you see at 2.10 in this video. What, you say, John told you that this was optional, so you could just so easily skip that ingredient if you don't like it and make the pie without it. But that was not the deal that I made with myself. I had promised that I would make a blueberry pie if the recipe didn't suggest or recommend that I use A SINGLE ingredient that I don't like. Practically all blueberry pie recipes recommended that I should use the dreaded ingredient that John used at 2.10. So, long story short, I never made a blueberry pie because I could never find a recipe that I could use. And now, years later, I still haven't made one.

So far i have done four of your recipes, and i have been successful. Everything turns out delicious. Love that you explain with detail every step.
The heat will humble it! Love how you talk. Makes for a better experience and a bit more sophisticated.
Why do I always watch this channel when I'm hungry 😂

This was a big hit with the family. And I loved you gave the idea of add orange instead of lemon because I was out of lemon. Thank you 😊
Thank you very kindly for this guide, I just popped mine in the oven!
Even the bowl you use is beautiful

Love the foiled edge trick...thank you!
You are a lemon fan, can’t go wrong with a zesty addition to any fruit.
God I love you John ❤😂❤ !!! As a granny who grew up with wild Maine blueberries, 🫐 you have made me soooo sentimental ❤😅❤
I always cover my baking sheet with foil just in case there is bubble over from the pie. It makes clean up a lot easier👍.
Now you tell me (ha!). I just baked a blueberry pie and I see I will have scrubbing to do later tonight.
Thank you! You are so easy to follow and your pies made me look like a rock star at Thanksgiving. I’m making your blueberry for friends tonight. 🎄😘
My favorite berry pie. I miss my mothers pies 🥰 I have tried and failed😣 I guess it is a practice, practice, practice thing right ❣️
My go to channel for any kinda dessert.

😍Yummy 😋 this with ice-cream... Absolute heaven!
I fell in love with blueberry pie when I was 2 years old! I eat EVERYTHING blueberry ... wonderful antioxidants 🥧🫐🥧🫐🥧
I love pies in all flavors!
I love 1/2 tsp. Of ground coriander in my blueberry pie. Sounds weird, but it is wonderful!
I can see using ground up coriander seeds. It has a spicy sweet herby flavor. Whereas cumin is spicy earthy herby. Lol
How is he still so fit for how good his recipes are??
He has family who love to eat what he cooks!
Probably because the recipes never actually turn out
I love the part when you are sprinkling the sugar on! This looks amazing
Yummy I'm excited to try this recipe!! Thank you ❤
My husband loves Blueberries, I'll have to surprise him with this for fathers day
Out of heaven my friend 🧡 you are the Best 👌 may you grow more nd the lord be with your family always may your talent go beyond everything 🙏 appreciate everything ❤️ 🙏
Try Wyman's Maine Wild Blueberries, John. Fresh or frozen make a huge difference in flavor! :)
Great looking blueberry pie. 💙
I love watching your videos. U r a great teacher!❤️

I trust all of his recipes
This channel makes me hungry! 🥰❤️
❤ You are amazing 🎉. Greentings from Santiago, Chile
Beautiful recipe 🇦🇺
Visuals are also important. Just the looks can make or break whether at home or a restaurant.
I always add CINNAMON too ✨
You make it look so easy and I think, “Yeah, right. I can’t do that!” Lol 😂 Looks so yummy though!
In Montreal we get 3 large containers for 5 bucks Canadian. That’s equivalent to about 3.50 in American.
I would melt the butter and stir it in with everything else so its distributed.
the pie looks beautiful😊💙🫐👏👏👏
looks amazing
Holy moly !!!❤
Oh no! I made your blueberry cobbler the other week😋. This will be the death of me. 😊❣️
I just love berries and jam from berries in a pie.🫐🥧
Surprising my partner with a blueberry pie for our anniversary on the 29th (and also as a little celebration for pride month/our first year living together!) and this recipe looks sooo yummy! Here's hoping it turns out good!!

When do we and don’t we want to pre-bake the pie crust bottom?
João, tenho acompanhado seu canal, e algumas receitas até acertei e outras não. Vou fazer essa torta que parece ser bastante fácil, mas no meu país o mirtilio é muito caro, por não produzirmos em grande quantidade.
I luv blubbery pie

Hi sir
What can be my alternative for the egg wash if I do not eat eggs?
Delicious yummy
im going to make this pie after watching the movie Heretic.
Thanks, John! How about a CHARLOTTE CAKE? 🙂
A scoop of ice cream please 😋
No blind baking the bottom crust?
Love 💕 this recipe but I’m a diabetic bummer
FYI, it's super easy to make this sugar free using a sweetener like Swerve or monkfruit. My hubby and I are both on a diet and we literally can't taste the difference.
Yum ❣️
Can you please make croquembouche
how would I convert this recipe to hand pies?
I made it... but... the bottom crust really needed to be "blind baked", as even though I cooked it for MORE than what the recipe calls for, it was still soggy. Not good. Can we get a Cookie Croissant recipe/video please?
Where can I get those bowls??

That was apple pie

Eggs are not my friend. Would I be able to use milk (half and half) or butter?
I've always used half and half and sprinkle sugar on top. Comes out lovely
Usually love these Recipes but I made this and made the recommended adjustments for frozen blueberries and its was soup…
