Wow. What a hike - I was exhausted just watching especially all that rock climbing. A group of us kids used to camp along the Brisbane River for days at a time, mostly at Arababy and occasionally in the Mt Stanley area. Wonderful times. I forgot to mention earlier, but I am sure you are on to it, the restoration of the Stone House in Moore. Thanks for vlogging such a brilliant trip.
@@brisbaneriver-thewholejour2600 yes, we camped on the flats by the river near the bridge at the start of the road. May have been on Des and Mary Campbell's property (relations of one of our group; Des passed away earlier this year). Back in the 70s the river was flowing well and you could swim not only there but also right up at several crossings towards Mt Stanley.
@@brisbaneriver-thewholejour2600 actually just reading your q properly, no it wasn't Arababy Creek but off Arababy Creek Rd on the actual Brisbane River.
Did you guys come across Furling's Hut a virtical split log construction. Our family spent a week over Christmas circa 1960. The hut sits a hundred or so yards above the Brisbane River that is about six foot wide. The main attraction is a deep rock pool below what would be a waterfall when in flood. I remember the huge eels resting in the shaded shallows. Cheers
Found these a month or so ago and finally got around to catching up. Super grateful that you're putting these together. I'd love to be involved in a project like this some time in the future. Keep up the great work :)
Beautiful shots and scenery. I really appreciate the project.
Thank you - there are plenty more sceneries and histories to come..
Another great video! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks :-)

100% agree Lachlan
Love it up there, mate of mine lives up old Esk rd there, and we've done the old Cobb n Co track a couple of times over the years
It's a great track through some nice landscapes.

Thanks Wendy - was that Arababy Creek that you walked along?

Looks like a great spot - I look forward to seeing that stretch of the river in the next few weeks.

We missed it - for all my research I didn’t come across that one. Where precisely is it?
Great work guys. Interesting watch as always. Looking forward to the next episode.
Thanks Anthony
