Nice one Glad to see more people becoming more aware of all our land and river care issues . Looks like a fun paddle too the water level looks like it was just the perfect height for a leisurely paddle
Thanks - it was a perfect paddle, good rain after a long dry spell, beautiful laminar flow all the way. The next leg was one week after the big flood, a very different experience.
Thanks Brad - it was the upper river at it's best, with a good but not excessive flow after the recent rains. The post-flood trip (episode 10) was more harrowing.
Wonderful episode thanks. Lovely to see the river’s flow and brings back lots of memories of floating downstream on tyre tubes. Very heartening to hear about the rehabilitation work and fish restocking too. Waiting eagerly for the next section!
Thanks Magnus and Luke for another great episode. Lovely scenery as usual, and how inspiring to hear from Garry about his and the Association's important and valuable work rehabilitating the river and its biota. Keep up the good work!
Another enjoyable and interesting video Magnus. The stretches of river, from very narrow sections to the wider areas and the wonderful surrounds.....10/10.
Tilapia are up the western branch where the Bullcamp road meets the river was down there last weekend and a mate said he caught a couple there so it did not take them long to get from Whivenhoe to there
Hi there - it's hit or miss, with good water flow you can start north of Linville, but in a normal low water situation you'd be carrying the yak a lot and pushing through thick weeds in the waterholes.
Restock with some Mullet there were thousands in the river 20 and 30 years ago but sad there are none now and they must go out to sea to breed but would be great to see them back
Great channel guys. Keep it up

Great video of a beautiful waterway. It's always great to hear from Garry Fitzgerald - the David Attenborough of the Sweetwater 👍
Thanks Kizza - and well said about Garry
Nice trip this one, good running water and gentle landscape, tis a nice part of the trip on the Brisbane, Keep up the good work lads.

Thanks Wendy - floating on tyre tubes sounds like a lot of fun, I'd give that a go

Thanks Tony - lots of people contributing to conservation in their own ways, that's how change is made.
Another great video, I really enjoyed watching that, good to see the river with good flow upstream again, Thanks for sharing :)
Thanks! Btw - ivory creek should be running clear now, and is teeming with life
@@brisbaneriver-thewholejour2600 Thanks I'll check it out 🙂

Cheers John - the river is at its best right now, plenty of water after a few good rains

They move quickly - but they're not above the McCauley Weir on Cooyar Creek (yet)
Very nice video. Is it possible to paddle this sections of the upper Brisbane River in normal conditions without abnormal water flows?:

There's a great piece on the annual mullet fishing in the Linville episode - what a loss to the river and its communities
