Only difference for me was, I added a few more extra blueberries, I used 1/2 cup sugar instead of 2/3 cup (may have made filling a bit more watery though) and I had a full pie lid with 4 slits in it (i.e. no lattice work). All in all, an amazing pie! Prob my favourite pie!

FYI, it's super easy to make this sugar free using a sweetener like Swerve or monkfruit. My hubby and I are both on a diet and we literally can't taste the difference.
I made it... but... the bottom crust really needed to be "blind baked", as even though I cooked it for MORE than what the recipe calls for, it was still soggy. Not good. The blueberries needed more sugar or something, as they didn't have much flavor. I'm not sure how to test for that before baking though. The top lattice crust, on the other hand, was superb, especially since I made John's home made pie crust.
Perhaps ten years ago I promised myself that if I could find a blueberry pie recipe in any cooking or baking magazine, or in any TH-cam video, that ONLY contained ingredients that I like, and not a single ingredient that I dislike, then I would have to make that pie. Guess what? I searched and searched, but I couldn't find A SINGLE recipe that ONLY contained ingredients that I liked. Almost always, they wanted me to use the dreaded ingredient that you see at 2.10 in this video. What, you say, John told you that this was optional, so you could just so easily skip that ingredient if you don't like it and make the pie without it. But that was not the deal that I made with myself. I had promised that I would make a blueberry pie if the recipe didn't suggest or recommend that I use A SINGLE ingredient that I don't like. Practically all blueberry pie recipes recommended that I should use the dreaded ingredient that John used at 2.10. So, long story short, I never made a blueberry pie because I could never find a recipe that I could use. And now, years later, I still haven't made one.

I love 1/2 tsp. Of ground coriander in my blueberry pie. Sounds weird, but it is wonderful!
I can see using ground up coriander seeds. It has a spicy sweet herby flavor. Whereas cumin is spicy earthy herby. Lol
